Від Івана 1
1 На початку було Слово, а Слово в Бога було́, і Бог було Слово.
Originally, was, the Word, and, the Word, was, with God; and, the Word, was, God.
2 Воно в Бога було на поча́тку.
The same, was originally, with God.
3 Усе через Нього повста́ло, і ніщо, що повста́ло, не повстало без Ньо́го.
All things, through him, came into existence, and, without him, came into existence, not even one thing: that which hath come into existence,
4 І життя було в Нім, а життя було Світлом людей.
in him, was, life, and, the life, was, the light of men.—
5 А Світло у те́мряві світить, і те́мрява не обгорну́ла його.
And, the light, in the darkness, shineth; and, the darkness, thereof, laid not hold.
6 Був один чоловік, що від Бога був по́сланий, — йому йме́ння Іван.
There arose a man, sent from God, whose name was, John:
7 Він прийшов на свідо́цтво, щоб засві́дчити про Світло, щоб повірили всі через нього.
The same, came, for a witness, That he might bear witness, concerning the light, that, all, might believe, through him.
8 Він тим Світлом не був, але сві́дчити мав він про Світло.
He, was not the light, —but, that he might bear witness concerning the light,
9 Світлом правдивим був Той, Хто просвічує кожну люди́ну, що прихо́дить на світ.
It, was—The real light that enlighteneth every man—Coming into the world.
10 Воно в світі було, і світ через Нього повстав, але світ не пізнав Його.
In the world, he was, and, the world, through him, came into existence, and, the world, knew him not.
11 До свого Воно прибуло́, — та свої відцура́лись Його.
Into his own possessions, he came, and, his own people, received him not home.
12 А всім, що Його прийняли́, їм вла́ду дало́ дітьми́ Божими стати, тим, що вірять у Йме́ння Його,
But, as many as did receive him, he gave, unto them, authority, children of God, to become, —unto them who were believing on his name:
13 що не з крови, ані з пожадли́вости тіла, ані з пожадливости мужа, але народились від Бога.
Who—not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but—of God, were born.
14 І Слово сталося тілом, і перебува́ло між нами, повне благодаті та правди, і ми бачили славу Його, славу як Одноро́дженого від Отця.
And, the Word, became, flesh, and pitched his tent among us, and we gazed upon his glory, —a glory, as an Only-begotten from his Father. Full of favour and truth.
15 Іван сві́дчить про Нього, і кликав, говорячи: „Це був Той, що про Нього казав я: Той, Хто прийде за мною, існував передо мною, бо був перше, ніж я“.
(John beareth witness concerning him, and hath cried aloud, saying—the same, was he that said—He who, after me, was coming, before me, hath advanced; because, my Chief, was he.)
16 А з Його повноти́ ми оде́ржали всі, — а то благода́ть на благода́ть.
Because, out of his fulness, we all, received, even favour over against favour.
17 Зако́н бо через Мойсея був да́ний, а благода́ть та правда з'явилися через Ісуса Христа.
Because, the law, through Moses, was given, favour and truth, through Jesus Christ, came into existence.
18 Ніхто Бога ніко́ли не бачив, — Одноро́джений Син, що в лоні Отця, Той Сам виявив був.
No one, hath seen, God, at any time: An Only Begotten God, The One existing within the bosom of the Father, He, hath interpreted [him].
19 А це ось свідо́цтво Іванове, як юдеї послали були з Єрусалиму священиків та Левитів, щоб спитали його: „Хто́ ти такий?“
And, this, is the witness of John, when the Jews sent forth unto him, out of Jerusalem, priests and Levites, —that they might question him—Who art, thou?
20 І він визнав, і не зрікся, а визнав: „Я — не Христос“.
and he confessed, and did not deny, —and he confessed—I, am not, the Christ;
21 І запитали його: „А хто ж? Чи Ілля́?“І відказує: „Ні!“„Чи пророк?“І дав відповідь: „Ні!“
and they questioned him—What then? Art, thou, Elijah? and he saith—I am not; The prophet, art, thou? and he answered—No!
22 Сказали ж йому: „Хто́ ж ти такий, щоб дати відповідь тим, хто послав нас? Що́ ти кажеш про себе самого?“
So they said unto him—Who, art thou? that, an answer, we may give, unto them who sent us, —What sayest thou, concerning thyself?
23 Відказав: „Я голос того, хто кличе: В пустині рівняйте дорогу Господню“, як Іса́я пророк заповів“.
He said—I, am a Voice, of one crying aloud; —In the desert, make ye straight, the way of the Lord: according as said Isaiah the prophet.
24 Посланці ж із фарисеїв були́.
And they had been sent forth from among the Pharisees;
25 І вони запитали його та сказали йому́: „Для чого ж ти христиш, коли ти не Христос, ні Ілля, ні пророк?“
and they questioned him, and said unto him—Why, then, dost thou immerse, —if, thou, art not, the Christ, nor Elijah, nor, the Prophet?
26 Відповів їм Іван, промовляючи: „Я водою хрищу́, а між вами стоїть, що Його ви не знаєте.
John answered them, saying—I, immerse, in water. In the midst of you, standeth one, whom, ye, know not; —
27 Він Той, Хто за мною йде, Хто до мене був, Кому розв'яза́ти ремінця́ від узуття́ Його я негідний“.
after me, coming: —Of whom, I, am not worthy that I should unloose the thong of the sandal.
28 Це в Віфа́нії ді́ялося, на тім боці Йорда́ну, де христив був Іван.
These things, in Bethany, came to pass, beyond the Jordan, where John was, immersing.
29 Наступного дня Іван бачить Ісуса, що до нього йде, та й каже: „Оце А́гнець Божий, що на Се́бе гріх світу бере!
On the morrow, he beholdeth Jesus, coming unto him, and saith—See! the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world.
30 Це Той, що про Нього казав я: За мною йде Муж, що передо мною Він був, бо був перше, ніж я.
This, is he, of whom, I, said—After me, cometh a man, who, before me, hath advanced, because, my Chief, was he.
31 І не знав я Його́; та для того прийшов я, христивши водою, щоб Ізраїлеві Він з'явився“.
And, I, knew him not, but, that he might be manifested unto Israel, therefore, came, I, in water, immersing.
32 І сві́дчив Іван, промовляючи: „Бачив я Духа, що сходив, як голуб, із неба, та зоставався на Ньому.
And John bare witness, saying—I have gazed upon the Spirit, descending like a dove, out of heaven, —and it abode upon him.
33 І не знав я Його, але Той, Хто христити водою послав мене, мені оповів: „Над Ким Духа побачиш, що сходить і зостається на Ньому, — це Той, Хто христитиме Духом Святим“.
And, I, knew him not, —but, he that sent me to immerse in water, he, unto me, said—Upon whomsoever thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding upon him, the same, is he that immerseth in Holy Spirit.
34 І я бачив, і засві́дчив, що Він — Божий Син!“
I, therefore, have seen, and borne witness—That, this, is, the, Son of God.
35 Наступного дня стояв зно́ву Іван та двоє з учнів його.
On the morrow, again, was John standing, and, from among his disciples, two;
36 І, поглянувши на Ісуса, що проходив, він сказав: „Ото А́гнець Божий!“
and, looking at Jesus walking, he saith—See! the Lamb of God!
37 І почули два у́чні, як він говорив, та й пішли за Ісусом.
and the two disciples hearkened unto him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
38 А Ісус обернувся й побачив, що вони йшли за Ним, та й каже до них: „Чого́ ви шукаєте?“А вони відказали Йому: „Равві́ — перекладене це визначає: „Учителю“, — де Ти живеш?“
But Jesus, turning, and looking at them following, saith unto them—What seek ye? And, they, said unto him—Rabbi! which meaneth, when translated, Teacher, Where abidest thou?
39 Він говорить до них: „Ходіть і побачте!“Ті пішли та й побачили, де́ Він жив, і в Нього той день перебули́. Було ж коло години десятої.
He saith unto them—Be coming, and ye shall see. They came, therefore, and saw where he abode, and, with him, they abode that day. It was about the tenth, hour.
40 А один із тих двох, що чули від Івана та йшли вслід за Ним, був Андрій, брат Си́мона Петра.
One of the two that heard from John and followed him, was Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter.
41 Він знайшов перше Си́мона, брата свого, та й говорить до нього: „Знайшли ми Месі́ю, що визначає: Христос“.
The same findeth, first, his own brother Simon, and saith unto him—We have found the Messiah! which is, when translated, Anointed.
42 І привів він його до Ісуса. На нього ж спогля́нувши, промовив Ісус: „Ти — Си́мон, син Йо́нин; будеш званий ти Ки́фа, що визначає: камінь“.
He led him unto Jesus. Jesus, looking at him, said—Thou, art Simon, the son of John, —thou, shalt be called, Cephas; which is to be translated, Peter.
43 Наступного дня захотів Він піти в Галілею. І знайшов Він Пилипа та й каже йому: „Іди за Мною!“
On the morrow, he desired to go forth into Galilee. And Jesus findeth Philip, and saith unto him—Be following me!
44 А Пилип із Віфсаїди похо́див, із міста Андрія й Петра.
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Пилип Натанаї́ла знахо́дить та й каже йому: „Ми знайшли Того, що про Нього писав був Мойсей у Зако́ні й Пророки, — Ісуса, сина Йо́сипового, із Назаре́ту“.
Philip, findeth, Nathanael, and saith unto him—Him, of whom wrote Moses in the law, and the Prophets, have we found.—Jesus, son of Joseph, him from Nazareth!
46 І сказав йому Натанаї́л: „Та хіба ж може бути з Назаре́ту що добре?“Пилип йому каже: „Прийди та побач“.
And Nathanael said unto him—Out of Nazareth, can any good thing come? Philip saith unto him—Come, and see!
47 Ісус, угледівши Натанаїла, що до Нього Йде, говорить про нього: „Ото справді ізра́їльтянин, що немає в нім пі́дступу!“
Jesus saw Nathanael coming unto him, and saith concerning him—See! Truly, an Israelite, in whom is no guile.
48 Говорить Йому Натанаїл: „Звідки знаєш мене?“Ісус відповів і до нього сказав: „Я бачив тебе ще давніш, ніж Пилип тебе кликав, як під фіґовим деревом був ти“.
Nathanael saith unto him—Whence, dost thou, know, me? Jesus answered, and said unto him—Before Philip called thee, —when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
49 Відповів Йому Натанаїл: „Учителю, Ти — Син Божий, Ти — Цар Ізраїлі́в!“
Nathanael answered him—Rabbi! thou, art, the Son of God: Thou, art, King, of Israel.
50 Ісус відповів і до нього сказав: „Через те віриш ти, що сказав Я тобі, що під фіґовим деревом бачив тебе? Більш від цього побачиш!“
Jesus answered, and said unto him—Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, believest thou? A greater thing than these, shalt thou see!
51 І Він каже йому: „Поправді, поправді кажу́ вам: Відтепе́р ви побачите небо відкрите та анголів Божих, що на Лю́дського Сина підіймаються та спускаються“.
And he saith unto him—Verily, verily, I say unto you: Ye shall see heaven—when set open, and, the messengers of God, ascending and descending unto the Son of Man.
