1 Оце постанови та зако́ни, які ви пильнува́тимете виконувати в кра́ї, що дав Господь, Бог батьків твоїх, на насліддя його всі дні, які жи́тимете на цій землі.
These are the statutes and the regulations which ye must observe to do, in the land which Yahweh the God of thy fathers hath given unto thee, to possess it, —all the days that ye are living upon the soil:
2 Конче ви́нищите всі ті місця, що служили там люди, яких ви виганяєте, своїм богам на високих гора́х і на пагірках, та під кожним зеленим де́ревом.
Ye must utterly destroy, all the places where the nations whom ye are dispossessing have served their gods, —Upon the high mountains And upon the hills, And under every green tree;
3 І розвалите їхні жертівники, і поламаєте камінні стовпи для богів, і їхні святі дере́ва попа́лите в огні, а бовва́нів їхніх богі́в порубаєте, і ви́губите їхнє ймення з того місця.
And ye must tear down their altars And break in pieces their pillars, And, their sacred stems, must ye consume with fire, And the carved images of their gods, must ye fell to the ground, —And destroy their name out of that place.
4 Не робитимете так Господе́ві, вашому Богові,
Ye must not do thus unto Yahweh your God;
5 бо тільки на місці, яке вибере Господь, Бог ваш, зо всіх ваших племе́н, щоб покласти там Ім'я́ Своє, на місці перебува́ння Його будете шукати, і ти при́йдеш туди.
but, unto the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, —as his habitation, shall ye ask your way, and come in thither;
6 І принесе́те туди свої цілопа́лення, і свої жертви, і свої десятини та прино́шення рук своїх, і обі́тниці свої, і да́ри свої, і перворідних худоби своєї великої та худоби своєї дрібно́ї.
and bring in thither your ascending-offerings and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, —and your vow-offerings and your freewill-offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock;
7 І будете їсти там перед лицем Господа, Бога вашого, і будете тішитися всім, до чого доторкне́ться ваша рука, ви та доми́ ваші, якими поблагослови́в тебе Господь, Бог твій.
and shall eat there before Yahweh your God, and rejoice in all whereunto ye are putting your hand, Ye, and your households, —wherewith Yahweh thy God hath blessed thee.
8 Там ви не зробите так, як ми робимо сьогодні тут, — кожен усе, що́ йому здається справедливим в оча́х тільки його,
Ye must not do according to all that we are doing here to-day, —every man, whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
9 бо ви дотепе́р не ввійшли до мі́сця відпочи́нку й до спа́дщини, що Господь, Бог твій, дає тобі.
Because ye have not entered as yet, —into the resting-place and into the inheritance which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee.
10 А коли ви пере́йдете Йорда́н і осядете в кра́ї, що Господь, Бог ваш, дає вам на спа́дщину, і Він заспоко́їть вас від усіх ворогів ваших навколо, і ви сидітимете безпечно,
But, when ye shall pass over the Jordan, and settle down in the land which, Yahweh your God, is causing you to inherit, —and he shall give you rest from all your enemies round about, and ye shall dwell securely,
11 то станеться, на те місце, що його ви́бере Господь, Бог ваш, щоб Ім'я́ Його перебува́ло там, туди принесете все, що я вам наказую: свої цілопа́лення, і свої жертви, десятини свої та прино́шення рук своїх, і всі добі́рні жертви обі́тниць своїх, що обіцяєте Господе́ві.
then shall it be, that unto the place which Yahweh your God shall choose to make a habitation for his name there, thither, shall ye bring in all that I am commanding you, —your ascending-offerings and your sacrifices your tithes and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your chosen vow-offerings which ye shall vow unto Yahweh.
12 І будете ті́шитися перед лицем Господа, Бога вашого, ви й сини ваші, і до́чки ваші, і раби ваші, і невільниці ваші, і Левит, що в ваших брамах, бо нема йому частки й спа́дку з вами.
So shall ye rejoice before Yahweh your God, Ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your servants and your handmaids, —and the Levite that is within your gates, forasmuch as he hath neither portion nor inheritance with you.
13 Стережися, щоб не прино́сив ти своїх цілопа́лень на кожному місці, яке побачиш,
Take heed to thyself, lest thou cause thine ascending-sacrifice to go up in just any place which thou shalt see;
14 бо тільки на тому місці, яке вибере Господь в одно́му з племе́н твоїх, там принесеш свої цілопа́лення, і там зробиш усе, що я наказую тобі.
but, in the place which Yahweh shall choose in one of thy tribes, there, shalt thou cause thine ascending-sacrifice to go up, and, there, shalt thou do all that I am commanding thee.
15 Але скільки запра́гне душа твоя, будеш різати й будеш їсти м'ясо, за благослове́нням Господа, Бога твого, що його́ дав тобі в усіх брамах твоїх; нечистий і чистий буде їсти його, як са́рну й як о́леня.
Howbeit of anything thy soul desireth, mayest thou sacrifice and so eat flesh—according to the blessing of Yahweh thy God which he hath bestowed upon thee, in all thy gates, the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, —as the gazelle and as the hart,
16 Тільки кро́ви не їстимеш, — на землю ви́ллєш її, як во́ду.
Howbeit, the blood, shall ye not eat, —upon the earth, shalt thou pour it out, like water.
17 Не зможеш ти їсти в брамах своїх десятини збіжжя свого, і соку виноградного свого, і оливи своєї, і перворідних худоби своєї великої й худоби своєї дрібно́ї, і всіх обі́тниць своїх, що будеш обіцяти, і добровільних да́рів своїх, і прино́шення своєї руки,
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates, the tithe of thy corn or of thy new wine or of thine oil, or the firstlings of thy herd, or of thy flock, —nor any of thy vow-offerings which thou shalt vow, nor thy freewill, offerings, nor the heave-offering of thy hand;
18 бо тільки перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, будеш їсти його в місці, яке вибере Господь, Бог твій, ти, і син твій, і дочка́ твоя, і раб твій, і невільниця твоя, і Леви́т, що в брамах твоїх. І будеш ти радіти перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, усім, до чого доторкнеться рука твоя.
but before Yahweh thy God, shalt thou eat it in the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose, thou and thy son and thy daughter, and thy servant and thy handmaid, and the Levite who is within thy gates, —so shalt thou rejoice before Yahweh thy God, in all whereunto thou puttest thy hand.
19 Стережися, щоб не залишив ти Левита по всі дні на землі своїй.
Take heed to thyself, lest thou forsake the Levite, —all thy days upon thy soil.
20 Коли Господь, Бог твій, поширить границю твою, як Він говорив тобі, і ти скажеш: „Нехай я їм м'ясо“, бо бу́де жадати душа твоя їсти м'ясо, то за всім жада́нням душі своєї будеш ти їсти м'ясо.
When Yahweh thy God shall enlarge thy boundary—as he hath spoken unto thee—and thou shalt say. I would eat flesh because thy soul desireth to eat flesh, of whatsoever thy soul desireth, mayest thou eat flesh.
21 Коли буде далеке від тебе те місце, що вибере Господь, Бог твій, щоб перебувало там Ім'я́ Його, то заріжеш із худоби своєї великої та з худоби своєї дрібної, що дав Господь тобі, як наказав я тобі, і будеш їсти в брамах своїх усім жада́нням своєї душі.
When the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose to put his name there, shall be, too far for thee, then shalt thou sacrifice of thy herd or of thy flock which Yahweh hath given unto thee, as I have commanded thee, —and shalt eat, within thine own gates, of whatsoever thy soul desireth.
22 Тільки як їсться са́рну й о́леня, так будеш їсти його, — нечистий та чистий однаково можуть їсти його.
Even as the gazelle and the hart is eaten, so, shalt thou eat it, —the unclean and the clean, alike shall eat it.
23 Тільки будь обере́жним, щоб не їсти кро́ви, бо кров — вона душа, і ти не будеш їсти душі ра́зом з м'ясом.
Howbeit firmly refrain from eating the blood; for the blood, is the life, —therefore must thou not eat the life with the flesh.
24 Не будеш їсти її, — на землю виллєш її, як во́ду.
Thou shalt not eat it, —upon the earth, shalt thou pour it out, like water.
25 Не будеш їсти її, щоб було́ добре тобі та синам твоїм по тобі, коли робитимеш справедливе в Господніх оча́х.
Thou shalt not eat it, —that it may be well with thee and with thy children after thee when thou shalt do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh.
26 Тільки святощі свої, що будуть у тебе, та обі́тниці свої понесеш, і при́йдеш до місця, яке вибере Господь.
Howbeit, thy holy things which thou shalt have and thy vow-offerings, shalt thou take and come in, unto the place which Yahweh shall choose;
27 І принесеш своє ціло́палення, м'ясо та кров, на же́ртівнику Господа, Бога свого, а кров твоїх інших же́ртов буде вилита на же́ртівнику Господа, Бога твого, а м'ясо будеш їсти.
and shalt offer thine ascending-sacrifices, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of Yahweh thy God, —and the blood of thine [other] sacrifices, shall be poured out upon the altar of Yahweh thy God, and then the flesh, shalt thou eat.
28 Виконуй і слухай усі ті слова́, що я наказую тобі, щоб було добре тобі та синам твоїм по тобі навіки, коли будеш робити добре та справедливе в оча́х Господа, Бога свого.
Observe and hear all these things which I am commanding thee, —that it may be well with thee and with thy children after thee, —unto times age-abiding, so long as thou shalt do that which is pleasing and right in the eyes of Yahweh thy God.
29 Коли Господь, Бог твій, вигубить народи, куди ти входиш, щоб посісти їх перед собою, і посядеш їх, і осядеш у їхньому кра́ї,
When Yahweh thy God shall cut off from before thee, the nations Whom thou art going in to dispossess, —and thou do dispossess them, and dwell in their land,
30 то стережися, щоб не впасти до пастки за ними, коли вони будуть ви́гублені перед тобою, і щоб не шукав ти їхніх богів, говорячи: Як служать ті люди бога́м своїм, то зроблю́ так і я.
take heed to thyself lest thou be thrust after them, after they have been destroyed from before thee, —and lest thou enquire after their gods, saying—In what manner, did these nations serve their gods, that, I too, may do likewise?
31 Не зробиш так Господе́ві, Богу своєму; бо всяку гидо́ту, яку Господь знена́видів, робили вони бога́м своїм, бо навіть синів своїх та дочо́к своїх вони палять в огні для богів своїх.
Thou shalt not do likewise unto Yahweh thy God, —for everything that is an abomination unto Yahweh which he doth hate, have they done unto their gods, for even their sons and their daughters, do they consume with fire unto their gods.
32 Кожне слово, що я наказую його вам, будете додержувати виконувати, — не додаси до нього, і не віді́ймеш від нього.
Whatsoever be the thing which I am commanding you, the same, shall ye observe to do, —thou shalt neither add thereunto, nor take away therefrom.
