Псалми 94
1 Бог помсти — Господь, Бог помсти з'явився, —
O GOD of avenging—Yahweh, GOD of avenging, shine forth:
2 піднеси́ся, о Су́дде землі, бундю́чним запла́ту віддай!
Lift up thyself, O judge of the earth, Render a recompense unto the proud.
3 Аж доки безбожні, о Господи, аж доки безбожні втіша́тися будуть?
How long shall the lawless, O Yahweh, How long shall the lawless exult?
4 Доки бу́дуть верзти́, говорити бундю́чно, доки будуть пиша́тись злочинці?
They pour forth [words], they speak arrogantly, All the workers of iniquity, do boast:
5 Вони тиснуть наро́д Твій, о Господи, а спадок Твій вони му́чать.
Thy people, O Yahweh, they will crush, And, thine inheritance, tread down;
6 Вдову́ та чужи́нця вбивають вони, і мордують сирі́т
The widow and sojourner, they will slay, And, the fatherless, murder.
7 та й говорять: „Не бачить Господь, і не завва́жить Бог Яковів“.
Yet have they said—Yah, doth not see, The God of Jacob, doth not understand.
8 Зрозумійте це ви, нерозумні в наро́ді, а ви, убогі на розум, коли набере́теся глу́зду?
Understand, ye brutish among the people, And, ye dullards, when will ye show discretion?
9 Хіба Той, що ухо щепи́в, — чи Він не почує? Хіба Той, що око створи́в, — чи Він не побачить?
He that planteth the ear, shall he not hear? Or, that fashioneth the eye, shall he not have power to see?
10 Хіба Той, що карає наро́ди, — чи Він не скарта́є, Він, що навчає люди́ну знання́?
He that correcteth nations, shall he not reprove? He that teacheth man knowledge!
11 Господь знає всі лю́дські думки́, що марно́та вони!
Yahweh, knoweth the plans of men, That, they, are a breath!
12 Блаженний той муж, що його Ти караєш, о Господи, і з Зако́ну Свого навчаєш його́,
How happy the man whom thou correctest, O Yah! And whom, out of thy law, thou instructest!
13 щоб його заспоко́їти від лиходе́ння, аж поки не ви́копана буде яма безбожному,
That thou mayest give him rest from the days of misfortune, Until there be digged—for the lawless one—a pit.
14 бо Господь не опустить наро́ду Свого, а спа́дку Свого не поли́шить,
For Yahweh, will not abandon, his people, And, his inheritance, will he not forsake;
15 бо до праведности суд пове́рнеться, а за ним — всі невинного серця!
For, unto righteousness, shall the judicial sentence return, Then shall follow it—all the upright in heart.
16 Хто встане зо мною навпроти злости́вих, хто встане зо мною навпроти злочинців?
Who will rise up for me, against the evil-doers? Who will make a stand for me, against the workers of iniquity?
17 Коли б не Господь мені в поміч, то душа моя тро́хи була́ б не лягла́ в царство смерти!
If, Yahweh, had not been a help to me, Soon had sunk into silence—my soul!
18 Коли я кажу: „Похитнулась нога моя“, то, Господи, милість Твоя підпира́є мене!
If I say, My foot, hath slipped, Thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, supporteth me.
19 Коли мої думки́ болючі в нутрі́ моїм мно́жаться, то розради Твої веселять мою душу!
In the multitude of my cares within me, Thy consolations, delight my soul.
20 Чи престол беззако́ния з Тобою з'єдна́ється, той, що гріх учиняє над право?
Shall the throne that inflicteth ruin, have fellowship with thee, That frameth oppression, by statute?
21 Збираються проти душі справедли́вого, і чисту кров винува́тять.
They make an attack on the life of the righteous one, —And, innocent blood, they condemn.
22 І Господь став для мене тверди́нею, і мій Бог став за скелю приту́лку мого,
But, Yahweh, hath become for me a high tower, And my God, my rock of refuge.
23 і Він їхню силу на них повернув, і злом їхнім їх нищить, їх нищить Господь, Бог наш!
Thus hath he brought back on them their iniquity, And, by their own wickedness, will he destroy them, Destroy them, will Yahweh our God.
