Псалми 53

1 Для дириґента хору. На „Махалат“. Навча́льний псало́м. Давидів. Безумний говорить у серці своїм: „Нема Бога“! Зіпсу́лись вони, і несправедливість обри́дливу чинять, нема доброчи́нця!

For the Leader; upon Mahalath. Maschil of David. The fool hath said in his heart: 'There is no God'; they have dealt corruptly, and have done abominable iniquity; there is none that doeth good.

2 Бог зо́рить із неба на лю́дських синів, щоб поба́чити, чи є там розумний, що Бога шукає.

God looked forth from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any man of understanding, that did seek after God.

3 Усі повідступа́ли, разом стали оги́дними, нема доброчи́нця, нема ні одно́го!

Every one of them is unclean, they are together become impure; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 Чи ж не розуміють оті, хто беззако́ння вчиняє, що мій люд поїдають? Вони спожива́ють хліб Божий, та не кличуть Його!

'Shall not the workers of iniquity know it, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and call not upon God?'

5 Тоді настраши́лися стра́хом вони, хоч страху не було, бо розсипав Бог кості того, хто тебе оточив був, — ти їх посоро́мив, бо ними пого́рдував Бог!

There are they in great fear, where no fear was; for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee; Thou hast put them to shame, because God hath rejected them.

6 Аби то Він дав із Сіону спасі́ння Ізраїлеві! Як долю Свого народу поверне Господь, то радітиме Яків, утіша́тися буде Ізра́їль!

Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God turneth the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
