Ісус Навин 15
1 І був жеребо́к для пле́мени Юдиних синів за їхніми ро́дами: до едомської границі пустиня Цін, на пі́вдень від теманського кра́ю.
This was the land allotted to the tribe of Judah, by families: it stretched south to the border of Edom, to the wilderness of Zin in the far south.
2 І була їм південна границя від кінця Солоного моря, від затоки, зве́рненої на пі́вдень.
Their boundary began at the end of the Salt Sea—the bay that faces south—
3 І йде вона на пі́вдень від Маале-Акраббіму, і перехо́дить до Ціну, і підіймається з пі́вдня, від Кадеш-Барнеа й перехо́дить до Хецрону, і підіймається до Аддару й обертається до Кар до Каркаї.
and then went south of Scorpion Pass through the wilderness of Zin, then heading south from Kadesh-barnea to Hezron. From there it went up to Addar and then turned towards Karka,
4 І перехо́дить вона до Адмону, і йде до єгипетського потоку, і границя закі́нчується на за́хід. Це буде для вас південна границя.
passing through Azmon and out to the Wadi of Egypt, ending at the sea. This was their southern border.
5 А границя на схід — Солоне море аж до кінця Йорда́ну. А границя у бік пі́вночі: від морської затоки з кінця Йорда́ну,
The eastern border of Judah was the Salt Sea, up to where the Jordan River ends. The northern boundary ran from the northern bay of the sea where the Jordan ends
6 і підіймається границя до Бет-Хоґли й перехо́дить на пі́вніч від Бет-Гаарови; і підіймається та границя до Евен-Боган-Бен-Рувена.
up to the border of Beth-hoglath, and then north of Beth-arabah to the Stone of Bohan (Reuben's son).
7 І підіймається та границя від ахорської долини, а на пі́вночі зверта́ється до Ґілґалу, що навпроти Маале-Адумміму, що на південь від потоку. І переходить та границя до Ме-Ен-Шемешу, і закінчується при Ен-Роґелі.
From there it went to the border of Debir through the valley of Achor, and turned north towards Gilgal, opposite the heights of Adummim to the south of the valley. Then the boundary continued to the waters of En-shemesh and out to En-rogel.
8 І підіймається та границя до Ґе-Бен-Гінному побіч євусеянина з пі́вдня, — це Єрусали́м. І підіймається та границя до верхі́в'я гори, що навпроти Ґе-Гінному на за́хід, що в кінці Емек-Рефаіму на пі́вніч.
The boundary then went through the valley of Ben-hinnom, along the southern slopes of the Jebusites, (that is Jerusalem), then on up to the top of the mountain overlooking the valley of Hinnom right up to the northern end of the valley of Rephaim.
9 І біжить та границя від верхі́в'я гори до джерела́ Ме-Нефтоаху, і йде до міст гори Ефро́ну; і біжить та границя до Баали, — це Кір'ят-Єарім.
From there the boundary ran from the top of the mountain to the water spring at Nephtoah and on to the towns on Mount Ephron. Then it bent towards Ballah (Kiriath-jearim).
10 І оберта́ється та границя з Баали на за́хід до гори Сеїр, і переходить до плеча́ гори Єарім з пі́вночі, — це Кесалон; і сходить до Бет-Шемешу й переходить до Тімни.
Then the boundary moved around to the west of Baalah to Mount Seir and passed along the northern slope of Mount Jearim to the town of Kesalon, down to Beth Shemesh and on to Timnah.
11 І йде та границя по край Екрону на пі́вніч, і біжить та границя до Шіккарону, і перехо́дить до гори Баали, і йде до Явнеїлу. І границя закінчується при за́ході.
The boundary then ran to the north slope of Ekron, and bent towards Shikkeron, passing Mount Baalah, out to Jabneel, and ending at the sea.
12 А за́хідня границя — до Великого моря. А границя ця — границя Юдиних синів навколо за їхніми ро́дами.
The western boundary was the coastline of the Great Sea. These were the boundaries around the tribe of Judah, by families.
13 А Калеву, синові Єфуннеєвому, він дав частку серед Юдиних синів, за Господнім нака́зом до Ісуса, Кір'ят-Арби, батька ве́летнів, воно — Хеврон.
The Lord had instructed Joshua to allocate some land in Judah's territory to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, and so he was given the town of Kiriath-arba, or Hebron. (Arba was the father of Anak.)
14 І Кале́в повиганяв звідти трьох ве́летнів: Шешая, і Ахімана, і Талмая, уро́джених ве́летнів.
Caleb drove out three family groups—Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, descendants of Anak.
15 І пішов він звідти до девірських ме́шканців, а ім'я́ Девіра давніше — Кір'ят-Сефер.
From there he went to attack the inhabitants of Debir (previously known as Kiriath-sepher).
16 І сказав Калев: „Хто поб'є Кір'ят-Сефер та здобу́де його, то дам йому дочку́ мою Ахсу за жінку“.
Caleb announced, “Whoever attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, I will give him my daughter Acsah to marry.”
17 І здобув його Отніїл, син Кеназів, брат Калевів. І він дав йому свою дочку́ Ахсу за жінку.
Othniel, son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured the town so Caleb gave him his daughter Acsah to marry.
18 І сталося, коли вона відхо́дила, то намовила його жадати по́ля від її батька. І зійшла вона з осла, а Кале́в сказав їй: „Що́ тобі?“
When she came to him, she encouraged him to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, “What do you want?”
19 І вона сказала: „Дай мені дар благослове́ння! Бо ти дав мені землю суху, то даси мені це й водні джере́ла“. І він дав їй Ґуллот горі́шній та Ґуллот до́лішній.
She replied, “Please give me a blessing. Since you have already given me land that's like the desert, please give me springs of water as well.” So he gave her both the upper and the lower springs.
20 Оце спа́док племени Юдиних синів за їхніми ро́дами.

21 І були ті міста від краю племени Юдиних синів до едомської границі на півдні: Кавцеїл, і Едер, і Яґур,

22 і Кіна, і Дімона, і Ад'ада, (questioned)

63 А євусе́ян, ме́шканців Єрусалиму, Юдини сини не могли їх вигнати, — і осів Євусе́янин і́з Юдиними синами в Єрусалимі, і так є аж до цього дня,
However, the tribe of Judah could not drive out the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so the Jebusites live among the tribe of Judah in Jerusalem to this very day.
