До євреїв 5
1 Кожен бо первосвященик, що з-між людей вибирається, настановляється для людей на служі́ння Богові, щоб прино́сити да́ри та жертви за гріхи,
For every chief priest taken out of men is set in things [pertaining] to God in behalf of men, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins,
2 і щоб міг співчува́ти недосві́дченим та заблу́дженим, бо й сам він пере́йнятий слабістю.
being able to be gentle to those being ignorant and going astray, since he is also surrounded with weakness;
3 І тому́ він повинен як за людей, так само й за себе само́го прино́сити жертви за гріхи.
and because of this [weakness] he ought, just as for the people, so also for himself, to bring forward [sacrifices] for sins;
4 А чести цієї ніхто не бере сам собою, а покликаний Богом, як і Ааро́н.
and no one takes the honor to himself, but he who is called by God, as also Aaron.
5 Так і Христос, — не Сам Він просла́вив Себе, щоб Первосвящеником стати, а Той, що до Нього сказав: „Ти Мій Син, Я сьогодні Тебе породи́в“.
So also the Christ did not glorify Himself to become Chief Priest, but He who spoke to Him: “You are My Son, today I have begotten You”;
just as He also says in another [place], “You [are] a priest throughout the age, according to the order of Melchizedek”; (aiōn g165)
7 Він за днів тіла Свого з голосі́нням великим та слізьми́ приніс був блага́ння й молитви до Того, Хто від смерти Його міг спасти, — і був вислуханий за побожність Свою.
who in the days of His flesh having offered up both prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and having been heard in respect to that which He feared,
8 І хоч Сином Він був, проте́ навчився по́слуху з того, що вистраждав був.
though being a Son, [He] learned obedience by the things which He suffered,
9 А вдоскона́лившися, Він для всіх, хто слухня́ний Йому, спричини́вся для вічного спасі́ння, (aiōnios g166)
and having been made perfect, He became the cause of continuous salvation to all those obeying Him, (aiōnios g166)
10 і від Бога був на́званий Первосвящеником за чином Мелхиседе́ковим.
having been called by God a Chief Priest according to the order of Melchizedek,
11 Про це нам би треба багато казати, та ви́словити важко його, бо нездібні ви стали, щоб слухати.
concerning the Word, of whom we have much [to speak], and of hard explanation to say, since you have become dull of hearing,
12 Ви бо за віком повинні б бути вчителя́ми, але ви потребуєте ще, щоб хтось вас навчав перших поча́тків Божого Сло́ва. І ви стали такими, яким потрібне молоко, а не стра́ва тверда́.
for even owing to be teachers, because of the time, again you have need that one teach you what [are] the elements of the beginning of the oracles of God, and you have become having need of milk, and not of strong food,
13 Бо хто молока вживає, той недосві́дчений у слові праведности, — бо він немовля́.
for everyone who is partaking of milk [is] unskilled in the word of righteousness—for he is an infant,
14 А страва тверда́ — для дорослих, що мають чуття, при́вчені звичкою розрізняти добро й зло.
and the strong food is of perfect men, who because of the use are having the senses exercised, to both the discernment of good and of evil.
