हिज़ि 23
1 और ख़ुदावन्द का कलाम मुझ पर नाज़िल हुआ:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 कि 'ऐ आदमज़ाद, दो 'औरतें एक ही माँ की बेटियाँ थीं।
Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother:
3 उन्होंने मिस्र में बदकारी की, वह अपनी जवानी में बदकार बनी वहाँ उनकी छातियाँ मली गईं और वहीं उनकी दोशीज़गी के पिस्तान मसले गए।
and they went a-whoring in Egypt in their youth: there their breasts fell, there they lost their virginity.
4 उनमें से बड़ी का नाम ओहोला और उसकी बहन का नाम ओहोलीबा था वह दोनों मेरी हो गईं और उनसे बेटे बेटियाँ पैदा हुए और उनके यह नाम ओहोला और ओहोलीबा सामरिया व येरूशलेम हैं।
And their names were Oola the elder, and Ooliba her sister: and they were mine, and bore sons and daughters: and [as for] their names, Samaria was Oola, and Jerusalem was Ooliba.
5 और ओहोला जब कि वह मेरी थी, बदकारी करने लगी और अपने यारों पर या'नी असूरियों पर जो पड़ोसी थे, 'आशिक़ हुई।
And Oola went a-whoring from me, and doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians that were her neighbors,
6 वह सरदार और हाकिम और सबके सब दिल पसन्द जवाँ मर्द और सवार थे, जो घोड़ों पर सवार होते और अर्गवानी पोशाक पहनते थे।
clothed with purple, princes and captains; [they were] young men and choice, all horseman riding on horses.
7 और उसने उन सबके साथ जो असूर के बरगुज़ीदा मर्द थे बदकारी की, और उन सबके साथ जिनसे वह 'इश्कबाज़ी करती थी, और उनके सब बुतों के साथ नापाक हुई।
And she bestowed her fornication upon them; all were choice sons of the Assyrians: and on whoever she doted herself, with them she defiled herself in all [their] devices.
8 उसने जो बदकारी मिस्र में की थी उसे न छोड़ा, क्यूँकि उसकी जवानी में वह उससे हम — अगोश हुए और उन्होंने उसकी दोशीज़्गी के पिस्तानों को मसला और अपनी बदकारी उस पर उण्डेल दी।
And she forsook not her fornication with the Egyptians: for in her youth they committed fornication with her, and they deflowered her, and poured out their fornication upon her.
9 इसलिए मैंने उसे उसके यारों या'नी असूरियों के हवाले कर दिया जिन पर वह मरती थी।
Therefore I delivered her into the hands of her lovers, into the hands of the children of the Assyrians, on whom she doted.
10 उन्होंने उसको बरहना किया और उसके बेटों — बेटियों को छीन लिया और उसे तलवार से क़त्ल किया; इसलिए वह 'औरतों में अंगुश्त नुमा हुई क्यूँकि उन्होंने उसे 'अदालत से सज़ा दी।
They uncovered her shame: they took her sons and daughters, and killed her with the sword: and she became a byword among women: and they wrought vengeance in her for the sake of the daughters.
11 'और उसकी बहन ओहोलीबा ने यह सब कुछ देखा, लेकिन वह शहवत परस्ती में उससे बदतर हुई और उसने अपनी बहन से बढ़ कर बदकारी की।
And her sister Ooliba saw [it], and she indulged in her fondness more corruptly than she, and in her fornication more than the fornication of her sister.
12 वह असूरियों पर 'आशिक़ हुई जो सरदार और हाकिम और उसके पड़ोसी थे, जो भड़कीली पोशाक पहनते और घोड़ों पर सवार होते और सबके सब दिल पसन्द जवान मर्द थे।
She doted upon the sons of the Assyrian, princes and captains, her neighbors, clothed with fine linen, horsemen riding on horses; [they were] all choice young men.
13 और मैंने देखा, कि वह भी नापाक हो गई; उन दोनों की एक ही चाल चलन थी।
And I saw that they were defiled, [that] the two [had] one way.
14 और उसने बदकारी में तरक़्क़ी की क्यूँकि जब उसने दीवार पर मर्दों की सूरतें देखीं, या'नी कसदियों की तस्वीरें जो शन्गर्फ़ से खिंची हुई थीं,
And she increased her fornication, and she saw men painted on the wall, likenesses of the Chaldeans painted with a pencil,
15 जो पटकों से कमरबस्ता और सिरों पर रंगीन पगड़ियाँ पहने थे, और सब के सब देखने में हाकिम अहल — ए — बाबुल की तरह थे जिनका वतन कसदिस्तान है।
having variegated girdles on their loins, having also richly dyed [attire] upon their heads; all had a princely appearance, the likeness of the children of the Chaldeans, of their native land.
16 तो देखते ही वह उन पर मरने लगी, और उनके पास कसदिस्तान में क़ासिद भेजे।
And she doted upon them as soon as she saw them, and sent forth messengers to them into the land of the Chaldeans.
17 तब अहल — ए — बाबुल उसके पास आकर 'इश्क़ के बिस्तर पर चढ़े, और उन्होंने उससे बदकारी करके उसे आलूदा किया और वह उनसे नापाक हुई, तो उसकी जान उनसे बेज़ार हो गई।
And the sons of Babylon came to her, into the bed of rest, and they defiled her in her fornication, and she was defiled by them, and her soul was alienated from them.
18 तब उसकी बदकारी 'ऐलानिया हुई और उसकी बरहनगी बेसत्र हो गई; तब मेरी जान उससे बेज़ार हुई जैसी उसकी बहन से बेज़ार हो चुकी थी।
And she exposed her fornication, and exposed her shame: and my soul was alienated from her, even as my soul was alienated from her sister.
19 तोभी उसने अपनी जवानी के दिनों की याद करके जब वह मिस्र की सरज़मीन में बदकारी करती थी, बदकारी पर बदकारी की।
And you did multiply your fornication, so as to call to remembrance the days of your youth, wherein you did commit whoredom in Egypt,
20 इसलिए वह फिर अपने उन यारों पर मरने लगी, जिनका बदन गधों के जैसा बदन और जिनका इन्ज़ाल घोड़ों के जैसा इन्ज़ाल था।
and you did dote upon the Chaldeans, whose flesh is as the flesh of the asses, and their members [as] the members of horses.
21 इस तरह तूने अपनी जवानी की शहवत परस्ती को, जबकि मिस्री तेरी जवानी की छातियों की वजह से तेरे पिस्तान मलते थे, फिर याद किया।
And you did look upon the iniquity of your youth, [the things] which you wrought in Egypt in your lodgings, where were the breasts of your youth.
22 इसलिए ऐ ओहोलीबा ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा यूँ फ़रमाता है: कि “देख, मैं उन यारों को जिनसे तेरी जान बेज़ार हो गई है उभारूंगा कि तुझ से मुख़ालिफ़त करें, और उनको बुला लाऊँगा कि तुझे चारों तरफ़ से घेर लें।
Therefore, Ooliba, thus says the Lord; Behold, I [will] stir up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated, and I will bring them upon you round about,
23 अहल — ए — बाबुल और सब कसदियों को फ़िकू़द और शो'अ और को'अ और उनके साथ तमाम असूरियों को, सब के सब दिल पसन्द जवाँ मर्दों को, सरदारों और हाकिमों को, और बड़े बड़े अमीरों और नामी लोगों को जो सबके सब घोड़ों पर सवार होते हैं तुझ पर चढ़ा लाऊँगा।
the children of Babylon, and all the Chaldeans, Phacuc, and Sue, and Hychue, and all the sons of the Assyrians with them; choice young men, governors and captains, all princes and renowned, riding on horses.
24 और वह असलह — ए — जंग और रथों और छकड़ों और उम्मतों के गिरोह के साथ तुझ पर हमला करेंगे, और ढाल और फरी पकड़ कर और खू़द पहनकर चारों तरफ़ से तुझे घेर लेंगे; मैं 'अदालत उनको सुपुर्द करूँगा, और वह अपने क़ानून के मुताबिक़ तेरा फ़ैसला करेंगे।
And they all shall come upon you from the north, chariots and wheels, with a multitude of nations, shields and targets; and [the enemy] shall set a watch against you round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall take vengeance on you with their judgments.
25 और मैं अपनी गै़रत को तेरी मुख़ालिफ़ बनाऊँगा और वह ग़ज़बनाक होकर तुझ से पेश आयेंगे और तेरी नाक और तेरे कान काट डालेंगे और तेरे बाक़ी लोग तलवार से मारे जाएँगे। वह तेरे बेटे और बेटियों को पकड़ लेंगे और तेरा बक़िया आग से भसम होगा।
And I will bring upon you my jealousy, and they shall deal with you in great wrath: they shall take away your nose and your ears; and shall cast down your remnant with the sword: they shall take your sons and your daughters; and your remnant fire shall devour.
26 वह तेरे कपड़े भी उतार लेंगे और तेरे नफ़ीस ज़ेवर लूट ले जायेंगे
And they shall strip you of your raiment, and take [away] your ornaments.
27 और मैं तेरी शहवत परस्ती और तेरी बदकारी जो तूने मुल्क — ए — मिस्र में सीखी मौकू़फ़ करूँगा, यहाँ तक कि तू उनकी तरफ़ फिर आँख न उठाएगी और फिर मिस्र को याद न करेगी।
So I will turn back your ungodliness from you, and your fornication from the land of Egypt: and you shall not lift up your eyes upon them, and shall no more remember Egypt.
28 'क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा यूँ फ़रमाता है: कि देख, मैं तुझे उनके हाथ में जिनसे तुझे नफ़रत है, हाँ, उन्हीं के हाथ में जिनसे तेरी जान बेज़ार है दे दूँगा।
Therefore thus says the Lord God; Behold, I [will] deliver you into the hands of those whom you hate, from whom your soul is alienated.
29 और वह तुझ से नफ़रत के साथ पेश आएँगे, और तेरा सब माल जो तूने मेहनत से पैदा किया है छीन लेंगे और तुझे 'ऊरियान और बरहना छोड़ जायेंगे यहाँ तक कि तेरी शहवत परस्ती — ओ — ख़बासत और तेरी बदकारी फ़ाश हो जाएगी।
And they shall deal with you in hatred, and shall take all [the fruits] of your labors and your toils, and you shall be naked and bare: and the shame of your fornication shall be exposed: and your ungodliness and your fornication
30 यह सब कुछ तुझ से इसलिए होगा कि तूने बदकारी के लिए दीगर क़ौम का पीछा किया और उनके बुतों से नापाक हुई।
brought this upon you, in that you went a-whoring after the nations, and did defile yourself with their devices.
31 तू अपनी बहन के रस्ते पर चली, इसलिए मैं उसका प्याला तेरे हाथ में दूँगा।
You did walk in the way of your sister; and I will put her cup into your hands.
32 ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा यूँ फ़रमाता है: कि तू अपनी बहन के प्याले से जो गहरा और बड़ा है पियेगी तेरी हँसी होगी और तू ठठ्ठों में उड़ाई जाएगी, क्यूँकि उसमें बहुत सी समाई है।
Thus says the Lord; Drink your sister's cup, deep and large, and full, to cause complete drunkenness.
33 तू मस्ती और सोग से भर जाएगी; वीरानी और हैरत का प्याला, तेरी बहन सामरिया का प्याला है।
And you shall be thoroughly weakened; and the cup of destruction, the cup of your sister Samaria,
34 तू उसे पियेगी और निचोड़ेगी और उसकी ठेकरियाँ भी चबाई जाएगी, और अपनी छातियाँ नोचेगी क्यूँकि मैं ही ने यह फ़रमाया है, ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा फ़रमाता है।
drink you it, and I will take away her feasts and her new moons: for I have spoken [it], says the Lord.
35 फिर ख़ुदावन्द यूँ फ़रमाता है, कि चूँकि तू मुझे भूल गई और मुझे अपनी पीठ के पीछे फेंक दिया इसलिए अपनी बदज़ाती और बदकारी की सज़ा उठा।”
Therefore thus says the Lord; Because you has forgotten me, and cast me behind your back, therefore receive you [the reward] of your ungodliness and your fornication.
36 फिर ख़ुदावन्द ने मुझे फ़रमाया: कि 'ऐ आदमज़ाद, क्या तू ओहोला और ओहोलीबा पर इल्ज़ाम न लगाएगा? तू उनके घिनौने काम उन पर ज़ाहिर कर।
And the Lord said to me, Son of man, will you not judge Oola and Ooliba? and declare to them their iniquities?
37 क्यूँकि उन्होंने बदकारी की और उनके हाथ ख़ूनआलूदा हैं हाँ उन्होंने अपने बुतों से बदकारी की और अपने बेटों को जो मुझ से पैदा हुए आग से गुज़ारा कि बुतों की नज़र होकर हलाक हों।
For they have committed adultery, and blood was in their hands, they committed adultery with their devices, and they passed through the fire to them their children which they bore to me.
38 इसके 'अलावा उन्होंने मुझ से यह किया कि उसी दिन उन्होंने मेरे हैकल को नापाक किया, और मेरे सबतों की बेहुर्मती की।
So long too as they did these things to me, they defiled my sanctuary, and profaned my sabbaths.
39 क्यूँकि जब वह अपनी औलाद को बुतों के लिए ज़बह कर चुकीं, तो उसी दिन मेरे हैकल में दाख़िल हुई, ताकि उसे नापाक करें और देख, उन्होंने मेरे घर के अन्दर ऐसा काम किया।
And when they sacrificed their children to their idols, they also went into my sanctuary to profane it: and whereas they did thus in the midst of my house;
40 बल्कि तुम ने दूर से मर्द बुलाए जिनके पास क़ासिद भेजा, और देख, वह आए जिनके लिए तूने गु़स्ल किया और आँखों में काजल लगाया और बनाओ सिंगार किया;
and whereas they did thus to the men that came from afar, to whom they sent messengers, and as soon as they came, immediately you did wash yourself, and did paint your eyes and adorn yourself with ornaments,
41 और तू नफ़ीस पलंग पर बैठी और उसके पास दस्तरख़्वान तैयार किया, और उस पर तूने मेरी ख़ुशबू और मेरा 'इत्र रख्खा।
and sat on a prepared bed, and before it [there was] a table set out, and [as for] mine incense and mine oil, they rejoiced in them,
42 और एक 'अय्याशी जमा'अत की आवाज़ उसके साथ थी और आम लोगों के 'अलावा वीरान से शराबियों को लाए और उन्होंने उनके हाथों में कंगन और सिरों पर ख़ुशनुमा ताज पहनाए।
and they raised a sound of music, and [that] with men coming from the wilderness out of a multitude of men, and they put bracelets on their hands, and a crown of glory on their heads;
43 “तब मैंने उसके ज़रिए' जो बदकारी करते करते बुढ़िया हो गई थीं, कहा, अब यह लोग उससे बदकारी करेंगे और वह उनसे करेगी।
Therefore I said, Do they not commit adultery with these? and has she also gone a-whoring [after] the manner of a harlot?
44 और वह उसके पास गए जिस तरह किसी कस्बी के पास जाते हैं, उसी तरह वह उन बदज़ात 'औरतों, ओहोला और ओहोलीबा के पास गए।
And they went in to her, as [men] go in to a harlot; so they went in to Oola and to Ooliba to work iniquity.
45 लेकिन सादिक़ आदमी उन पर वह फ़तवा देंगे जो बदकार और खू़नी 'औरतों पर दिया जाता है, क्यूँकि वह बदकार 'औरतें हैं और उनके हाथ खू़न आलूदा हैं।”
And they are just men, and shall take vengeance on them with the judgment of an adulteress and the judgment of blood: for they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46 क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा यूँ फ़रमाता है: कि “मैं उन पर एक गिरोह चढ़ा लाऊँगा, और उनको छोड़ दूँगा कि इधर — उधर धक्के खाती फिरें और ग़ारत हों।
Thus says the Lord God, Bring up a multitude upon them, and send trouble and plunder into the midst of them.
47 और वह गिरोह से उनको पथराव करेगी और अपनी तलवारों से क़त्ल करेगी, उनके बेटों — बेटियों को हलाक करेगी और उनके घरों को आग से जला देगी।
And stone them with the stones of a multitude, and pierce them with their swords: they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and shall burn up their houses.
48 यूँ मैं बदकारी को मुल्क से ख़त्म करूँगा ताकि सब 'औरतें 'इबरत पज़ीर हों और तुम्हारी तरह बदकारी न करें।
And I will remove ungodliness out of the land, and all the women shall be instructed, and shall not do according to their ungodliness.
49 और वह तुम्हारे बुराई का बदला तुम को देंगे, और तुम अपने बुतों के गुनाहों की सज़ा का बोझ उठाओगे, ताकि तुम जानों कि ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा मैं ही हूँ।”
And your ungodliness shall be recompensed upon you, and you shall bear the guilt of your devices: and you shall know that I am the Lord.
