1 А оце нащадки Ісава, цебто Едома.
Now these, are the generations of Esau the same, is Edom.
2 Ісав узяв жінок своїх з дочок ханаанських, — Аду, дочку Елона хіттеянина, та Оголіваму, дочку Ани, дочку Ців'она хівеянина, (questioned)
Esau, took his wives of the daughters of Canaan, —Even Adah, daughter of Elon, the Hittite, And Oholibamah daughter of Anah, son of Zibeon, the Hivite;
3 та Босмат, дочку Ізмаїлову, сестру Невайотову.
And Basemath daughter of Ishmael sister of Nebaioth.
4 І породила Ада Ісавові Еліфаза, а Босмат породила Реуїла,
So Adah bare to Esau, Eliphaz, and, Basemath, bare Reuel;
5 а Оголівама породила Суша, і Ялама, і Кораха. Оце сини Ісавові, що були йому народжені в ханаанській землі.
and Oholibamah, bare Jeush and Jalam and Korah. These, are the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
6 І взяв Ісав жінок своїх, і синів своїх, і дочок своїх, і всі душі дому свого, і худобу свою, і все стадо своє, і все своє майно, що набув у ханаанській землі, та й пішов до Краю від обличчя Якова, брата свого,
Then took Esau his wives, and his sons, and his daughters and all the souls of his house, and his herds and all his beasts, and all his possessions whatsoever he had gathered in the land of Canaan, —and went into a land, away from the face of Jacob his brother,
7 бо маєток їх був більший, щоб пробува́ти їм разом, і край їх часового замешкання не міг вмістити їх через їхню худобу.
For their substance had become too great for them to dwell together, —neither could the land of their sojournings sustain them, because of their herds,
8 І осівся Ісав на горі Сеїр, Ісав — він Едом.
So Esau dwelt in Mount Seir, Esau, is Edom.
9 А оце нащадки Ісава, батька Едому на горі Сеїр.
And, these, are the generations of Esau father of Edom, —in Mount Seir.
10 Оце ймення синів Ісавових: Еліфаз, син Ади, жінки Ісавової, Реуїл, син Босмати, Ісавової жінки.
These, are the name of the sons of Esau, —Eliphaz son of Adah wife of Esau, Reuel son of Basemath wife of Esau.
11 А сини Еліфазові були: Теман, Омар, Цефо́, і Ґатам, і Кеназ.
Then came the sons of Eliphaz to be, —Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 А Тимна була наложниця Еліфаза, Ісавового сина, і породила вона Еліфазові Амали́ка. Оце сини́ Ади, Ісавової жінки.
Now, Timna, became the concubine of Eliphaz son of Esau, and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek. These, are the sons of Adah, wife of Esau.
13 А оце сини Реуїлові: Нагат і Зера, Шамма й Мізза. Оце сини Босмати, Ісавової жінки.
And, these, are the sons of Reuel, Nahath and Zerah Shammah and Mizzah, —These were the sons of Basemath wife of Esau.
14 А оці були сини Оголівами, дочки Ани, дочки Ців'она, Ісавової жінки, — і вродила вона Ісаву Єуша, і Ялама, і Корея.
And, these, were the sons of Oholibamah daughter of Anah, son of Zibeon, wife of—Esau, —she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
15 А оце провідники Ісавових синів. Сини Еліфаза, Ісавового перворідного: провідник Теман, провідник Омар, провідник Цефо, провідник Кеназ,
These, are the chiefs of the sons of Esau: —The sons of Eliphaz, firstborn of Esau, —Chief Teman, chief Omar, chief Zepho, chief Kenaz,
16 провідник Корей, провідник Ґатам, провідник Амалик. Оце провідники Еліфаза в краю Едома, оце сини Ади.
chief Korah, chief Gatam, chief Amalek. These are the chiefs of Eliphaz in the land of Edom, these, the sons of Adah.
17 А оце сини Реуїла, Ісавового сина: провідник Нагат, провідник Зерах, провідник Шамма, провідник Мізза. Оце провідники Реуїлові в краю едомському, оце сини Босмати, Ісавової жінки.
And these, are the sons of Reuel, son of Esau—Chief Nahath, chief Zerah, chief Shammah, chief Mizzah, —These are the chiefs of Reuel, in the land of Edom, these, the sons of Basemath wife of Esau.
18 А оце сини Оголівами, жінки Ісава: провідник Еуш, провідник Ялам, провідник Корей, — оце провідники Оголівами, дочки Ани, Ісавової жінки.
And these, are the sons of Oholibamah wife of Esau, Chief Jeush chief Jalam, chief Korah, —These are the chiefs of Oholibamah daughter of Anah wife of Esau.
19 Оце сини Ісава, цебто Едома, і оце їхні провідники.
These, are the sons of Esau, and, these, their chiefs—the same, is Edom.
20 Оце сини Сеїра, хореянина, мешканці цієї землі: Лотан і Шовал, і Ців'он, і Ана,
These, are the sons of Seir, the Horite, who were dwelling in the land, —Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah;
21 і Дішон, і Ецев, і Дішан, — оце провідники хореянина, сини Сеїру, краю едомського.
and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan, —These, are the chiefs of the Horites the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.
22 А сини Лотана були: Хорі й Гемам, а Лотанова сестра — Тимна.
Then came the sons of Lotan to be, Hori and Hemam, —And, the sister of Lotan was Timna.
23 А оце сини Шовалові: Алван і Манахат, і Евал, Шефо, і Онам.
And, these, are the sons of Shobal, Alvan and Manahath, and Ebal, —Shepho, and Onam.
24 А ото сини Ців'онові: і Айя, і Ана, той Ана, що знайшов був в пустині гарячі джерела, коли пас осли Ців'она, свого батька.
And, these, are the sons of Zibeon: Both Aiah and Anah, —The same, is the Anah that found the warm springs in the desert, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
25 А оце діти Ани: Дішон, і Оголівама, дочка Ани.
And these are the sons of Anah Dishon, —and Oholibamah, is daughter of Anah.
26 А оце сини Дішо́нові: Хемдан, і Ешбан, і Ітран, і Керан.
And, these, are the sons of Dishon, —Hemdan and Eshban, and Ithran and Cheran.
27 Ото сини Ецера: Білган, і Зааван, і Акан.
These, are the sons of Ezer, —Bilhan and Zaavan, and Akan.
28 Оце сини Дішана: Уц і Аран.
These, are the sons of Dishan, —Uz and Aran.
29 Оце провідники хореянина: провідник Лотан, провідник Шовал, провідник Ців'он, провідник Ана,
These, are the chiefs of the Horites, —Chief Lotan, chief Shobal, chief Zibeon, chief Anah;
30 провідник Дішон, провідник Ецер, провідник Дішан, — оце провідники хореянина за їхніми провідниками в краї Сеїр.
chief Dishon, chief Ezer, chief Dishan. These, are the chiefs of the Horites, after their chiefs in the land of Seir.
31 А оце царі, що царювали в краю Едома перед царюва́нням царя в синів Ізраїлевих.
And, these, are the kings, who reigned in the land of Edom, —before there reigned a king of the sons of Israel:
32 І царював в Едомі Бела, син Беора, а ймення його міста Дінгава.
There reigned in Edom, Bela, son of Beor, —and the name of his city, was Dinhabah.
33 І вмер Бела, і зацарював замість нього Йовав, син Зераха з Боцри.
Then died Bela, —and there reigned in his stead, Jobab son of Zerah, from Bozrah.
34 І вмер Йовав, і зацарював замість нього Хушам із землі теманіянина.
Then died Jobab, —and there reigned in his stead, Husham, from the land of the Temanites.
35 I вмер Хушам, і зацарював замість нього Гадад, син Бедада, що побив мідіян на полі Моава, а ймення його міста Авіт.
Then died Husham, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad, son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, and, the name of his city, was Avith.
36 І вмер Гадад, і зацарював замість нього Самла з Машеку.
Then died Hadad, —and there reigned in his stead, Samlah from Masrekah.
37 І вмер Самла, і зацарював замість нього Саул з Реховоту надрічного.
Then died Samlah, —and there reigned in his stead, Shaul, from Rohoboth of the River.
38 І вмер Саул, і зацарював замість нього Баал-Ханан, син Ахборів.
Then died Shaul, —and there reigned in his stead, Baal-hanan, son of Achbor.
39 І вмер Баал-Ханан, син Ахборів, і зацарював замість нього Гадад, а ім'я́ його міста Пау, а ім'я його жінки Мегетав'іл, дочка Матреди, дочки Ме-Загава.
Then died Baal-hanan son of Achbor, and there reigned in his stead Hadar, and the name of his city, was Pau, —and, the name of his wife, Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-zahab.
40 А оце імена провідників Ісавових за їхніми родами, за місцями їх, їхніми іменами: провідник Тимна, провідник Алва, провідник Етет,
These then are the names of the chiefs of Esau after their families, after their places by their names, —Chief Timnah, chief Alvah chief Jetheth;
41 провідник Оголівама, провідник Ела, провідник Пінон,
chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon;
42 провідник Кеназ, провідник Теман, провідник Мівцар,
chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar;
43 провідник Маґдіїл, провідник Ірам. Оце провідники Едома — він же Ісав, батько Едому за їхніми осе́лями в кра́ї їхнього володіння.
chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These, are the chiefs of Edom—after their dwellings in the land of their possession, the same, is Esau, father of Edom.
