Псалми 112

1 Алілу́я!

Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.

2 Буде си́льним насі́ння його на землі, буде поблагосло́влений рід безневи́нних!

Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].

3 Багатство й достаток у домі його, а правда його пробува́є навіки!

Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.

4 Світло схо́дить у те́мряві для справедливих, — Він ласка́вий, і милости́вий, і праведний!

Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.

5 Добрий муж милости́вий та позичає, уде́ржує справи свої справедливістю,

Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.

6 і наві́ки він не захита́ється, — у вічній па́м'яті праведний бу́де!

Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].

7 Не боїться він зві́стки лихої, його серце міцне́, наді́ю складає на Господа!

They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.

8 Умі́цнене серце його не боїться, бо він бачить нещастя поміж ворога́ми своїми!

They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.

9 Він щедро убогим дає, його правда наві́ки стоїть, його ріг підіймається в славі!

They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.

10 Це бачить безбожний та гні́вається, скрего́че зубами своїми та та́не. Бажа́ння безбожних загине!

Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
