До римлян 10
1 Браття, бажа́ння мого серця й молитва до Бога за Ізраїля на спасі́ння.
Brethren, the desire of my heart and my prayer to God for them is, that they may be saved.
2 Бо я свідчу їм, що вони мають ре́вність про Бога, але не за розумом.
For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3 Вони бо, не розуміючи праведности Божої, і силкуючись поставити власну праведність, не покорились праведності Божій.
For being ignorant of the righteousness which is of God, and endeavoring to establish a righteousness of their own, they have not submitted themselves to the righteousness which is of God.
4 Бо кінець Зако́ну — Христос на праведність кожному, хто вірує.
For Christ is the end of the Law, so that every one that believeth may obtain righteousness.
5 Мойсей бо пише про праведність, що від Закону, що „люди́на, яка його виконує, буде ним жити“.
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the Law: “The man that hath done these things shall live by them.”
6 А про праведність, що від віри, говорить так: „Не кажи в своїм серці: Хто вийде на небо?“цебто зве́сти додолу Христа,
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh thus: Say not in thy heart, “Who shall ascend into heaven?” that is, to bring Christ down.
Or, “Who shall descend into the abyss?” that is, to bring up Christ from the dead. (Abyssos g12)
8 Але що каже ще? „Бли́зько тебе слово, — в устах твоїх і в серці твоїм“, цебто слово віри, що його проповідуємо.
But what saith it? “The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart;” that is, the word concerning faith, which we preach;
9 Бо коли ти уста́ми своїми визнаватимеш Ісуса за Господа, і будеш вірувати в своїм серці, що Бог воскресив Його з мертвих, то спасешся,
for if thou shalt acknowledge with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 бо серцем віруємо для праведности, а устами іспові́дуємо для спасі́ння.
For with the heart man believeth so as to obtain righteousness, and with the mouth professeth so as to obtain salvation.
11 Каже бо Писа́ння: „Кожен, хто вірує в Нього, не буде засоро́млений“.
For the Scripture saith, “Whoever believeth in him shall not be put to shame.”
12 Бо нема різниці поміж юдеєм та ге́лленом, бо той же Госпо́дь є Господом усіх, багатий для всіх, хто кличе Його.
For there is no difference between Jew and Greek; for one and the same is Lord over all, rich to all that call upon him.
13 Бо „кожен, хто покличе Господнє Ім'я, буде спасе́ний“.
For “every one who calleth upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
14 Але як покличуть Того, в Кого не ввірували? А як увірують у Того, що про Нього не чули? А як почують без проповідника?
How then shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him, of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 І як будуть проповідувати, коли не будуть по́слані? Як написано: „Які гарні ноги благовісників миру, благовісників добра́“.
and how shall men preach, unless they are sent forth? as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
16 Але не всі послухались Єва́нгелії. Бо Ісая каже: „Господи, хто повірив тому, що почув був від нас?“
But they did not all hearken to the glad tidings. For Isaiah saith, “Lord, who hath believed what he hath heard from us?”
17 Тож віра від слу́хання, а слу́хання через Слово Христо́ве.
Faith then cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 Та кажу́: Чи не чули вони? Отож: „По всій землі їхній голос пішов, і їхні слова́ в кінці світу!“
But I say, Did they not hear? Yes truly, “Their voice went forth into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
19 Але кажу́: Чи Ізраїль не знав? Перший Мойсей говорить: „Я викличу заздрість у вас ненаро́дом, — роздражню́ вас нерозумним народом“.
But I say, Hath not Israel had knowledge? First, Moses saith, “I will move you to jealousy by that which is no nation, I will excite you to indignation by a foolish people.”
20 А Ісая сміли́во говорить: „Знайшли Мене ті, хто Мене не шукав, відкрився Я тим, хто не питався про Мене!“
But Isaiah is very bold, and saith, “I was found by those who sought me not, I became known to those who inquired not for me.”
21 А про Ізраїля каже: „Я руки Свої цілий день простягав до людей неслухня́них і суперечних!“
But concerning Israel he saith, “All the day long I have stretched out my hands to a disobedient and rebellious people.”
