Псалми 97
1 Царю́є Господь: хай радіє земля, нехай веселя́ться числе́нні острови́!
The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad.
2 Хмара та мо́рок круг Нього, справедливість та право — підстава престолу Його.
Clouds and darkness surround him: righteousness and judgment [are] the habitation of his throne.
3 Огонь іде перед лицем Його́, і ворогів Його па́лить навко́ло.
A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.
4 Освітили вселе́нну Його блискави́ці, — те бачить земля та тремти́ть!
His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
5 Гори, як віск, розтопи́лися перед обличчям Господнім, перед обличчям Господа всієї землі.
The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the LORD of the whole earth.
6 Небо розповідає про правду Його, й бачать славу Його всі наро́ди.
The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
7 Нехай посоро́млені будуть усі, хто і́долам служить, хто божка́ми вихва́люється! Додо́лу впадіть перед Ним, усі бо́ги!
Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols; worship him, all [ye] gods.
8 Почув і звесели́вся Сіон, і поті́шились Юдині до́чки через Твої при́суди, Господи,
Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.
9 бо над усією землею Найви́щий Ти, Господи, над бога́ми всіма́ Ти піднесе́ний сильно!
For thou, LORD, [art] high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.
10 Хто Господа любить, — нена́видьте зло! Хто рятує душі святих Своїх, Той ви́зволить їх із руки несправедли́вих.
Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Світло сі́ється для справедливого, а для простосердих — розра́да.
Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Радійте, праведні, Господом, і славте Його святу па́м'ять!
Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
