Псалми 16
1 Золота пісня Дави́дова.
God, protect me because I go to you to keep me safe!
2 Я сказав Господе́ві: „Ти Бог мій і — добро моє тільки в Тобі!“
I said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord; all the good things that I have come from you.”
3 До святих, які на землі, що шляхе́тні вони, — до них все жада́ння моє!
Your people who live in this land are wonderful; I delight to be with them.
4 Нехай мно́жаться сму́тки для тих, хто набув собі інших богів, — я не буду прино́сить їм ли́вної жертви із крови, і їхніх іме́н не носитиму в устах своїх!
Those who choose to worship other gods will have many things that cause them to be sad. I will not join them when they make sacrifices [to their gods]; I will not even join them when they speak [MTY] the names of their gods.
5 Господь — то частина спа́дку мого та чаші моєї, Ти долю мою підпира́єш!
Yahweh, you are the one whom I have chosen, and you give me great blessings. You protect me and control what happens to me.
6 Ча́стки припали для мене в хороших місцях, і гарна для мене спа́дщина моя!
Yahweh has given me a wonderful place in which to live; I am delighted with all the things that he has given me [MET].
7 Благословляю я Господа, що радить мені, на́віть ноча́ми навчають мене мої ни́рки.
I will praise Yahweh, the one who teaches/disciplines me; even at night [he] you put in my mind what is right for me to do.
8 Уявляю я Господа перед собою постійно, бо Він по правиці моїй, — й я не буду захитаний!
I know that Yahweh is always with me. He is beside me; so nothing will (perturb me/cause me to be worried).
9 Через те моє серце радіє та дух весели́ться, — і тіло моє спочиває безпечно!
Therefore I am glad and I [MTY, DOU] rejoice; I can rest securely
10 Бо Ти не опу́стиш моєї душі до шео́лу, не попу́стиш Своєму святому побачити тлі́ння! (Sheol h7585)
because you, Yahweh, will not allow my soul/spirit to remain in the place where the dead people are; you will not allow me, your godly one, to stay there. (Sheol h7585)
11 Дорогу життя Ти покажеш мені: радість велика з Тобою, за́вжди блаженство в прави́ці Твоїй!
You will show me the road that leads to [receiving eternal] life, and you will make me joyful when I am with you. I will have pleasure forever when I am (at your right hand/seated next to you).
