Псалми 114

1 Як виходив Ізраїль з Єгипту, від наро́ду чужого дім Яковів, —

When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

2 Юда став за святиню Йому, а Ізраїль — Його панува́нням!

Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

3 Побачило море все це — і побі́гло, Йорда́н повернувся наза́д!

The sea saw it, and fled; Jordan was driven back.

4 Го́ри скака́ли, немов баранці́, а пагі́рки — немов ті ягня́та!

The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like young sheep.

5 Що́ тобі, море, що ти втікаєш? Йорда́не, що ти поверну́вся наза́д?

What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? thou Jordan, that thou turnest back?

6 Чого ска́чете, гори, немов баранці́, а па́гірки — мов ті ягня́та?

Ye mountains, that ye skip like rams; ye little hills, like young sheep?

7 Тремти, зе́мле, перед Господнім лицем, перед лицем Бога Якова,

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 що скелю обе́ртає в озеро водне, а кремінь — на водне джере́ло!

Which turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
