1 जब बादशाह अपने महल में रहने लगा, और ख़ुदावन्द ने उसे उसको चारों तरफ़ के सब दुश्मनों से आराम बख़्शा।
Afterwarde when the King sate in his house and the Lord had giuen him rest rounde about from all his enemies,
2 तो बादशाह ने नातन नबी से कहा, “देख मैं तो देवदार की लकड़ियों के घर में रहता हूँ लेकिन ख़ुदावन्द का संदूक़ पर्दों के अन्दर रहता है।”
The King saide vnto Nathan the Prophet, Beholde, nowe I dwel in an house of cedar trees, and the Arke of God remayneth within the curtaines.
3 तब नातन ने बादशाह से कहा। “जा जो कुछ तेरे दिल में है कर क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द तेरे साथ है।”
Then Nathan sayde vnto the King, Go, and doe all that is in thine heart: for the Lord is with thee.
4 और उसी रात को ऐसा हुआ कि ख़ुदावन्द का कलाम नातन को पहुँचा कि।
And the same night the worde of the Lord came vnto Nathan, saying,
5 “जा और मेरे बन्दा दाऊद से कह, ख़ुदावन्द यूँ फ़रमाता है कि क्या तू मेरे रहने के लिए एक घर बनाएगा?
Goe and tell my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord, Shalt thou buylde me an house for my dwelling?
6 क्यूँकि जब से मैं बनी इस्राईल को मिस्र से निकाल लाया आज के दिन तक किसी घर में नहीं रहा, बल्कि ख़ेमा और मसकन में फिरता रहा हूँ।
For I haue dwelt in no house since the time that I brought the children of Israel out of Egypt vnto this day, but haue walked in a tent and tabernacle.
7 और जहाँ जहाँ मैं सब बनी इस्राईल के साथ फिरता रहा, क्या मैं ने कहीं किसी इस्राईली क़बीले से जिसे मैंने हुक्म किया कि मेरी क़ौम इस्राईल की गल्ला बानी करो यह कहा कि तुमने मेरे लिए देवदार की लकड़ियों का घर क्यों नहीं बनाया?
In al the places wherein I haue walked with all the children of Israel, spake I one worde with any of the tribes of Israel when I commanded the iudges to feede my people Israel? or sayde I, Why build ye not me an house of cedar trees?
8 इसलिए अब तू मेरे बन्दा दाऊद से कहा कि रब्बुल अफ़्वाज यूँ फ़रमाता है, कि मैंने तुझे भेड़साला से जहाँ तू भेड़ बकरियों के पीछे पीछे फिरता था लिया, ताकि तू मेरी क़ौम इस्राईल का रहनुमा हो।
Nowe therefore so say vnto my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord of hostes, I tooke thee from the sheepecote following the sheepe, that thou mightest bee ruler ouer my people, ouer Israel.
9 और मैं जहाँ जहाँ तू गया तेरे साथ रहा, और तेरे सब दुश्मनों को तेरे सामने से काट डाला है, और मैं दुनिया के बड़े बड़े लोगों के नाम की तरह तेरा नाम बड़ा करूँगा।
And I was with thee wheresoeuer thou hast walked, and haue destroyed all thine enemies out of thy sight, and haue made thee a great name, like vnto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
10 और मैं अपनी क़ौम इस्राईल के लिए एक जगह मुक़र्रर करूँगा, और वहाँ उनको जमाऊँगा ताकि वह अपनी ही जगह बसें और फिर हटाये न जायें, और शरारत के फ़र्ज़न्द उनको फिर दुख नहीं देने पायेंगे जैसा पहले होता था।
(Also I will appoynt a place for my people Israel, and will plant it, that they may dwell in a place of their owne, and moue no more, neither shall wicked people trouble them any more as before time,
11 और जैसा उस दिन से होता आया, जब मैंने हुक्म दिया, कि मेरी क़ौम इस्राईल पर क़ाज़ी हों और मैं ऐसा करूँगा, कि तुझको तेरे सब दुश्मनों से आराम मिले इसके अलावा ख़ुदावन्द तुझको बताता है कि ख़ुदावन्द तेरे घरको बनाये रख्खेगा।
And since the time that I set Iudges ouer my people of Israel) and I will giue thee rest from al thine enemies: also the Lord telleth thee, that he will make thee an house.
12 और जब तेरे दिन पूरे हो जायेंगे और तू अपने बाप दादा के साथ मर जाएगा, तो मैं तेरे बाद तेरी नसल को जो तेरे सुल्ब से होगी, खड़ा करके उसकी हुकूमत को क़ाईम करूँगा।
And when thy daies bee fulfilled, thou shalt sleepe with thy fathers, and I wil set vp thy seede after thee, which shall proceede out of thy body, and will stablish his kingdome.
13 वही मेरे नाम का एक घर बनाएगा और मैं उसकी बादशाहत का तख़्त हमेशा के लिए क़ाईम करूँगा।
He shall buyld an house for my Name, and I will stablish ye throne of his kingdome for euer.
14 और मैं उसका बाप हूँगा और वह मेरा बेटा होगा, अगर वह ख़ता करे तो मैं उसे आदमियों की लाठी और बनी आदम के ताज़िया नों से नसीहत करूँगा।
I will be his father, and hee shall bee my sonne: and if he sinne, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the plagues of the children of men.
15 लेकिन मेरी रहमत उससे जुदा न होगी, जैसे मैंने उसे साऊल से जुदा किया जिसे मैंने तेरे आगे से हटा दिया।
But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I tooke it from Saul whome I haue put away before thee.
16 और तेरा घर और तेरी बादशाहत हमेशा बनी रहेगी, तेरा तख़्त हमेशा के लिए क़ाईम किया जायेगा।
And thine house shall be stablished and thy kingdome for euer before thee, euen thy throne shalbe stablished for euer.
17 जैसी यह सब बातें और यह सारा ख़्वाब था वैसा ही दाऊद से नातन ने कहा।
According to all these wordes, and according to all this vision, Nathan spake thus vnto Dauid.
18 तब दाऊद बादशाह अन्दर जाकर ख़ुदावन्द के आगे बैठा, और कहने लगा, ऐ मालिक ख़ुदावन्द मैं कौन हूँ और मेरा घराना क्या है कि तूने मुझे यहाँ तक पहुँचाया।
Then King Dauid went in, and sate before the Lord, and sayde, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
19 तो भी ऐ मालिक ख़ुदावन्द यह तेरी नज़र में छोटी बात थी क्यूँकि तूने अपने बन्दा के घराने के हक़ में बहुत मुद्दत तक का ज़िक्र किया है और वह भी ऐ मालिक ख़ुदावन्द आदमियों के तरीक़े पर।
And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God, therefore thou hast spoken also of thy seruants house for a great while: but doth this appertaine to man, O Lord God?
20 और दाऊद तुझसे और क्या कह सकता है? क्यूँकि ऐ मालिक ख़ुदावन्द तू अपने बन्दा को जानता है।
And what can Dauid say more vnto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy seruant.
21 तूने अपने कलाम की ख़ातिर और अपनी मर्ज़ी के मुताबिक़ यह सब बड़े काम किए, ताकि तेरा बन्दा उनसे वाकिफ़ हो जाए।
For thy words sake, and according to thine owne heart hast thou done all these great things, to make them knowen vnto thy seruant.
22 इसलिए तू ऐ ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा, बुज़ुर्ग है, क्यूँकि जैसा हमने अपने कानों से सुना है उसके मुताबिक़ कोई तेरी तरह नहीं और तेरे 'अलावह कोई ख़ुदा नहीं।
Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that wee haue heard with our eares.
23 और दुनिया में वह कौन सी एक क़ौम है जो तेरे लोगों या'नी इस्राईल की तरह है, जिसे ख़ुदा ने जाकर अपनी क़ौम बनाने को छुड़ाया, ताकि वह अपना नाम करे, और तुम्हारी ख़ातिर बड़े बड़े काम और अपने मुल्क के लिए और अपनी क़ौम के आगे जिसे तूने मिस्र की क़ौमों से और उनके मा'बूदों से रिहाई बख़्शी होलनाक काम करे।
And what one people in the earth is like thy people, like Israel? whose God went and redeemed them to himselfe, that they might be his people, and that hee might make him a name, and do for you great things, and terrible for thy land, O Lord, euen for thy people, whome thou redeemedst to thee out of Egypt, from the nations, and their gods?
24 और तूने अपने लिए अपनी क़ौम बनी इस्राईल को मुक़र्रर किया, ताकि वह हमेशा के लिए तेरी क़ौम ठहरे और तू ख़ुद ऐ ख़ुदावन्द उनका ख़ुदा हुआ।
For thou hast ordeyned to thy selfe thy people Israel to be thy people for euer: and thou Lord art become their God.
25 और अब तू ऐ ख़ुदावन्द उस बात को जो तूने अपने बन्दा और उसके घराने के हक़ में फ़रमाई है, हमेशा के लिए क़ाईम करदे और जैसा तूने फ़रमाया है वैसा ही कर।
Nowe therefore, O Lord God, confirme for euer the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy seruant and his house, and doe as thou hast sayde.
26 और हमेशा यह कह कहकर तेरे नाम की बड़ाई की जाए, कि रब्ब — उल — अफ़्वाज इस्राईल का ख़ुदा है और तेरे बन्दा दाऊद का घराना तेरे सामने क़ाईम किया जाएगा।
And let thy Name bee magnified for euer by them that shall say, The Lord of hostes is the God ouer Israel: and let the house of thy seruant Dauid be stablished before thee.
27 क्यूँकि तूने ऐ रब्ब — उल — अफ़्वाज इस्राईल के ख़ुदा अपने बन्दा पर ज़ाहिर किया, और फ़रमाया कि मैं तेरा घराना बनाए रख्खूँगा, तब तेरे बन्दा के दिल में यह आया कि तेरे आगे यह मुनाजात करे।
For thou, O Lord of hostes, God of Israel, hast reueiled vnto thy seruant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy seruant bene bold to pray this prayer vnto thee.
28 और ऐ मालिक ख़ुदावन्द तू ख़ुदा है और तेरी बातें सच्ची हैं, और तूने अपने बन्दे से इस नेकी का वा'दा किया है।
Therefore now, O Lord God, (for thou art God, and thy words be true, and thou hast tolde this goodnes vnto thy seruant)
29 इसलिए अब अपने बन्दा के घराने को बरकत देना मंज़ूर कर, ताकि वह हमेशा तेरे नज़दीक वफ़ादार रहे, कि तू ही ने ऐ मालिक ख़ुदावन्द यह कहा है, और तेरी ही बरकत से तेरे बन्दे का घराना हमेशा मुबारक रहे।”
Therefore nowe let it please thee to blesse the house of thy seruant, that it may continue for euer before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and let the house of thy seruant be blessed for euer, with thy blessing.
