1 І обернулися ми, та й пішли дорогою до Батану. І вийшов навпере́йми нас Оґ, цар башанський, він та ввесь його наро́д, на війну до Едреї.
And so we turneden, and stieden bi the weie of Basan; and Og, the kyng of Basan, yede out ayens vs with his puple, to fiyte in Edrai.
2 І сказав Господь до мене: „Не бійся його, бо в твою руку Я дав його, і ввесь наро́д його та край його, і зробиш йому, як зробив ти Сигонові, цареві амореян, що сидів у Хешбоні“.
And the Lord seide to me, Drede thou not hym, for he is bitakun in thin hond, with al his puple, and his lond; and thou schalt do to hym, as thou didist to Seon, kyng of Ammoreis, that dwellide in Esebon.
3 І дав Господь, Бог наш, у нашу руку також Оґа, царя башанського, та ввесь його народ, — і побили ми його, так що нікого не позоста́лося в нього.
Therfor oure Lord God bitook in oure hondis also Og, kyng of Basan, and al his puple; and we han smyte hym `til to deeth,
4 І здобули́ ми всі міста́ його, і того ча́су не було мі́ста, що не взяли б ми від них, — шістдеся́т міст, усю арґовську околицю, ца́рство Оґа в Башані.
and wastiden alle the citees `of him in o tyme; no town was that ascapide vs; `we destrieden sixti citees, al the cuntrei of Argob, of the rewme of Og in Basan.
5 Усі ці міста́ укріплені, — мур високий, воро́та й за́сув, окрім дуже багатьох відкритих міст.
Alle the citees weren strengthid with hiyest wallis, and with yatis and barris; with out townes vnnoumbrable, that hadden not wallis.
6 І вчинили ми їх закля́ттям, як зробили були Сигонові, цареві хешбонському, — учинили закляттям усе місто, чоловіків, жінок та дітей.
And we diden awey thilke men, as we diden to Seon, kyng of Esebon; and we losten ech citee, and men, and wymmen, and litle children;
7 А всю худобу й захоплене з міст забрали ми собі на здо́бич.
forsothe we token bi prey beestis, and the spuylis of citees.
8 І взяли ми того ча́су той край з руки обох царів амореянина, що по другому боці Йорда́ну, від Арнонського пото́ку аж до гори Гермо́н, —
And we token in that tyme the lond fro the hond of twey kyngis of Ammorreis, that weren biyonde Jordan, fro the stronde of Arnon `til to the hil of Hermon,
9 сидо́няни кличуть на Гермо́н Сірйо́н, а амореяни кличуть на нього Сені́р, —
`which hil Sidonyes clepen Sarion, and Ammorreis clepen Sanyr.
10 усі міста́ на рівни́ні, і ввесь Ґілеад, і ввесь Баша́н аж до Салхи й Едреї, міст царства Оґа в Башані.
We tooken alle the citees that weren set in the pleyn, and al the lond of Galaad, and of Basan, `til to Selcha and Edray, citees of the rewme of Og, in Basan.
11 Бо тільки Оґ, цар башанський, позостав із решти рефаїв. Оце його ло́же, ложе залізне; чи ж не воно в Раббі Аммонових синів, — дев'ять ліктів довжина́ його, і чотири лікті ширина́ його, на міру ліктем чоловіка.
For Og aloone, kyng of Basan, was left of the generacioun of giauntis; and his yrun bed is schewid, which is in Rabath, of the sones of Amon, and hath nyne cubitis of lengthe, and foure cubitis of breede, at the mesure of a cubit of mannus hond.
12 А край той того ча́су посіли ми. Від Ароеру, що над Арнонським пото́ком, і половину гори Ґілеад, і міста́ його я дав Руви́мовим та Ґадовим.
And we weldiden in that tyme the lond, fro Aroer, which is on the `brynke of the stronde of Arnon, `til to the myddil paart of the hil of Galaad; and Y yaf the citees `of hym to Ruben and Gad.
13 А решту Ґілеаду та ввесь Башан, царство Оґа, віддав я половині пле́менн Манасіїного, усю околицю арґовську, — на ввесь той Башан кличеться: край рефаїв.
Forsothe Y yaf the tother part of Galaad, and al Basan, of the rewme of Og, to the half lynage of Manasses, and al the cuntrei of Argob. Al Basan was clepid the lond of giauntis.
14 Яір, син Манасіїн, узяв всю Арґову околицю аж до границі ґешурів та маахатів, і він назвав їх своїм і́менем: Баша́н, се́ла Яіра, і так їх кли́чуть аж до цього дня.
Jair, `sone of Manasses, weldide al the cuntrey of Argob, `til to the lond of Gesuri and of Machati; and he clepide bi his name Basan Anothiair, that is, the townes of Jair, til in to present dai.
15 А Махірові дав я Ґілеад.
Also Y yaf Galaad to Machir; and to the lynagis of Ruben and of Gad Y yaf the lond of Galaad, `til to the strond of Arnon, the myddil of the stronde,
16 А Рувимовим та Ґадовим дав я від Ґілеаду й аж до Арнонського пото́ку, сере́дину потоку та границю, і аж до потоку Яббоку, границі Аммонових синів,
and of the endis `til to the stronde of Jeboth, which is the terme of `the sones of Amon.
17 і степ, і Йорда́н, і границю його від Кіннерету аж до моря сте́пу, моря Солоного, у узбіччя Пісґі на схід.
And Y yaf the pleyn of the wildernesse `til to Jordan, and the termes of Cenereth `til to the see of deseert, which see is moost salt, at the rotis of the hil of Phasga, ayens the eest.
18 І ча́су того́ наказав я вам, говорячи: „Господь, Бог ваш, дав вам цей край, щоб ви посіли його; узброєні пере́йдете перед вашими братами, Ізраїлевими синами, усі військо́ві.
And Y comaundide to you in that tyme, and seide, Youre Lord God yyueth to you this lond in to erytage;
19 Тільки ваші жінки, і ваші діти та ваша худоба, — я знаю, що худоба ваша велика! — будуть сидіти по ваших міста́х, що я дав вам,
alle ye stronge men, without wyues and litle children and beestis, be maad redi, and `go ye bifor youre brithren, the sones of Israel. For Y knowe that ye han many beestis, and tho schulen dwelle in citees whiche Y yaf to you,
20 аж Господь дасть спочи́нок братам вашим, як вам, і посядуть також вони той край, що Господь, Бог ваш, дає вам по той бік Йорда́ну, — і ве́рнетесь кожен до спа́дку свого, що я дав вам“.
til the Lord yyue reste to youre brithren, as he yaf to you, and til thei also welden the lond `which the Lord schal yyue to hem biyonde Jordan; thanne ech man schal turne ayen in to his possessioun which Y yaf to you.
21 А Ісусові наказав я того ча́су, говорячи: „Ото твої очі бачили все, що зробив був Господь, Бог ваш, обом тим царям, — так зробить Господь усім ца́рствам, куди ти переходиш.
Also Y comaundid to Josue in that tyme, and seide, Thin iyen sien what thingis youre Lord God dide to these twei kyngis; so he schal do to alle rewmes, to whiche thou schalt go; drede thou not hem.
22 Не будеш боятися їх, бо Господь, Бог ваш, Він Той, що воює для вас“.
And Y preiede the Lord in that tyme,
23 І благав я того ча́су Господа, говорячи:
and seide, Lord God, thou hast bigunne to schewe to thi seruaunt thi greetnesse, and strongeste hond,
24 „Владико Господи, — Ти зачав показувати рабові Своєму ве́лич Свою та міцну́ Свою руку! Бо хто інший Бог на небі та на землі, що зробить, як чи́ни Твої, як великі діла́ Твої?
for noon other God is ether in heuene, ether in erthe, that mai do thi werkis, and may be comparisound to thi strengthe.
25 Нехай перейду́ ж я та побачу той хороший край, що по тім боці Йорда́ну, ту гарну гірську́ землю та Лива́н!“
Therfor Y schal passe, and schal se this beeste lond biyende Jordan, and this noble hil and Liban.
26 Та Господь розгнівався на мене через вас, і не послухав мене. І сказав Господь до мене: „До́сить тобі, — не говори більше до Мене в цій справі!
And the Lord was wrooth to me for you, nethir he herde me, but seide to me, It suffisith to thee; speke thou no more of this thing to me.
27 Вийди на верхі́в'я Пісґі, і зведи свої очі на за́хід, і на північ, і на пі́вдень, і на схід, і побач своїми очима, — бо ти не пере́йдеш цього Йорда́ну!
`Stye thou in to the hiynesse of Phasga, and caste aboute thin iyen to the west, and north, and south, and eest, and biholde, for thou schalt not passe this Jordan.
28 І напоуми́ Ісуса, і зміцни його, й укріпи його, бо він пере́йде перед цим наро́дом, і він зробить, що вони посядуть той край, який ти побачиш“.
Comaunde thou to Josue, and strengthe thou and coumforte hym; for he schal go bifore this puple, and he schal departe to hem the lond, which thou schalt se.
29 І осіли ми в долині навпроти Бет-Пеору.
And we dwelliden in the valey ayens the temple of Phegor.
