यसा 21
1 दश्त — ए — दरिया के बारे में नबुवत: जिस तरह दक्खिनी हवा ज़ोर से चली आती है, उसी तरह वह दश्त से और मुहीब सरज़मीन से नज़दीक आ रहा है।
The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweeping on, it cometh from the wilderness, from a dreadful land.
2 एक हौलनाक ख़्वाब मुझे नज़र आया; दग़ाबाज़ दग़ाबाज़ी करता है; और ग़ारतगर ग़ारत करता है ऐ ऐलाम, चढ़ाई कर; ऐ मादै, मुहासिरा कर; मैं वह सब कराहना जो उसकी वजह से हुआ, ख़त्म करता हूँ।
A grievous vision is declared unto me: 'The treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam! besiege, O Media! All the sighing thereof have I made to cease.'
3 इसलिए मेरी कमर में सख़्त दर्द है, मैं जैसे दर्द — ए — ज़िह में तड़पता हूँ, मैं ऐसा परेशान हूँ कि सुन नहीं सकता; मैं ऐसा परेशान हूँ कि देख नहीं सकता।
Therefore are my loins filled with convulsion; pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman in travail; I am bent so that I cannot hear; I am affrighted so that I cannot see.
4 मेरा दिल धड़कता है, और ख़ौफ़ अचानक मुझ पर ग़ालिब आ गया; शफ़क़ — ए — शाम जिसका मैं आरज़ूमन्द था, मेरे लिए ख़ौफ़नाक हो गई।
My heart is bewildered, terror hath overwhelmed me; the twilight that I longed for hath been turned for me into trembling.
5 दस्तरख़्वान बिछाया गया, निगहबान खड़ा किया गया, वह खाते हैं और पीते हैं; उठो ऐ सरदारो सिपर पर तेल मलो!
They prepare the table, they light the lamps, they eat, they drink — 'Rise up, ye princes, anoint the shield.'
6 क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझे यूँ फ़रमाया, कि “जा निगहबान बिठा; वह जो कुछ देखे वही बताए।
For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Go, set a watchman; let him declare what he seeth!
7 उसने सवार देखे, जो दो — दो आते थे, और गधों और ऊँटों पर सवार और उसने बड़े ग़ौर से सुना।”
And when he seeth a troop, horsemen by pairs, a troop of asses, a troop of camels, he shall hearken diligently with much heed.
8 तब उसने शेर की तरह आवाज़ से पुकारा, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, मैं अपनी दीदगाह पर तमाम दिन खड़ा रहा, और मैंने हर रात पहरे की जगह पर काटी।
And he cried as a lion: 'Upon the watch-tower, O Lord, I stand continually in the daytime, and I am set in my ward all the nights.'
9 और देख, सिपाहियों के ग़ोल और उनके सवार दो — दो करके आते हैं! “फिर उसने यूँ कहा, कि बाबुल गिर पड़ा, गिर पड़ा; और उसके मा'बूदों की सब तराशी हुई मूरतें बिल्कुल टूटी पड़ी हैं।”
And, behold, there came a troop of men, horsemen by pairs. And he spoke and said: 'Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods are broken unto the ground.'
10 ऐ मेरे गाहे हुए और मेरे खलीहान के ग़ल्ले, जो कुछ मैंने रब्ब — उल — अफ़वाज इस्राईल के ख़ुदा से सुना, तुमसे कह दिया।
O thou my threshing, and the winnowing of my floor, that which I have heard from the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
11 दूमा के बारे में नबुव्वत किसी ने मुझ को श'ईर से पुकारा कि ऐ निगहबान, रात की क्या ख़बर है?
The burden of Dumah. One calleth unto me out of Seir: 'Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?'
12 निगाहबान ने कहा, सुबह होती है और रात भी अगर तुम पूछना चाहते हो तो पूछो तुम फिर आना?
The watchman said: 'The morning cometh, and also the night — if ye will inquire, inquire ye; return, come.'
13 'अरब के बारे में नबुव्वत ऐ ददानियों के क़ाफ़िलों, तुम 'अरब के जंगल में रात काटोगे।
The burden upon Arabia. In the thickets in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye caravans of Dedanites.
14 वह प्यासे के पास पानी लाए, तेमा की सरज़मीन के बाशिन्दे, रोटी लेकर भागने वाले से मिलने को निकले।
Unto him that is thirsty bring ye water! The inhabitants of the land of Tema did meet the fugitive with his bread.
15 क्यूँकि वह तलवारों के सामने से नंगी तलवार से, और खेंची हुई कमान से, और जंग की शिद्दत से भागे हैं।
For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
16 क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझ से यूँ कहा कि मज़दूर के बरसों के मुताबिक़, एक बरस के अन्दर अन्दर क़ीदार की सारी हशमत जाती रहेगी।
For thus hath the Lord said unto me: 'Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail;
17 और तीर अन्दाज़ों की ता'दाद का बक़िया या'नी बनी क़ीदार के बहादुर थोड़े से होंगे; क्यूँकि इस्राईल के ख़ुदा ने यूँ फ़रमाया है।
and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished; for the LORD, the God of Israel, hath spoken it.'
