1 Петра 5
1 Тож благаю між вами пресві́терів, співпресві́тер та свідок Христових стражда́нь, співучасник слави, що повинна з'явитись:
Now to you who are presbyters I make this appeal; for I am myself a presbyter, and was a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory about to be revealed.
2 пасіть стадо Боже, що у вас, наглядайте не з примусу, але добровільно по-Божому, не для брудної наживи, а ревно,
Be shepherds to your flock of God; take charge of them willingly, and not through compulsion; not for filthy lucre, but with a willing mind;
3 не пануйте над спа́дком Божим, але будьте для стада за взір.
not by way of lording it over your heritage, but by becoming examples to the flock.
4 А коли Архипа́стир з'я́виться, то одержите ви нев'яну́чого вінка́ слави.
Then, when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, you too will receive the fadeless wreath of glory.
5 Також молоді, — коріться ста́ршим! А всі майте покору один до о́дного, бо „Бог проти́виться гордим, а смиренним дає благода́ть!“
You younger men must submit to the presbyters; and all of you must put on the garment of humility and serve one another, for God resists the haughty, But gives grace to the humble.
6 Тож покоріться під міцну́ Божу руку, щоб Він вас Свого ча́су пови́щив.
So humble yourselves under God’s mighty hand, so that he may exalt you in due time.
7 Покладіть на Нього всю вашу журбу́, бо Він опікується вами!
Cast all your care upon him, for he ever cares for you.
8 Будьте твере́зі, пильнуйте! Ваш супроти́вник — диявол — ходить, ричучи́, як лев, що шукає пожерти кого́.
Be temperate, be vigilant; because your enemy, the devil, is prowling about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
9 Противтесь йому́, тверді в вірі, знавши, що ті самі му́ки трапляються й вашому братству по світу.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, knowing well that the same afflictions are being accomplished in your brothers that are in the world.
10 А Бог усякої благодаті, що покликав вас до вічної слави Своєї в Христі, нехай Сам удоскона́лить вас, хто трохи поте́рпів, хай упе́внить, зміцни́ть, уґрунтує. (aiōnios g166)
But the God of all grace, who has called us by Christ Jesus to share his eternal glory, will, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (aiōnios g166)
His is the dominion forever and ever; Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Я коротко вам написав через Силуя́на, як гада́ю — вірного брата. Закликаю та свідчу, що це Божа благода́ть правдива, що ви в ній стоїте́.
By Sylvanus, a faithful brother of yours, as I suppose, I have written you briefly, to comfort you, and to testify that this is the true grace of God. In this stand fast.
13 Вітає вас ра́зом ви́брана Церква в Вавилоні, і Ма́рко, мій син.
Your sister church in Babylon, elect with you, sends you salutations, and so does Marcus, my son.
14 Вітайте один о́дного поцілунком любови. Мир вам усім у Христі! Амінь.
Salute one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ Jesus.
