До Тита 2
1 А ти говори, що відповідає здоровій науці.
But speak you the things which become sound doctrine:
2 Щоб старі чоловіки твере́зі були, поважні, помірковані, здорові у вірі, у любові, у терпеливості.
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in love, (agape) in patience.
3 Щоб старі жінки́ в своїм стані так само були, як належить святим, — не обмо́вниці, не відда́ні п'янству, навчали добра,
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becomes holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 щоб навчали жіно́к молодих любити своїх чоловіків, любити дітей,
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 щоб були помірковані, чисті, господа́рні, добрі, слухня́ні своїм чоловікам, щоб не зневажалося Боже Слово.
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word (logos) of God be not blasphemed.
6 Так само благай юнакі́в, щоб були помірковані.
Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
7 У всім сам себе подавай за зразка добрих діл, у навча́нні непорушеність, повагу,
In all things showing yourself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing incorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
8 слово здорове, неосу́дливе, щоб противник був засоромлений, не мавши нічого лихого казати про нас.
Sound speech, (logos) that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
9 Раби щоб корилися панам своїм, щоб догоджали, не пере́чили,
Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
10 не крали, але виявляли всяку добру вірність, щоб у всьому вони прикрашали науку Спасителя нашого Бога.
Not embezzling, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 Бо з'явилася Божа благода́ть, що спасає всіх людей,
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
12 і навчає нас, щоб ми, відцуравшись безбожности та світських пожадли́востей, жили́ помірковано та праведно, і побожно в тепе́рішнім віці, (aiōn g165)
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (aiōn g165)
13 і чекали блаженної надії та з'явлення слави великого Бога й Спаса нашого Христа Ісуса,
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 що Само́го Себе дав за нас, щоб нас визволити від усякого беззако́нства та очи́стити Собі людей ви́браних, у добрих ділах запопа́дливих.
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself an exclusive people, zealous of good works.
15 Оце говори та нагадуй, та з усяким нака́зом карта́й. Хай тобою ніхто не погорду́є!
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you.
