Йов 19
1 А Йов відповів та й сказав:
Then Job answered and said,
2 „Аж до́ки смути́ти ви бу́дете душу мою, та души́ти словами мене?
How long will you vex my soul, and destroy me with words? only know that the Lord has dealt with me thus.
3 Десять раз це мене ви соро́мите, гноби́ти мене не стида́єтесь!
You speak against me; you do not feel for me, but bear hard upon me.
4 Якщо справді зблуди́в я, то мій гріх при мені позоста́не.
Yes verily, I have erred in truth, (but the error abides with myself) in having spoken words which it was not right [to speak]; and my words err, and are unreasonable.
5 Чи ви велича́єтесь справді над мною, і виказуєте мою га́ньбу на мене?
But alas! for you magnify yourselves against me, and insult me with reproach.
6 Знайте тоді, що Бог скри́вдив мене, і тене́та Свої розточи́в надо мною!
Know then that it is the Lord that has troubled [me], and has raised his bulwark against me.
7 Ось „ґвалт!“я кричу́, та не відповідає ніхто, голошу́, — та немає суду!
Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: [or] I will cry out, but [there is] nowhere judgment.
8 Він дорогу мою оточи́в — і я не перейду́, Він поклав на стежки́ мої те́мряву!
I am fenced round about, and can by no means escape: he has set darkness before my face.
9 Він стягнув з мене славу мою і вінця́ зняв мені з голови!
And he has stripped me of my glory, and has taken the crown from my head.
10 Звідусі́ль Він ламає мене, — і я йду, наді́ю мою, як те дерево, ви́вернув Він.
He has torn me around about, and I am gone: and he has cut off my hope like a tree.
11 І на мене Свій гнів запали́в, і зарахува́в Він мене до Своїх ворогів:
And he has dreadfully handled me in anger, and has counted me for an enemy.
12 полки́ Його ра́зом прихо́дять, і тору́ють на ме́не доро́гу свою, і табору́ють навко́ло наме́ту мого.
His troops also came upon me with one accord, liars in wait compassed my ways.
13 Віддали́в Він від мене братів моїх, а знайо́мі мої почужі́ли для мене,
My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognized strangers [rather] than me: and my friends have become pitiless.
14 мої ближні відста́ли, і забу́ли про мене знайо́мі мої.
My nearest of kin have not acknowledged me, and they that knew my name, have forgotten me.
15 Ме́шканці дому мого́, і служниці мої за чужого вважають мене́, — чужако́м я став в їхніх оча́х.
[As for] my household, and my maidservants, I was a stranger before them.
16 Я кличу свойо́го раба — і він відповіді не дає, хоч своїми уста́ми благаю його́.
I called my servant, and he listened not; and my mouth entreated [him].
17 Мій дух став бридки́й для моєї дружи́ни, а мій за́пах — синам моєї утро́би.
And I implored my wife, and earnestly entreated the sons of my concubines.
18 Навіть діти малі зневажають мене, — коли я встаю, то глузу́ють із мене.
But they rejected me for ever; whenever I rise up, they speak against me.
19 Мої всі пові́рники бри́дяться мною, а кого я кохав — оберну́лись на мене.
They that saw me abhorred me: the very persons whom I had loved, rose up against me.
20 До шкіри моєї й до тіла мого приліпилися кості мої, ще біля зубів лиш зосталася шкіра моя.
My flesh is corrupt under my skin, and my bones are held in [my] teeth.
21 Змилуйтеся надо мною, о, змилуйтеся надо мною ви, ближні мої, бо Божа рука доторкну́лась мене!
Pity me, pity me, O friends; for it is the hand of the Lord that has touched me.
22 Чого́ ви мене переслідуєте, немов Бог, і не наси́чуєтесь моїм тілом?
Therefore do you persecute me as also the Lord [does], and are not satisfied with my flesh?
23 О, коли б записати слова́ мої, о, коли б були в книжці вони позазна́чувані,
For oh that my words were written, and that they were recorded in a book forever,
24 коли б ри́льцем залізним та о́ливом в скелі навіки вони були ви́тесані!
with an iron pen and lead, or graven in the rocks!
25 Та я знаю, що мій Викупи́тель живий, і останнього дня Він піді́йме із пороху
For I know that he is eternal who is about to deliver me,
26 цю шкіру мою, яка розпадається, і з тіла свойого я Бога побачу,
[and] to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these [sufferings]: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;
27 сам я побачу Його, й мої очі побачать, а не очі чужі. Тануть ни́рки мої в моїм ну́трі!
which I am conscious of in myself, which mine eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in [my] bosom.
28 Коли скажете ви: „На́що будемо гнати його́, коли́ корень справи знахо́диться в ньому!“
But if you shall also say, What shall we say before him, and [so] find the root of the matter in him?
29 то побійтесь меча собі ви, бо гнів за провину — то меч, щоб ви знали, що є ще Суддя!“
Do you also beware of deceit: for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.
