इफिसियों 4
1 पस मैं जो ख़ुदावन्द में क़ैदी हूँ, तुम से गुज़ारिश करता हूँ कि जिस बुलावे से तुम बुलाए गए थे उसके मुवाफ़िक़ चाल चलो,
So I—this prisoner in the Lord—am encouraging you to make sure you live according to the principles to which you were called.
2 या'नी कमाल दरियाई और नर्मदिल के साथ सब्र करके मुहब्बत से एक दुसरे की बर्दाश्त करो;
Don't think proudly of yourselves; be gentle and patient, showing tolerance to each other in love.
3 सुलह सलामती के बंधन में रहकर रूह की सौग़ात क़ाईम रखने की पूरी कोशिश करें
Make every effort to remain one in the Spirit through the peace that binds you together.
4 एक ही बदन है और एक ही रूह; चुनाँचे तुम्हें जो बुलाए गए थे, अपने बुलाए जाने से उम्मीद भी एक ही है।
For there's one body, and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope.
5 एक ही ख़ुदावन्द, है एक ही ईमान है, एक ही बपतिस्मा,
The Lord is one, our trust in him is one, and there's one baptism;
6 और सब का ख़ुदा और बाप एक ही है, जो सब के ऊपर और सब के दर्मियान और सब के अन्दर है।
there's one God and Father of everyone. He is over all and through all and in all.
7 और हम में से हर एक पर मसीह की बाख़्शिश के अंदाज़े के मुवाफ़िक़ फ़ज़ल हुआ है।
To each of us grace was given in proportion to Christ's generous gift.
8 इसी वास्ते वो फ़रमाता है, “जब वो 'आलम — ए — बाला पर चढ़ा तो क़ैदियों को साथ ले गया, और आदमियों को इन'आम दिए।”
As Scripture says, “When he ascended to the heights he took captives with him, and gave gifts to humanity.”
9 (उसके चढ़ने से और क्या पाया जाता है? सिवा इसके कि वो ज़मीन के नीचे के 'इलाक़े में उतरा भी था।
(Regarding this: it says he ascended, but that means he also had previously descended to our lowly world.
10 और ये उतरने वाला वही है जो सब आसमानों से भी ऊपर चढ़ गया, ताकि सब चीज़ों को मा'मूर करे)।
The one that descended is the same one who also ascended to the highest heaven in order that he could make the whole universe complete.)
11 और उसी ने कुछ को रसूल, और कुछ को नबी, और कुछ को मुबश्शिर, और कुछ को चरवाहा और उस्ताद बनाकर दे दिया।
The gifts he gave were so that some could be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers,
12 ताकि मुक़द्दस लोग कामिल बनें और ख़िदमत गुज़ारी का काम किया जाए, और मसीह का बदन बढ़ जाएँ
with the purpose of preparing God's people for the work of helping others, to help the body of Christ to grow.
13 जब तक हम सब के सब ख़ुदा के बेटे के ईमान और उसकी पहचान में एक न हो जाएँ और पूरा इंसान न बनें, या'नी मसीह के पुरे क़द के अन्दाज़े तक न पहुँच जाएँ।
We grow together until we all reach the state of being one in our trust in and knowledge of the Son of God, completely grown up, measuring up to full maturity in Christ.
14 ताकि हम आगे को बच्चे न रहें और आदमियों की बाज़ीगरी और मक्कारी की वजह से उनके गुमराह करनेवाले इरादों की तरफ़ हर एक ता'लीम के झोंके से मौजों की तरह उछलते बहते न फिरें
We shouldn't be little children any more, tossed about and blown along by every passing breeze of doctrine, confused by human trickery, led into error by crafty people who deceitfully scheme;
15 बल्कि मुहब्बत के साथ सच्चाई पर क़ाईम रहकर और उसके साथ जो सिर है, या; नी मसीह के साथ, पैवस्ता हो कर हर तरह से बढ़ते जाएँ।
instead by speaking the truth in love we ought to grow up in everything into Christ, who is our head.
16 जिससे सारा बदन, हर एक जोड़ की मदद से पैवस्ता होकर और गठ कर, उस तासीर के मुवाफ़िक़ जो बक़द्र — ए — हर हिस्सा होती है, अपने आप को बढ़ाता है ताकि मुहब्बत में अपनी तरक़्क़ी करता जाए।
It's because of him that the whole body operates, every joint holding it together as each individual part does what it's supposed to, and the whole body grows, building itself up in love.
17 इस लिए मैं ये कहता हूँ और ख़ुदावन्द में जताए देता हूँ कि जिस तरह ग़ैर — क़ौमें अपने बेहूदा ख़यालात के मुवाफ़िक़ चलती हैं, तुम आइन्दा को उस तरह न चलना।
So let me say this to you—in fact I insist on it in the Lord—that you should no longer live like the foreigners do, in their empty-headed way.
18 क्यूँकि उनकी 'अक़्ल तारीक हो गई है, और वो उस नादानी की वजह से जो उनमें है और अपने दिलों की सख़्ती के ज़रिए ख़ुदा की ज़िन्दगी से अलग हैं।
In the darkness of their minds they don't understand, and they have been cut off from the life of God because they don't know anything and in their stubbornness they don't want to know.
19 उन्होंने ख़ामोशी के साथ शहवत परस्ती को इख़्तियार किया, ताकि हर तरह के गन्दे काम बड़े शोक से करें।
Because they are past caring they abandon themselves to sensuality, and greedily do all kinds of disgusting things.
20 मगर तुम ने मसीह की ऐसी ता'लीम नहीं पाई।
But that's not what you learned about Christ!
21 बल्कि तुम ने उस सच्चाई के मुताबिक़ जो ईसा में है, उसी की सुनी और उसमें ये ता'लीम पाई होगी।
Didn't you hear about him? Weren't you taught concerning him? Didn't you learn the truth as it is in Jesus?
22 कि तुम अपने अगले चाल — चलन की पुरानी इंसान ियत को उतार डालो, जो धोखे की शहवतों की वजह से ख़राब होती जाती है
So get rid of your former lifestyle, that old nature that ruins you through deceptive desires!
23 और अपनी 'अक़्ल की रूहानी हालात में नए बनते जाओ,
Let yourselves be re-made spiritually and mentally,
24 और नई इंसान ियत को पहनो जो ख़ुदा के मुताबिक़ सच्चाई की रास्तबाज़ी और पाकीज़गी में पैदा की गई है।
and put on your new nature that God created so you will be like him, right and holy in the truth.
25 पस झूठ बोलना छोड़ कर हर एक शख़्स अपने पड़ोसी से सच बोले, क्यूँकि हम आपस में एक दूसरे के 'बदन हैं।
So reject lies, and tell the truth to each other—for we belong to each other.
26 ग़ुस्सा तो करो, मगर गुनाह न करो। सूरज के डूबने तक तुम्हारी नाराज़गी न रहे,
Don't sin by getting angry; don't let evening come and find you still mad—
27 और इब्लीस को मौक़ा न दो।
and don't give the devil any opportunity.
28 चोरी करने वाला फिर चोरी न करे, बल्कि अच्छा हुनर इख़्तियार करके हाथों से मेहनत करे ताकि मुहताज को देने के लिए उसके पास कुछ हो।
Thieves, stop your stealing, and do honest, productive work with your hands, so you'll have something to give to those who need it.
29 कोई गन्दी बात तुम्हारे मुँह से न निकले, बल्कि वही जो ज़रूरत के मुवाफ़िक़ तरक़्क़ी के लिए अच्छी हो, ताकि उससे सुनने वालों पर फ़ज़ल हो।
Don't use bad language. Speak words that will encourage people as necessary, so that those who listen will be helped.
30 और ख़ुदा के पाक रूह को ग़मगीन न करो, जिससे तुम पर रिहाई के दिन के लिए मुहर हुई।
Don't disappoint the Holy Spirit of God that marked you as belonging to him until the day of redemption.
31 हर तरह की गर्म मिज़ाजी, और क़हर, और ग़ुस्सा, और शोर — ओ — ग़ुल, और बुराई, हर क़िस्म की बद ख़्वाही समेत तुम से दूर की जाएँ।
Get rid of every kind of bitterness, rage, anger, verbal abuse, and insults, along with all forms of evil.
32 और एक दूसरे पर मेहरबान और नर्मदिल हो, और जिस तरह ख़ुदा ने मसीह में तुम्हारे क़ुसूर मु'आफ़ किए हैं, तुम भी एक दूसरे के क़ुसूर मु'आफ़ करो।
Be kind and compassionate to each other, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.
