Arpachshad became the father of Kenan, and Kenan became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.

To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

Joktan became the father of Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 और ओफ़ीर और हवीला और यूबाब पैदा हुए; यह सब बनी युक्तान हैं।
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

Abram (that is, Abraham).

The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishmael.

The sons of Keturah, Abraham's secondary wife: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.

The sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.

Abraham became the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau, and Israel.
35 बनी 'ऐसौ: इलिफ़ज़ और र'ऊएल और य'ऊस और यालाम और क़ोरह हैं।
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
36 बनी इलिफ़ज़ तेमान और ओमर और सफ़ी और जा'ताम, क़नज़, और तिम्ना' और 'अमालीक़ हैं।
The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, Kenaz; and by Timna: Amalek.
37 बनी र'ऊएल: नहत, ज़ारह, सम्मा और मिज़्ज़ा हैं।
The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 और बनी श'ईर: लोतान और सोबल और सबा'ऊन और 'अना और दीसोन और एसर और दीसान हैं।
The sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom.
