До галатів 1
1 Апо́стол Павло́, поставлений ні від людей, ані від чоловіка, але́ від Ісуса Христа й Бога Отця, що з мертвих Його воскресив,
Pavl an Apostle (not of men, neither by man, but by Iesus Christ, and God the Father which hath raised him from the dead)
2 і присутня зо мною вся браття, до Церко́в галаті́йських:
And all the brethren which are with me, vnto the Churches of Galatia:
3 благодать вам і мир від Бога, Отця нашого, і Господа Ісуса Христа,
Grace be with you, and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Iesus Christ,
4 що за наші гріхи дав Само́го Себе, щоб від злого сучасного віку нас визволити, за волею Бога й Отця нашого, — (aiōn g165)
Which gaue himself for our sinnes, that he might deliuer vs from this present euill world according to the will of God euen our Father, (aiōn g165)
To whom be glory for euer and euer, Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Дивуюся я, що ви так скоро відхи́люєтесь від того, хто покликав Христовою благодаттю вас, на іншу Єва́нгелю,
I marueile that ye are so soone remoued away vnto another Gospel, from him that had called you in the grace of Christ,
7 що не інша вона, але деякі є, що вас непокоять, і хочуть перевернути Христову Єва́нгелію.
Which is not another Gospel, saue that there be some which trouble you, and intend to peruert the Gospel of Christ.
8 Але якби й ми або а́нгол із неба зачав благовісти́ти вам не те, що ми вам благовісти́ли, — нехай буде прокля́тий!
But though that we, or an Angel from heauen preach vnto you otherwise, then that which we haue preached vnto you, let him be accursed.
9 Як ми перше казали, і тепер знов кажу́: коли хто вам не те благовісти́ть, що ви прийняли́, — нехай буде прокля́тий!
As we sayd before, so say I now againe, If any man preach vnto you otherwise, then that ye haue receiued, let him be accursed.
10 Бо тепер чи я в людей шукаю призна́ння чи в Бога? Чи лю́дям дба́ю я догоджа́ти? Бо коли б догоджав я ще лю́дям, я не був би рабо́м Христовим.
For nowe preach I mans doctrine, or Gods? or go I about to please men? for if I should yet please men, I were not the seruant of Christ.
11 Звіщаю ж вам, браття, що Єва́нгелія, яку я благовісти́в, — вона не від людей.
Now I certifie you, brethren, that ye Gospel which was preached of me, was not after man.
12 Бо я не прийняв, ні навчився її від люди́ни, але об'явленням Ісуса Христа.
For neither receiued I it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the reuelation of Iesus Christ.
13 Чули бо ви про моє поступо́вання перше в юдействі, що Божу Церкву жорсто́ко я переслідував та руйнував її.
For ye haue heard of my conuersation in time past, in the Iewish religion, how that I persecuted the Church of God extremely, and wasted it,
14 І я перевищував в юдействі багатьох своїх рове́сників роду мого, бувши запе́клим прихильником моїх отці́вських переда́нь.
And profited in the Iewish religion aboue many of my companions of mine owne nation, and was much more zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
15 Коли ж Бог, що вибрав мене від утро́би матері моєї і покликав благода́ттю Своєю, уподобав
But when it pleased God (which had separated me from my mothers wombe, and called me by his grace)
16 виявити мною Сина Свого, щоб благовістив я Його між поганами, — я не радився зараз із тілом та кров'ю,
To reueile his Sonne in me, that I should preach him among the Gentiles, immediatly I communicated not with flesh and blood:
17 і не відправився в Єрусалим до апо́столів, що передо мною були, а пішов я в Ара́бію, і зно́ву вернувся в Дама́ск.
Neither came I againe to Hierusalem to them which were Apostles before me, but I went into Arabia, and turned againe vnto Damascus.
18 По трьох ро́ках пото́му пішов я в Єрусалим побачити Ки́фу, і в нього пробув днів із п'ятнадцять.
Then after three yeeres I came againe to Hierusalem to visite Peter, and abode with him fifteene dayes.
19 А іншого з апо́столів я не бачив, крім Якова, брата Господнього.
And none other of the Apostles sawe I, saue Iames the Lords brother.
20 А що вам пишу́, ось кажу́ перед Богом, що я не обманюю!
Nowe the things which I write vnto you, beholde, I witnes before God, that I lie not.
21 Пото́му пішов я до си́рських та кілікі́йських країн.
After that, I went into the coastes of Syria and Cilicia:
22 Церква́м же Христовим в Юдеї я знаний не був особисто, -
for I was vnknowen by face vnto the Churches of Iudea, which were in Christ.
23 тільки чули вони, що той, що колись переслідував їх, благовісти́ть тепер віру, що колись руйнував був її.
But they had heard onely some say, Hee which persecuted vs in time past, nowe preacheth the faith which before he destroyed.
24 І сла́вили Бога вони через мене!
And they glorified God for me.
