1 Після ж вечора субітнього, як почало свитати в одну із субіт, прийшла Мария Магдалина та друга Мария подивитись на гріб.
And after the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the sepulcher.
2 І ось трус великий став ся, ангел бо Господень, зійшовши з неба, прийшов, відкотив камінь від дверей, і сів на нїм.
And behold, there had been a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord having descended from heaven, came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 Був же вид його як блискавиця, й одежа його біла як снїг.
His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment was white as snow.
4 Од страху ж його затрусились ті, що стерегли його, й стали наче мертві.
From fear of him the keepers did shake and become like dead men.
5 Озвав ся ж ангел і рече до жінок: Не лякайтесь, знаю бо, що Ісуса рознятого шукаєте.
But the angel answered and said to the women: Fear not; for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified.
6 Нема Його тут; устав бо, як казав: Ідїть подивить ся на місце, де лежав Господь.
He is not here; for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 І хутко вертайтесь і скажіть ученикам Його, що встав із мертвих, і ось попередить вас у Галилею; там Його побачите: Ось я вам сказав.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples, that he has risen from the dead: and behold, he goes before you into Galilee. There you shall see him. Lo, I have told you.
8 І, вийшовши хутко від гробу із страхом і великою радостю, побігли сповістити учеників Його.
And they went out quickly from the sepulcher, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
9 Як же йшли вони сповіщати учеників Його, аж ось Ісус зустрів їх, глагодючи: Радуйте ся: Вони ж, приступивши, обняли ноги Його, й поклонились Йому.
And as they were going to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying: Hail! And they came and laid hold of his feet, and worshiped him.
10 Тоді рече до них Ісус: Не лякайтесь; ійдїть сповістїть братів моїх, щоб ійшли в Галилею; і там мене побачять.
Then Jesus said to them: Fear not; go, tell my brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.
11 Як же йшли вони, аж ось деякі з сторожі, прийшовши в город, сповістили архиєреїв про все, що сталось.
While they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and told the chief priests all things that were done.
12 І, зібравшись вони з старшими й зробивши раду, дали доволі срібняків воїнам,
And when they came together with the elders, they held a consultation, and gave much money to the soldiers,
13 говорячи: Кажіть, що ученики Його в ночі прийшовши вкрали Його, як ми спали.
saying: Say that his disciples came by night and stole him away, while we were asleep.
14 І як дочуєть ся про се ігемон, ми вговоримо його, й вас безпечними зробимо.
And if this shall be heard in the presence of the governor, we will persuade him, and make you secure.
15 Вони ж, узявши срібняки, зробили, як їх навчено; й рознеслось слово се у Жидів аж до сього дня,
And they took the money, and did as they were taught. And their report of this matter is everywhere published among the Jews to this day.
16 Одинайцять же учеників пійшли в Гадилею, на гору, куди повелів їм Ісус.
And the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into the mountain, where Jesus had appointed to meet them.
17 І, побачивши Його, поклонились Йому; инші ж сумнились.
And when they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
18 І, приступивши Ісус, промовив до них, глаголючи: Дана мені всяка власть на небі й на землі.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying: All authority in heaven and on earth is given to me.
19 Ійдїть же навчайте всї народи, хрестячи їх в імя Отця, і Сина, й сьвятого Духа,
Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations, immersing them (the disciples) into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
