Ісус Навин 18
1 І була зі́брана вся громада Ізраїлевих синів до Шіло́, і вони помістили там скинію заповіту, а перед ними був здобутий край.
The land had been subdued and lay before them. The Israelites gathered together at Shiloh and set up the Tent of Meeting.
2 І позоставалося серед Ізраїлевих синів сім племе́н, що не поділили ще спа́дку свого.
However, seven of the Israelite tribes had not received their land allocations.
3 І сказав Ісус до Ізраїлевих синів: „Аж доки ви будете лінува́тися піти посісти той край, що дав вам Госпо́дь, Бог ваших батьків?
So Joshua asked the Israelites, “How long will you go on being reluctant to go and take possession of the land that the Lord gave your forefathers?
4 Дайте від себе по три му́жі на пле́м'я, і я пошлю їх. І вони встануть, і будуть ходити по кра́ю, і опишуть його за їхнім спа́дком, та й при́йдуть до мене.
Choose three men from each tribe and I will send them out to explore the land. Then they can write a description regarding the land allocations and bring it to me.
5 І вони поділять його собі на сім частин. Юда стане на своїй границі з пі́вдня, а Йо́сипів дім стане на своїй границі з пі́вночі.
They are to divide the land into seven parts, up to the boundary of Judah's land in the south and Joseph's land in the north.
6 А ви опишете той край, сім частин, і принесе́те о́писа мені сюди, а я кину вам жеребка́ тут перед лицем Господа, Бога нашого.
Once you have written the description the land, dividing it in seven parts, you will bring it to me here and I will cast lots for you in the presence of the Lord our God.
7 А Левитам нема частки поміж вами, бо священноді́яння Господнє — спа́дщина його. А Ґад, і Руви́м, та половина Манасі́їного пле́мени взяли́ свій спа́док по той бік Йорда́ну на схід, що дав їм Мойсей, раб Господній“.
But the Levites do not receive a share, for their role as priests of the Lord is their allocation. Also, Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have already received their allocation that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave them on the east side of the Jordan.”
8 І встали ті му́жі й пішли. А Ісус наказав тим, що пішли опи́сувати край, говорячи: „Ідіть і походіть по кра́ю, і опишіть його, та й вертайтеся до ме́не. А я кину вам жеребка́ тут перед Господнім лицем у Шіло́“.
As the men started out on their way to explore the land. Joshua told them, “Go throughout the land and write a description of what you find. Then return to me and I will cast lots for you in the presence of the Lord here in Shiloh.”
9 І пішли ті му́жі, і перейшли по кра́ю, та й описали його за міста́ми на сім частин у книжці. І прийшли вони до Ісуса до табо́ру в Шіло́.
So the men went and explored the land and wrote down on a scroll a description of the seven parts, recording the towns in each part. Then they returned to Joshua at the camp in Shiloh
10 І кинув їм Ісус жеребка́ в Шіло́ перед Господнім лицем. І поділив там Ісус край для Ізраїлевих синів за їхніми по́ділами.
where Joshua cast lots for them in the presence of the Lord. There Joshua divided the land up and allotted the different parts to the remaining Israelite tribes.
11 І вийшов жеребо́к для пле́мени Веніями́нових синів за їхніми ро́дами, і вийшла границя їхнього жеребка між синами Юдиними та між синами Йо́сиповими.
The first lot cast went to the tribe of Benjamin, by families. The land allotted lay between that of the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Joseph.
12 І була́ їм границя на півні́чну сто́рону від Йорда́ну. І підіймається та границя до кра́ю Єрихо́ну з пі́вночі, і підіймається на го́ру на за́хід, і закінчується при пустині Бет-Евен.
Their boundary began at the Jordan, and went north of the slope of Jericho, west through the hill country, coming out at the wilderness of Beth-aven.
13 А звідти перехо́дить та границя до Лузу, до кра́ю Лузу на пі́вдень, це — Бет-Ел. І схо́дить та границя до Атрот-Аддару на го́ру, що з пі́вдня до до́лішнього Бет-Хорону.
Then the boundary went south to Luz (or Bethel) and on down to Ataroth-addar on the mountain south of Lower Beth-horon.
14 І тягнеться та границя, і поверта́ється на за́хідній бік, на пі́вдень від гори, що навпроти Бет-Хорону на пі́вдень, і закінчується при Кір'ят-Баалі, це — Кір'ят-Єарім, місті Юдиних синів. Це за́хідня сторона́.
Here the boundary turned south along the western side of the mountain facing Beth-horon, finishing at Kiriath-baal (or Kiriath-jearim), a town of the tribe of Judah. This was the western boundary.
15 А півде́нна сторона — від кінця Кір'ят-Єаріму. І виходить та границя на за́хід, і виходить до джерела́ Ме-Нефтоаху.
The southern boundary began at the edge of Kiriath-jearim. It ran to the spring at Nephtoah,
16 І сходить та границя до кінця́ гори, що навпроти Ґе-Бен-Гіннома, що в долині Рефаїм на пі́вніч. І сходить Ґе-Гінном побіч євусе́янина на пі́вдень, і сходить до Ен-Роґелу,
and then down to the foot of the mountain that faces the valley of Ben-hinnom, at the north end of the valley of Rephaim. Then it went down the valley of Hinnom, along the slope near the Jebusite town, south towards En-rogel.
17 і тягнеться вона з пі́вночі, і виходить до Ен-Шемешу, і виходить до Ґелілоту, що навпроти Маале-Адуммім. І схо́дить вона до Евен-Боган-Бен-Реувену.
From there it headed north to En-shemesh and on to Geliloth, opposite the heights of Adummim, and then on down to the Stone of Bohan (Reuben's son).
18 І переходить побіч навпроти Арави на пі́вніч, та й схо́дить до Арави.
Then it went along the ridge opposite the Jordan Valley to the north, and then down into the Jordan Valley itself.
19 І перехо́дить та границя побіч Бет-Хоґли на пі́вніч, і закінчується границя при зато́ці Солоного моря на пі́вніч, до кінця Йорда́ну з пі́вдня. Це границя півде́нна.
From there it ran along the north slope of Beth-hoglah, ending at the north bay of the Salt Sea, the southern end of the Jordan. This was the southern boundary.
20 А Йорда́н грани́чить його зо схі́дньої сторони. Це спа́док Веніями́нових синів за границями його навко́ло, за ро́дами його.
The eastern boundary was the Jordan. These were the boundaries around the land of the tribe of Benjamin, by families.
21 І були міста для пле́мени Веніями́нових синів за їхніми ро́дами: Єрихон, і Бет-Хоґла, і Емек-Кеціц,
These were the towns of the tribe of Benjamin, according to families: Jericho, Beth-hoglah, Emek-keziz,
22 і Бет-Гаарава, і Цемараїм, і Бет-Ел,
Beth-arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,
23 і Аввім, і Пара, і Офра,
Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,
24 і Кефар-Гааммоні, і Офні, і Ґева, — дванадцять міст та їхні оселі.
Kephar-ammoni, Ophni, and Geba—twelve towns with their associated villages.
25 Ґів'он, і Рама, і Беерот,
In addition: Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
26 і Міцпе, і Кефіра, і Моца,
Mizpah, Kephirah, Mozah,
27 і Рекем, і їрпеїл, і Пар'ала,
Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,
28 і Цела, Елеф, і Євусі, воно Єрусалим, Ґів'ат, Кір'ят- Єарім, — чотирна́дцять міст та їхні оселі. Це спа́док Веніями́нових синів за їхніми ро́дами.
Zela, Haeleph, Jebus (or Jerusalem), Gibeah, and Kiriath-jearim—fourteen towns with their associated villages. This was the land allotted to the tribe of Benjamin, by families.
