2 तवा 8
1 और बीस साल के आख़िर में जिन सुलेमान ने ख़ुदावन्द का घर और अपना घर बनाया था यूँ हुआ कि।
It happened at the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the house of Jehovah, and his own house,
2 सुलेमान ने उन शहर को जो हुराम ने सुलेमान को दिए थे फिर ता'मीर किया और बनी इस्राईल को वहाँ बसाया।
that the cities which Hiram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
3 और सुलेमान हमात ज़ूबाह को जाकर उस पर ग़ालिब हुआ।
Solomon went to Hamath Zobah, and prevailed against it.
4 और उसने वीरान में तदमूर को बनाया और ख़ज़ाना के सब शहरों को भी जो उस ने हमात में बनाए थे।
He built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the storage cities, which he built in Hamath.
5 और उसने ऊपर के बैत हौरून और नीचे के बैत हौरुन को बनाया जो दीवारों और फाटकों और अड़बंगों से मज़बूत किए हुए शहर थे।
Also he built Upper Beth Horon, and Lower Beth Horon, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
6 और बा'लत और ख़ज़ाना के सब शहर जो सुलेमान के थे और रथों के सब शहर और सवारों के शहर जो कुछ सुलेमान चाहता था कि येरूशलेम और लुबनान और अपनी ममलुकत की सारी सर ज़मी बनाए वह सब बनाया।
and Baalath, and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
7 और वह सब लोग जो हित्तियों और अमोरियों और फ़रिज़्ज़ीयों और हव्वियों और यबूसियों में से बाक़ी रह गए थे और इस्राईली न थे।
As for all the people who were left of the Hethites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel;
8 उन ही की औलाद जो उनके बाद मुल्क में बाक़ी रह गई थी जिसे बनी इस्राईल ने नाबूद नहीं किया, उसी में से सुलेमान ने बेगारी मुक़र्रर किए जैसा आज के दिन है।
of their descendants who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel did not destroy, of them Solomon conscripted for slave labor to this day.
9 लेकिन सुलेमान ने अपने काम के लिए बनी इस्राईल में से किसी को ग़ुलाम न बनाया बल्कि वह जंगी मर्द और उसके लस्करों के सदार और उसके रथों और सवारों पर हुक्मरान थें।
But of the children of Israel, Solomon made no slaves for his work; but they were men of war, and his commanders, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.
10 और सुलेमान बादशाह के खास मनसबदार जो लोगों पर हुकूमत करते थे दो सौ पचास थें।
These were the chief officers of king Solomon: five hundred fifty, who ruled over the people.
11 और सुलेमान फ़िर'औन की बेटी को दाऊद के शहर से उस घर में जो उसके लिए बनाया था ले आया क्यूँकि उसने कहाँ, कि मेरी बीवी इस्राईल के बादशाह दाऊद के घर में नहीं रहेंगी क्यूँकि वह मक़ाम मुक़द्दस है जिन में ख़ुदावन्द का सन्दूक़आ गया है।
Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the City of David to the house that he had built for her; for he said, "My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places where the ark of Jehovah has come are holy."
12 तब सुलेमान ख़ुदावन्द के लिए ख़ुदावन्द उस मज़बह पर जिसको उसने उसारें के सामने बनाया था सोख़्तनी क़ुर्बानीयाँ अदा करने लगा।
Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to Jehovah on the altar of Jehovah, which he had built before the porch,
13 वह हर दिन के फ़र्ज़ के मुताबिक़ जैसा मूसा ने हुक्म दिया था सब्तों और नए चाँदों और साल में तीन बार मुक़र्रारा 'ईद या'नी फ़तीरी रोटी की 'ईद और हफ़्तों की 'ईद और ख़ेमों की 'ईद पर क़ुर्बानी करता था।
even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times in the year, in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tents.
14 और उस ने बाप दाऊद के हुक्म के मुताबिक़ काहिनों के फ़रीक़ो को हर दिन के फ़र्ज़ के मुताबिक़ उनके काम पर और लावीयों को उनकी ख़िदमत पर मुक़र्रर किया ताकि वह काहिनों के आमने सामने हम्द और ख़िदमत करें और दरबानों को भी उनके फ़रीक़ो के मुताबिक़ हर फाटक पर मुक़र्रर किया क्यूँकि मर्दे ख़ुदा दाऊद ने ऐसा ही हुक्म दिया था।
He appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise, and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by their divisions at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
15 और वह बादशाह के हुक्म से जो उसने काहिनों और लावियों को किसी बात की निस्बत या ख़ज़ानों के हक़ में दिया था बाहर न हुए।
They did not depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
16 और सुलेमान का सारा काम ख़ुदावन्द के घर की बुनियाद डालने के दिन से उसके तैयार होने तक तमाम हुआ और ख़ुदावन्द का घर पूरा बन गया।
Now all the work of Solomon was carried out from the day of the foundation of the house of Jehovah, until it was finished. So the house of Jehovah was completed.
17 तब सुलेमान अस्यून जाबर और ऐलोत को गया जो मुल्क — ए — अदोम में समुन्दर के किनारे है।
Then went Solomon to Ezion Geber, and to Eilat, on the seashore in the land of Edom.
18 और हुराम ने अपने नौकरों के हाथ से जहाज़ों और मलाहों को जो समुन्दर से वाक़िफ़ थे उसके पास भेजा और वह सुलेमान के मुलाज़िमों के साथ ओफ़ीर में आए और वहाँ से साढ़े चार सौ क़िन्तार सोना लेकर बादशाह के पास लाए।
And Hiram sent him ships and servants who had knowledge of the sea by the hands of his servants; and they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and fetched from there four hundred fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
