1 І наказав Мойсей та Ізра́їлеві старші́ народові, говорячи: „Додержуйте всіх за́повідей, що я сьогодні наказую вам!
And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep the whole commandment which I command you this day.
2 І станеться того дня, коли ви пере́йдете Йорда́н до того кра́ю, що дає тобі Господь, Бог твій, то поставиш собі велике каміння, і пова́пниш їх вапно́м.
And it shall be on the day when ye pass over the Jordan unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set up for thyself great stones, and cover them with plaster;
3 І понапи́суєш на них усі слова́ цього Зако́ну, коли пере́йдеш, щоб увійшов ти до того кра́ю, що Господь, Бог твій, дає тобі, край, що тече молоком та медом, як промовляв був Господь, Бог батьків твоїх, до тебе.
And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, so soon as thou art passed over; in order that thou mayest go in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, a land flowing with milk and honey; as the Lord, the God of thy fathers, hath spoken unto thee.
4 І станеться, коли ви пере́йдете Йорда́н, поставите те каміння, що я наказую вам сьогодні, на горі Ева́л, і пова́пните їх вапно́м.
And it shall be so soon as ye are gone over the Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, on mount 'Ebal; and thou shalt cover them with plaster.
5 І збудуєш там же́ртівника для Господа, Бога свого, жертівника з каміння, — не піднесеш над ними заліза.
And thou shalt build there an altar unto the Lord thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.
6 З нетесаного камі́ння збудуєш же́ртівника Господа, Бога свого, і принесеш на ньому цілопа́лення Господе́ві, Богові своєму.
Of whole stones shalt thou build the altar of the Lord thy God; and thou shalt offer thereupon burnt-offerings unto the Lord thy God;
7 І принесеш на жертву мирні жертви, і будеш там їсти, і будеш тішитися перед лицем Господа, Бога свого.
And thou shalt slay peace-offerings, and eat [them] there; and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God.
8 І напишеш на тих камі́ннях усі слова цього Зако́ну дуже вира́зно“.
And thou shalt write upon the statues all the words of this law, very plainly.
9 І промовляв Мойсей та всі священики-Левити, до всього Ізраїля, говорячи: „Уважай та слухай, Ізраїлю, — ти цього дня став народом Господа, Бога свого.
And Moses with the priests, the Levites, spoke unto all Israel, saying, Be attentive, and hearken, O Israel! this day art thou become a people unto the Lord thy God.
10 І будеш ти слу́хатися Господа, Бога свого, і будеш виконувати заповіді Його та постанови Його, що я наказую тобі сьогодні“.
Thou shalt therefore hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
11 І наказав Мойсей того дня наро́дові, говорячи:
And Moses commanded the people on the same day, saying,
12 „Оці стануть на горі Ґарізі́м, щоб благословляти народ, коли ви пере́йдете Йорда́н: Симео́н, і Леві́й, і Юда, і Іссаха́р, і Йо́сип, і Веніями́н.
These shall stand upon mount Gerizzim to bless the people, when ye are come over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
13 А оці стануть для клятви на горі Ева́л: Руви́м, Ґад, і Аси́р, і Завуло́н, Дан і Нефтали́м.
And these shall stand for the sake of the curse upon mount 'Ebal: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 І відповідять Левити, і скажуть до всіх Ізраїлевих мужів сильним голосом:
And the Levites shall commence, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
15 „Прокля́та люди́на, що зробить бовва́на різаного або литого, гидо́ту для Господа, чин різьба́рських рук, і поставить таємно! І відповість увесь наро́д, та й скаже: амі́нь!
Cursed be the man who maketh a graven or molten image, the abomination of the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place; and all the people shall answer, and say, Amen.
16 Прокля́тий той, хто легкова́жить свого батька та свою матір! А ввесь народ скаже: амі́нь!
Cursed be he that holdeth in light esteem his father or his mother; and all the people shall say, Amen.
17 Прокля́тий, хто пересуває межу́ свого бли́жнього! А ввесь народ скаже: амі́нь!
Cursed be he that removeth the landmark of his neighbor; and all the people shall say, Amen.
18 Прокля́тий, хто робить блудя́чим сліпого в дорозі! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!
Cursed be he that causeth the blind to wander out of the way; and all the people shall say, Amen.
19 Прокля́тий, хто перекручує право прихо́дька, сироти та вдови! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!
Cursed be he that perverteth the cause of the stranger, of the fatherless, and of the widow; and all the people shall say, Amen.
20 Прокля́тий, хто лягає з жінкою батька свого, бо відкрив він подолка одежі свого батька! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!
Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt; and all the people shall say, Amen.
21 Прокля́тий, хто лягає з усяким скотом! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!
Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast; and all the people shall say, Amen.
22 Прокля́тий, хто лягає з сестрою своєю, дочко́ю свого батька або з дочкою своєї матері! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!
Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother; and all the people shall say, Amen.
23 Прокля́тий, хто лягає з тещею своєю! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!
Cursed be he that lieth with his mother-in-law; and all the people shall say, Amen.
24 Прокля́тий, хто вбиває свого ближнього потаємно! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!
Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbor secretly; and all the people shall say, Amen.
25 Прокля́тий, хто бере пі́дкупа, щоб забити кого, пролляти кров непови́нну! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!
Cursed be he that taketh a bribe to slay a person, an innocent blood; and all the people shall say, Amen.
26 Прокля́тий, хто не дотримає слів цього Зако́ну, щоб виконувати їх! А ввесь народ скаже: амінь!“
Cursed be he that executeth not the words of this law to do them; and all the people shall say, Amen.
