2 तवा 6
1 तब सुलेमान ने कहा, ख़ुदावन्द ने फ़रमाया है कि वह गहरी तारीकी में रहेगा।
Then, said Solomon, —Yahweh, said, that he would make his habitation in thick gloom;
2 लेकिन मैंने एक घर तेरे रहने के लिए बल्कि तेरी हमेशा सुकूनत के वास्ते एक जगह बनाई है।
But, I, have built a house as a home for thee, —A settled place for thee to abide in, for ages.
3 और बादशाह ने अपना मुँह फेरा और इस्राईल की जमा'अत को बरकत दी और इस्राईल की सारी जमा'अत खड़ी रही।
And the king turned about his face, and blessed all the convocation of Israel, —while, all the convocation of Israel, was standing;
4 तब उसने कहा, ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल का ख़ुदा मुबारक हो जिस ने अपने मुँह से मेरे बाप दाऊद से कलाम किया “और उसे अपने हाथों से यह कहकर पूरा किया।”
and he said, Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, who spake with his mouth, unto David my father, -and, with his hand, hath fulfilled, saying:
5 कि जिस दिन मै अपनी क़ौम को मुल्के मिस्र से निकाल लाया तब से मै ने इस्राईल के सब क़बीलों में से न तो किसी शहर को चुना ताकि उसमे घर बनाया जाए और वहाँ मेरा नाम हो और न किसी आदमी को चुना ताकि वह मेरी क़ौम इस्राईल का पेशवा हो।
From the day I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I made choice of no city, out of all the tribes of Israel, for building a house, where my Name might be, —neither made I choice of any man, to be chief ruler over my people Israel:
6 लेकिन मैंने येरूशलेम को चुना कि वहाँ मेरा नाम हों और दाऊद को चुना ताकि वह मेरी क़ौम इस्राईल पर हाकिम हों।
nevertheless I have made choice of Jerusalem, that my Name might be there, —and I have made choice of David, that he might be over my people Israel.
7 और मेरे बाप दाऊद के दिल में था की ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा के नाम के लिए एक घर बनाए।
And so it came to pass, that it was near the heart of David my father, —to build a house, to the Name of Yahweh, God of Israel.
8 लेकिन ख़ुदावन्द ने मेरे बाप दाऊद से कहा, “चूँकि मेरे नाम के लिए एक घर बनाने का ख़्याल तेरे दिल में था इसलिए तूने अच्छा किया कि अपने दिल में ऐसा ठाना।”
Then said Yahweh unto David my father, Because it was near thy heart to build a house for my Name, thou didst well that it was near thy heart:
9 तू भी तो इस घर को न बनाना बल्कि तेरा बेटा जो तेरे सुल्ब से निकलेगा वही मेरे नाम के लिए घर बनाएगा।
Only, thou thyself, must not build the house, —but, thine own son, that proceedeth out of thy loins—he, shall build the house for my Name.
10 और खुदवन्द ने अपनी वह बात जो उसने कही थी पूरी की क्यूँकि मैं अपने बाप दाऊद की जगह उठा हूँ और जैसा ख़ुदावन्द ने वा'दा किया था मैं इस्राईल के तख़्त पर बैठा हूँ और मैंने ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा के नाम के लिए उस घर को बनाया है।
So then Yahweh hath established his word, which he spake, —and I have been raised up instead of David my father, and have taken my seat upon the throne of Israel, as spake Yahweh, and have built the house to the Name of Yahweh, God of Israel;
11 और वही मैंने वह सन्दूक़ रखा है जिस में ख़ुदावन्द का वह 'अहद है जो उसने बनी इस्राईल से किया।
and have put there, the ark, —wherein is the covenant of Yahweh, —which he solemnised with the sons of Israel.
12 और सुलेमान ने इस्राईल की सारी जमा'अत के आमने सामने ख़ुदावन्द के मज़बह के आगे खड़े होकर अपने हाथ फैलाए।
Then stood he before the altar of Yahweh, in the presence of all the convocation of Israel, —and spread forth his hands;
13 क्यूँकि सुलेमान ने पाँच हाथ लम्बा और पाँच हाथ चौड़ा और तीन हाथ ऊँचा पीतल का एक मिम्बर बना कर सहन के नीचें में उसे रखा था, उसी पर वह खड़ा था, तब उसने इस्राईल की सारी जमा'अत के आमने सामने घुटने टेके और आसमान की तरफ़ अपने हाथ फैलाए
for Solomon had made a platform of bronze, and had set it in the midst of the enclosure, five cubits, the length thereof, and, five cubits, the breadth thereof, and, three cubits, the height thereof, -and he stood thereon, and knelt upon his knees, in the presence of all the convocation of Israel, and spread forth his hands, heavenward;
14 और कहने लगा ऐ ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा तेरी तरह न तो आसमान में न ज़मीन पर कोंई ख़ुदा है। तू अपने उन बन्दों के लिए जो तेरे सामने अपने सारे दिल से चलते है 'अहद और रहमत को निगाह रखता है।
and said, O Yahweh! God of Israel, Not like unto thee, is there a god, in the heavens, or throughout the earth, —who keepest Covenant and Lovingkindness for thy servants who are walking before thee with all their heart:
15 तूने अपने बन्दे मेरे बाप दाऊद के हक़ में वह बात क़ाईम रखी जिसका तूने उससे वा'दा किया था, तूने अपने मुँह से फ़रमाया उसे अपने हाथ से पूरा किया जैसा आज के दिन है।
who hast kept, for thy servant David my father, that which thou didst promise him, —in that thou didst promise with thy mouth, and, with thy hand, hast fulfilled, as [it is] this day.
16 अब ऐ ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा अपने बन्दा मेरे बाप दाऊद के साथ उस क़ौल को भी पूरा कर जो तूने उस से किया था कि तेरे हाथ मेरे सामने इस्राईल के तख़्त पर बैठने के लिए आदमी की कमी न होगी बशर्ते कि तेरी औलाद जैसे तू मेरे सामने चलता रहा वैसे ही मेरी शरी'अत पर अमल करने के लिए अपनी रास्ते की एहतियात रखें।
Now, therefore, O Yahweh—God of Israel, keep thou, for thy servant David my father, that which thou didst promise him, saying, There shall not be cut off to thee a man, from before me, to sit upon the throne of Israel, if only, thy sons take heed to their way, to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
17 और अब ऐ ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा जो क़ौल तूने अपने बन्दा दाऊद से किया था वह सच्चा साबित किया जाए।
Now, therefore, O Yahweh, God of Israel, -verified be thy promise, which thou didst make unto thy servant David.
18 लेकिन क्या ख़ुदा फ़िलहक़ीक़त आदमियों के साथ ज़मीन पर सुकूनत करेगा? देख आसमान बल्कि आसमानों के आसमान में भी तू रुक नहीं सकता तू यह घर तो कुछ भी नहीं जिसे मैंने बनाया!
But, in very deed, will God dwell with man on the earth? Lo! the heavens, even the leaven of heavens, cannot contain thee, how much less this house which I have built!
19 तो भी ऐ ख़ुदावन्द मेरे ख़ुदा अपने बन्दे की दुआ और मुनाजात का लिहाज़ कर कि उस फ़रियाद दुआ को सून ले जो तेरा बन्दा तेरे सामने करता है।
Wilt thou then turn unto the prayer of thy servant and unto his supplication, O Yahweh my God, —to hearken unto the cry and unto the prayer, wherewith thy servant is praying before thee:
20 ताकि तेरी आँखे इस घर की तरफ़ यानी उसी जगह की तरफ़ जिसकी बारे में तूने फ़रमाया कि मैं अपना नाम वहाँ रखूँगा दिन और रात खुली रहे ताकि तू उस दुआ को सूने जो तेरा बन्दा इस मक़ाम की तरफ़ चेहरा कर के तुझ से करेगा।
that thine eyes may be open toward this house, day and night, toward the place of which thou hast said thou wouldst set thy Name there, —to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant may pray towards this place:
21 और तू अपने बन्दा और अपनी क़ौम इस्राईल की मुनाजात को जब वह इस जगह की तरफ़ चेहरा कर के करें तो सून लेना बल्कि तू आसमान पर से जो तेरी सुकूनत गाह है सून लेना और सुनकर मु'आफ़ कर देना।
wilt thou therefore hearken unto the supplications of thy servant, and thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place, —yea wilt, thou thyself, hear, out of thine own dwelling-place, out of the heavens, and, when thou hearest, then wilt thou forgive?
22 अगर कोई शख़्स अपने पड़ोसी का गुनाह करे और उसे क़सम खिलाने के लिए उसकों हल्फ़ दिया जाए और वह आकर इस घर में तेरे मज़बह के आगे क़सम खाए।
If a man shall sin against his neighbour, and there shall be laid upon him an oath, to put him on oath, —and an oath shall come before thine altar in this house,
23 तो तू आसमान पर से सुनकर 'अमल करना और अपने बन्दों का इन्साफ़ कर के बदकार को सज़ा देना ताकि उसके 'आमाल को उसी कि सर डाले और सादिक़ को सच्चा ठहराना ताकि उसकी सदाक़त के मुताबिक़ उसे बदला दे।
then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens, and act, and judge thy servants, bringing back unto the lawless, to set his way upon his own head, —and justifying the righteous, by giving to him, according to his righteousness?
24 और अगर तेरी क़ौम इस्राईल तेरा गुनाह करने के ज़रिए'अपने दुश्मनों से शिकस्त खाए और फिर तेरी तरफ़ रुजू' लाए और तेरे नाम का इकरार कर के इस घर में तेरे सामने दुआ और मुनाजात करे।
Or, if thy people Israel be smitten before an enemy, because they have been sinning against thee, —and they turn, and confess thy Name, and pray and make supplication before thee, in this house,
25 तो तू आसमान पर से सुनकर अपनी क़ौम इस्राईल के गुनाह को बख़्श देना और उनको इस मुल्क में जो तूने उनको और उनके बाप दादा को दिया है फिर ले आना।
then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, —and bring them back unto the soil, which thou didst give to them and to their fathers?
26 और जब इस वजह से कि उन्होंने तेरा गुनाह किया हों आसमान बंद हो जाए और बारिश न हो और वह इस मक़ाम की तरफ़ चेहरा कर के दुआ करें और तेरे नाम का इक़रार करे और अपने गुनाह से बाज़ आए जब तू उनकों दुःख दे।
When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain, because they have been sinning against thee, —and they shall pray towards this place, and shall confess thy Name, from their sin, shall return, because thou hast been afflicting them,
27 तो तू आसमान पर से सुनकर अपने बन्दों और अपनी क़ौम इस्राईल का गुनाह मु'आफ़ कर देना क्यूँकि तूने उनको उस अच्छी रास्ते की ता'लिम दी जिस पर उनको चलना फ़र्ज़ है और अपने मुल्क पर जैसे तूने अपनी क़ौम के मीरास के लिए दिया है पानी न बरसाना।
then wilt, thou thyself, hear [out of] the heavens and forgive the sin of thy servants, and thy people Israel, that thou mayest direct them into the good way, wherein they should walk, —and give rain, upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people, for an inheritance?
28 अगर मुल्क में काल हो, अगर वबा हो, अगर बा'द — ए — समूम या गेरुई टिड्डी या कमला हो, अगर उनके दुश्मन उनके शहरों के मुल्क में उनकों घेर ले ग़रज़ कैसी ही बला या कैसा ही रोग हो।
When there shall be, a famine, in the land, when there shall be, a pestilence, —when there shall be, blasting or mildew, locust or caterpillar, —when their enemy shall besiege them in the land at their own gates-whatsoever plague or whatsoever sickness; -
29 तू जो दु'आऔर मुनाजात किसी एक शख़्स या तेरी सारी क़ौम इस्राईल की तरफ़ से हों जिन में से हर शख़्स अपने दुःख और रन्ज को जानकर अपने हाथ इस घर की तरफ़ फैलाए।
whatsoever prayer, whatsoever supplication, which any son of earth may have, or any of thy people Israel, —when any man shall come to know his plague, or his pain, and so he shall spread abroad his hands towards this house—
30 तू तो आसमान पर से जो तेरी रहने की जगह है सुनकर मु'आफ़ कर देना और हर शख़्स को जिसके दिल को तू जनता है उसकी सब चालचलन के मुताबिक़ बदला देना क्यूँकि सिर्फ़ तू ही बनी आदम के दिलों को जनता है
then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens, the settled place of thine abode, and forgive, and grant to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou wilt know, —for, thou thyself alone, knowest the heart of the sons of men:
31 ताकि जब तक वह उस मुल्क में जिसे तूने हमारे बाप दादा को दिया जीते रहे तेरा ख़ौफ़ मानकर तेरे रास्तों में चलें।
to the end they may revere thee, to walk in thy ways, all the days which they shall be living upon the face of the soil, —which thou gavest unto their fathers?
32 और वह परदेसी भी जो तेरी क़ौम इस्राईल में से नहीं है जब वह तेरे बुज़ुर्ग नाम और क़ौमी हाथ और तेरे बुलन्द बाज़ू की वजह से दूर मुल्क से आए और आकर इस घर की तरफ़ चेहरा कर के दुआ करें।
Moreover also, unto the stranger who is not, of thy people Israel, but he shall come in out of a far country—for the sake of thy great Name, and of thy strong hand, and of thine outstretched arm, —and so they shall come in and pray towards this house,
33 तो तूआसमान पर से जो तेरी रहने की जगह है सून लेना और जिस जिस बात के लिए वह परदेसी तुझ से फ़रियाद करे उसके मुताबिक़ करना ताकि ज़मीन की सब क़ौम तेरे नाम को पहचाने और तेरी क़ौम इस्राईल की तरह तेरा ख़ौफ़ माने और जान ले कि यह घर जिसे मैंने बनाया है तेरे नाम का कहलाता है।
then wilt, thou thyself, hear out of the heavens, out of the settled place of thine abode, and do according to all for which the stranger shall cry unto thee, —to the end that all the peoples of the earth may know thy Name, so as to revere thee like thy people Israel, and know that, thy Name, hath been given unto this house, which I have built?
34 अगर तेरे लोग चाहे किसी रास्ते से तू उनको भेजे अपने दुश्मन से लड़ने को निकले और इस शहर की तरफ़ जिसे तूने चुना है और इस घर की तरफ़ जिसे मैंने तेरे नाम के लिए बनाया है चेहरा करके तुझ से दुआ करें।
When thy people shall go forth to war against their enemies, whithersoever thou mayest send them, —and shall pray unto thee in the direction of this city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy Name,
35 तो तू आसमान पर से उनकी दुआ और मुनाजात को सुनकर उनकी हिमा’अत करना।
then wilt thou hear, out of the heavens, their prayer and their supplication, —and maintain their right.
36 अगर वह तेरा गुनाह करें क्यूँकि कोई इंसान नहीं जो गुनाह न करता हो और तू उन से नाराज़ होकर उनको दुश्मन के हवाले कर दे ऐसा कि वह दुश्मन उनको क़ैद करके दूर या नज़दीक मुल्क में ले जाए।
When they sin against thee—for there is no son of earth who sinneth not—and thou shalt be angry with them, and deliver them up before an enemy, —who shall carry them away as their captives into a land—far away or near;
37 तो भी अगर वह उस मुल्क में जहाँ क़ैद होकर पहुँचाए गए, होश में आए और रुजू' लाए और अपनी ग़ुलामी के मुल्क में तुझ से मुनाजात करें और कहें कि हम ने गुनाह किया है हम टेढ़ी चाल चले और हम ने शरारत की।
and they come back to their right mind, in the land whither they have been taken captive, —and so turn and make supplication unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done perversely, and been lawless; —
38 इसलिएअगर वह अपनी ग़ुलामी के मुल्क में जहाँ उनको ग़ुलाम कर के ले गए हों अपने सारे दिल और अपनी सारी जान से तेरी तरफ़ फिरें और अपने मुल्क की तरफ़ जो तूने उनको बाप दादा को दिया और इस शहर की तरफ़ जिसे तूने चुना हैं और इस घर की तरफ़ जो मैनें तेरे नाम के लिए बनाया है चेहरा कर के दुआ कर।
and so turn unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captive, —and shall pray in the direction of their own land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and the city which thou hast chosen, and unto the house which I have built for thy Name,
39 तो तू आसमान पर से जो तेरी रहने की जगह है उनकी दुआ और मुनाजात सुनकर उनकी हिमायत करना और अपनी क़ौम को जिस ने तेरा गुनाह किया हो मु'माफ़ कर देना।
then wilt thou hear out of the heavens—out of the settled place of thine abode—their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, —and forgive thy people, that wherein they sinned against thee?
40 इसलिए ऐ मेरे ख़ुदा मै तेरी मिन्नत करता हूँ कि उस दुआ की तरफ़ जो इस मक़ाम में की जाए तेरी ऑंखें खुली और तेरे कान लगें रहें।
Now, O my God, let—I beseech thee—thine eyes be open, and thine ears attent, —unto the prayer of this place.
41 इसलिए अब ऐ ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा तू अपनी ताक़त के सन्दूक़ के साथ उठकर अपनी आरामगाह में दाख़िल हो, ऐ ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा तेरे काहिन नजात से मुलव्वस हों और तेरे मुक़द्दस नेकी में मगन रहें।
Now, therefore, arise! O Yahweh God, unto thy rest, thou, and the ark of thy strength: Thy priests, O Yahweh God, let them be clothed with salvation, and, thy men of lovingkindness, let them rejoice in prosperity.
42 ऐ ख़ुदावन्द ख़ुदा तू अपने मम्सूह की दुआ नामंजूर न कर, तू अपने बन्दा दाऊद पर की रहमतें याद फ़रमा।
O Yahweh God! do not turn away thy face from thine Anointed One, —oh remember lovingkindness unto David thy servant.
