Псалми 101

1 Псалом Давидів.

“A psalm of David.” I will sing of mercy and justice; To thee, O LORD! will I sing!

2 придивля́тимуся до доро́ги невинного. Коли при́йдеш до мене? Я буду ходити в неви́нності серця свого́ серед дому мого́,

I will have regard to the way of uprightness: When thou shalt come to me, I will walk within my house with an upright heart.

3 не поставлю я перед очи́ма своїми речі нікче́мної, діло відступства нена́виджу, — не приляже до мене воно,

I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes; I hate the work of evil-doers; It shall not cleave to me.

4 перекі́рливе серце відхо́дить від мене, лихого не знаю!

The perverse in heart shall be far from me; I will not know a wicked person.

5 Хто таємно обчо́рнюв бли́жнього свого, — я зни́щу того́, високоо́кого й гордосе́рдого, — його не стерплю́!

Whoso slandereth his neighbor in secret, him will I cut off; Him that hath a haughty look and a proud heart I will not endure.

6 Мої очі — на вірних землі, щоб сиділи зо мною. Хто хо́дить дорогою невинного, той буде служити мені.

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; He that walketh in the way of uprightness shall serve me.

7 Обма́нець не сяде в сере́дині дому мого, і міцно не стане навпроти очей моїх неправдомо́вець!

He who practiseth deceit shall not dwell in my house; He who telleth lies shall not remain in my sight.

8 Всіх безбожних землі буду ни́щити кожного ра́нку, щоб з міста Господнього ви́губити всіх злочинців!

Every morning will I destroy the wicked of the land, That I may cut off all evil-doers from the city of the LORD.
