2 Самуїлова 9
1 І сказав Давид: „Чи є ще хто, хто позостався з Саулового дому? Я зроблю́ йому ласку ради Йоната́на“.
And David said, Is there yet any one that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for the sake of Jonathan?
2 А при Сауловім домі був раб, а ім'я́ йому — Ціва. І покликали його до Давида, а цар сказав йому: „Чи ти Ціва?“А той відказав: „Раб твій!“
And the house of Saul had a servant whose name was Ziba; and they called him unto David; and the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And be said, Thy servant [is it].
3 І сказав цар: „Чи нема вже кого з Саулового дому, щоб я зробив йому Божу ласку?“. І сказав Ціва до царя: „ Є ще син Йонатанів, кривий на но́ги“.
And the king said, Is there no one left any more of the house of Saul, that I may show him the kindness of God! And Ziba said unto the king, There is yet a son of Jonathan, lame on both feet.
4 І сказав йому цар: „Де він?“А Ціва відказав цареві: „Ось він у домі Махіра, Амміїлового сина, в Ло-Деварі.“
And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of 'Ammiel, in Lo-debar.
5 І цар Давид послав, і взяв його з дому Махіра, Амміїлового сина, із Ло-Девару.
And king David sent, and had him taken out of the house of Machir, the son of 'Ammiel, from Lo-debar.
6 І прийшов Мефівошет, син Йонатана, Саулового сина, до Давида, і впав на обличчя своє й поклонився. І Давид сказав: „Мефіво́шете!“А той відказав: „Ось твій раб!“
And Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came unto David, and he fell on his face, and bowed himself. And David said, Mephibosheth; And he answered, Here is thy servant!
7 І сказав йому Давид: „Не бійся, бо справді зроблю́ тобі ласку ради батька твого Йоната́на, і зверну́ тобі все поле твого батька Саула. А ти будеш за́вжди їсти хліб при моєму столі“.
And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee kindness for the sake of Jonathan thy father, and I will restore unto thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
8 А той уклонився й сказав: „Що́ твій раб, що ти звернувся до такого мертвого пса, як я?“
And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldst turn thy regard unto such a dead dog as I am?
9 А цар кликнув до Ціви, Саулового слуги́, і до нього сказав: „Усе, що було́ Саулове та всього його дому, я дав синові твого пана.
Then called the king for Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, all that hath pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given unto thy master's son.
10 І бу́деш працювати йому на землі ти й сини твої та раби твої. І будеш прино́сити з урожаю, і буде хліб для сина твого пана, і він буде його їсти. А Мефіво́шет, син пана твого, буде за́вжди їсти хліб при моєму столі́“. А Ціва мав п'ятнадцять синів та двадцять рабів.
And thou shalt till for him the land, thou, and thy sons, and thy servants, and thou shalt bring in [the product], that thy master's son may have bread which he can eat; but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat continually bread at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
11 І сказав Ціва до царя: „Усе, як накаже мій пан цар своєму рабові, так зробить твій раб“. „А Мефіво́шет — сказав цар — буде їсти при моєму столі́, як один із царськи́х синів“.
And Ziba said unto the king, In accordance with all that my Lord the king may command his servant, so will thy servant do. And Mephibosheth [said the king] shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
12 А Мефівошет мав малого сина, а ім'я́ йому — Міха. І всі, хто ме́шкав у домі Цівн, були раби для Мефівошета.
And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
13 А Мефіво́шет сидів в Єрусалимі, бо він за́вжди їв при царсько́му столі́. І він був криви́й на оби́дві свої ноги́.
And Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem; for he ate continually at the king's table; and he was lame on both his feet.
