Осія 11
1 Як Ізраїль був хлопцем, Я його покохав, і з Єгипту покликав Я сина Свого́.
When Israel [was] a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
2 Як часто їх кликав, так вони йшли від Мене, — прино́сили жертви Ваа́лам, і кадили бовва́нам.
[As] they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
3 Я ж Єфрема ходити навчав, Я їх брав на раме́на Свої, та не знали вони, що Я їх лікува́в.
I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
4 Я тягнув їх шнурка́ми, що лю́дям лицю́ють, шнурка́ми любови, і був Я для них немов ті, що здіймають ярмо́ з-над їхньої шиї, і Я їх годував.
I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
5 До кра́ю єгипетського він не ве́рнеться, та Ашшур — він буде для нього царем, бо вони не хотіли верну́тись до Мене.
He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
6 А міста́ми його ґрасува́тиме меч, і за́суви його повила́млює він та й пожере́ їх за за́думи їхні.
And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour [them], because of their own counsels.
7 А наро́д Мій схильни́й відпада́ти від Мене, і хоч кличуть його догори, він не підійма́ється ра́зом.
And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt [him].
8 Як тебе Я, Єфреме, відда́м, як ви́дам тебе́, о Ізраїлю? Як тебе Я віддам, як Адму, учиню тебе, мов Цевоїм? У Мені переверну́лося серце Моє, розпали́лася ра́зом і жа́лість Моя!
How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? [how] shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? [how] shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
9 Не вчиню́ жару гніву Свого, більше ни́щити Єфрема не бу́ду, бо Бог Я, а не люди́на, серед тебе — Святий, і не прийду́ в люті гніву.
I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I [am] God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
10 За Господом пі́дуть вони, а Він заричи́ть, немов лев, і Він заричи́ть, і від за́ходу при́йдуть в тремті́нні сини́.
They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
11 Вони при́йдуть в тремті́нні, як птах із Єгипту, і як голуб із кра́ю Ашшу́ра, і Я посаджу́ їх по їхніх дома́х, говорить Госпо́дь.
They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
12 Єфре́м оточи́в Мене лжею, лука́вством — Ізраїлів дім, а Юда держа́вся ще з Богом і з святими був вірний.
Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
