Псалми 85
1 Для дириґента хору. Синів Коре́євих. Псалом. Ти вподо́бав Собі Свою землю, о Го́споди, долю Якову Ти поверну́в,
“For the leader of the music. A psalm of the sons of Korah.” O LORD! thou hast been favorable to thy land; Thou hast brought back the captives of Jacob;
2 Ти провину наро́ду Свого прости́в, увесь гріх їхній покри́в! (Се́ла)
Thou didst forgive the iniquity of thy people, And cover all their sins! (Pause)
3 Ти гнів Свій увесь занеха́в, Ти повстри́мав Свій гнів від палю́чої лю́тости!
Thou didst take away all thy displeasure, And abate the fierceness of thy wrath.
4 Поверни нас до Себе, о Боже нашого спасі́ння, а Свій гнів проти нас поторо́щ!
Restore us, O God of our salvation! And let thine anger towards us cease!
5 Чи навіки Ти гні́ватись будеш на нас, і протя́гнеш Свій гнів з роду в рід?
Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt thou continue thy wrath from generation to generation?
6 Отож, Ти ожи́виш нас зно́ву, — і буде радіти наро́д Твій Тобою!
Wilt thou not revive us again, That thy people may rejoice in thee?
7 Покажи нам, о Господи, милість Свою, і подай нам спасі́ння Своє,
Show us thy compassion, O LORD! And grant us thy salvation!
8 нехай я почую, що каже Бог, Господь, бо говорить Він „Мир!“наро́дові Своєму й Своїм святим, і нехай до безу́мства вони не верта́ються!
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: Truly he will speak peace to his people, and to his servants; Only let them not turn again to folly!
9 Справді, спасі́ння Його близьке́ тим, хто боїться Його, щоб слава Його́ була в нашій землі.
Yea, his salvation is near to those who fear him, That glory may dwell in our land.
10 Милість та правда спіткаються, справедливість та мир поцілуються,
Mercy and truth shall meet together, Righteousness and peace shall kiss each other;
11 правда з землі вироста́є, а справедливість із небе́с визира́є.
Truth shall spring out of the earth; Righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12 І Господь дасть добро, а земля наша дасть урожай свій.
Yea, Jehovah will give prosperity, And our land shall yield her increase.
13 Справедливість ходитиме перед обличчям Його, і кро́ки свої на дорогу поставить.
Righteousness shall go before him, And set us in the way of his steps.
