1 І був цар Соломон царем над усім Ізраїлем.
So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 А оце його провідники́: Азарія, Садоків син, священик.
And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3 Еліхореф та Ахійя, сини Шіші, писарі. Йосафа́т, син Ахілудів, канцлер.
Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4 А Бена́я, Єгоядин син, — над військом, а Садо́к та Евіятар — священики.
And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5 А Азарія, Натанів син, — над намісниками, а Завуд, син Натанів — священик, товариш царів.
And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
6 А Ахішар — над домом, а Адонірам, Авдин син — над даниною.
And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the forced labour.
7 А в Соломона було дванадцять намісників над усім Ізраїлем, і вони годували царя та дім його, — місяць на рік був на одно́го на годува́ння.
And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8 А оце їхні імена: Бен-Гур — в Єфремових гора́х,
And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9 Бен-Декер — у Макаці, і в Шаалевімі, і в Бет-Шемеші, і в Елоні Бет-Ганану.
The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:
10 Бен-Гесед — в Арубботі, йому належали: Сохо та ввесь край Хеферу.
The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
11 Бен-Авінадав — уся околиця Дору; Тафат, Соломонова дочка́, була йому за жінку.
The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; who had Taphath the daughter of Solomon for a wife:
12 Баана, Ахілудів син — Таанах і Меґіддо та ввесь Бет-Шеан, що при Цартані, нижче Їзреелу, від Бет-Шеану аж до Авел-Мехола, аж до того боку Йокмеаму.
Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even to the place that is beyond Jokneam:
13 Бен-Ґевер — у ґілеадському Рамоті, йому належали: оселі Яїра, сина Манасії, що в Ґілеаді, йому околиця Арґову, що в Башані, — шістдеся́т міст великих, із муром та з мідя́ним засу́вом.
The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brasen bars:
14 Ахінадав, син Іддо — в Маханаїмі.
Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
15 Ахіма́ац — в Нефталимі; також він узяв Босмат, Соломонову дочку́, за жінку.
Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon for a wife:
16 Баана, Хушаїв син, в Асирі та в Бе-Алоті.
Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17 Йосафа́т, Паруахів син, в Іссахарі.
Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18 Шім'ї, Елин син, — у Веніямині.
Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19 Ґевер, — син Уріїв, — у ґілеадському кра́ї, у кра́ї Сигона, царя аморейського, та Оґа, царя башанського. А один намісник, що в усьому Кра́ї.
Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer who was in the land.
20 Юда та Ізраїль були числе́нні, як пісок, що над морем, щодо многоти́. Вони їли й пили та тішилися!
Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21 А Соломон панував над усіма́ царствами від Річки аж до филистимського кра́ю та аж до границі Єгипту. Вони прино́сили дари та служили Соломонові по всі дні його життя.
And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 І була́ Соломонова пожива на один день: тридцять ко́рів пшеничної муки, а шістдесят ко́рів іншої муки.
And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,
23 Десятеро з великої ситої худоби, і двадцятеро з худоби великої з паші та сотня худоби дрібно́ї, окрім о́леня, і са́рни, і антило́пи та ситих гусо́к.
Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, besides harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowls.
24 Бо він панував по всій цій стороні Річки від Тіфсаху та аж до Аззи́ над усіма́ царями по цей бік Річки. І був у ньо́го мир зо всіх сторін його навко́ло.
For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side of the river: and he had peace on all sides around him.
25 І безпечно сидів Юда та Ізраїль, кожен під своїм виноградником та під своєю фіґою від Дану й аж до Беер-Шеви всі дні Соломона.
And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 І було в Соломона сорок тисяч стійлів для ко́ней колесни́ць його та дванадцять тисяч верхівці́в.
And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 І годували ці намісники царя Соломона та кожного, хто прихо́див до сто́лу царя Соломона, кожен свій місяць, і не було недостачі ні в чо́му.
And those officers provided food for king Solomon, and for all that came to king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28 А ячме́ню та соломи для ко́ней та для румакі́в спроваджували до місця, де хто був, кожен за постановою для нього.
Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries they brought to the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29 І дав Бог Соломонові дуже багато мудрости та розуму, а широкість серця — як пісок, що на березі моря.
And God gave Solomon great wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 І збільши́лася Соломонова мудрість над мудрість усіх синів сходу та над усю мудрість Єгипту.
And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 І був він мудрі́ший від усякого чоловіка, — від Етана езрахітського, і Гемана, і Калкола та Дарди, Махолових синів. А ім'я́ його було славне серед усіх людей навко́ло.
For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.
32 І він проказав три тисячі при́казок, а пісень його було — тисяча й п'ять.
And he spoke three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 І говорив він про дере́ва, від кедру, що на Лива́ні, й аж до ісо́пу, що росте на стіні. І говорив про худобу, і про пта́ства, і про плазу́юче та про риб.
And he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spoke also of beasts, and of fowls, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 І прихо́дили від усіх народів, щоб послу́хати Соломонову мудрість, від усіх царів кра́ю, що чули про мудрість його.
And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
