Від Марка 9
1 І рече їм: Істино глаголю вам: Що є деякі між стоячими тут, котрі не вкусять смерти, поки побачять царство Боже, що прийде в потузі.
And he said to them: Verily I say to you, There are some of these standing here who shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God come in power.
2 А через шість день бере Ісус Петра, та Якова, та Йоана, й веде їх на гору високу окреме самих; і переобразивсь перед ними.
And after six days, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up alone into a high mountain apart; and he was transfigured before them;
3 І стала одежа Його осяйна, вельми біла мов сніг, якої біляр на землі не може вбілити.
and his raiment became shining, exceeding white like snow, as no fuller on earth could whiten them.
4 І явив ся їм Ілия з Мойсейом, і розмовляли з Ісусом.
And there appeared to them Elijah, with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.
5 І озвавшись Петр, каже до Ісуса: Учителю, добре нам тут бути; зробимо три намети, Тобі один, і Мойсейові один, і Ілиї один.
And Peter answering, said to Jesus: Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tents, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
6 Не знав бо, що казати: були бо полякані.
For he knew not what to say, for they were greatly afraid.
7 І постала хмара отіняюча їх, і вийшов голос із хмари глаголючи: Се Син мій любий; Його слухайте.
And there was a cloud that overshadowed them; and a voice came from the cloud, This is my beloved Son; hear him.
8 І зараз озирнувшись, уже нїкого не бачили, тільки Ісуса одного з собою.
And suddenly looking around, they no longer saw any one but Jesus only with themselves.
9 Як же вони сходили з гори, наказав їм, щоб нікому не казали, що бачили, аж поки Син чоловічий з мертвих воскресне.
And as they were coming down from the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen, till the Son of man should rise from the dead.
10 І задержали вони се слово в себе, перепитуючись, що се єсть: із мертвих воскреснути.
And they kept the matter to themselves, inquiring of one another what the rising from the dead could mean.
11 І питали Його, говорячи: Що се кажуть письменники, що Ілия мусить прийти перше?
And they asked him, saying: Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?
12 Він же, озвавшись, рече їм: Ілия, прийшовши перше, налагодить усе; і як писано про Сина чоловічого, щоб Він багато витерпів і був погорджений.
And he answered and said to them: Elijah comes first, and restores all things, and, as it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be despised, so Elijah is to suffer.
13 Тільки ж глаголю вам: Що Ілия прийшов, і зробили йому, що схотіли, як писано про него.
But I say to you, that Elijah has already come, and they have clone to him what they wished: [as it is written of him.]
14 І, прийшовши до учеників, побачив багато народу кругом них, і письменників, що перепитують ся з ними.
And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and scribes disputing with them.
15 І зараз увесь народ, побачивши Його, вельми сполохнув ся, і прибігаючи витали Його.
And at once, all the multitude, on seeing him, were struck with awe, and ran to him and saluted him.
16 І питав Він письменників: Про що ви перепитуєте ся з ними?
And he asked the scribes: Why are you disputing with, them?
17 І озвавшись один з народу, каже: Учителю, призів я сина мого до тебе, що має духа нїмого.
And one of the multitude answered and said: Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a dumb spirit.
18 І як схопить його, то рве його, й пінить ся він, і скрегоче зубами своїми, та все сохне. І казав я ученикам твоїм, щоб його вигнали, та не здолїли.
And wherever it seizes him, it throws him into convulsions; and he foams, and gnashes with his teeth, and pines away: and I spoke to your disciples to cast him out, and they were not able.
19 Він же, озвавшись, рече йому: О кодло невірне! доки в вас буду? доки терпіти му вас? Приведіть його до мене.
And he answered them, and said: O faithless generation! how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.
20 І привели його до Него. І, побачивши Його, зараз дух затряс ним; і впавши той на землю, качав ся запінившись.
And they brought him to him. And when he saw him, the spirit immediately threw him into convulsions; and he fell on the ground, and rolled himself, foaming.
21 І спитав батька його: З якого се часу, що так сталось йому? Він же казав: З малку.
And he asked his father: How long is it since this came upon him? He replied: From childhood.
22 І почасту в огонь кидав його і в воду, щоб погубити його. Тільки ж, коли що зможеш, поможи нам, змилосердившись над нами.
And often it throws him into the fire, and into the water, to destroy him. But if you are able to do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Ісус же рече йому: Коли можеш у те вірувати, то все можливе віруючому.
Jesus said to him: If you are able to believe, all things are possible to him that believes.
24 І зараз, заголосивши, батько хлопчика, каже кріз сльози: Вірую, Господи; поможи моєму недовірству.
And immediately the father of the child cried out, and with tears said: Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.
25 Бачивши ж Ісус, що збігаєть ся народ, погрозив духові нечистому, глаголючи йому: Душе нїмий і глухий, я тобі повеліваю, вийди з него й більш не входь в него.
When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, and said to it: Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter into him no more.
26 І закричавши, й вельми потрясши ним, вийшов; і став наче мертвий; так що многі казали: Що вмер.
And the spirit cried out, and threw him into strong convulsions, and came out of him; and he was like one dead, so that many said: He is dead.
27 Ісус же, взявши його за руку, підвів його; й він устав.
But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up, and he arose.
28 І, як увіходив у господу, ученики Його питали Його окреме: Чому ми не змогли вигнати його.
And when he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately: Why were we not able to cast it out?
29 І рече їм: Се кодло нічим не може вийти, тільки молитвою та постом.
And he said to them: This kind can go out by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
30 І, вийшовши звідтіля, переходили через Галилею, і не хотів, щоб хто знав.
And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he wished no one to know it.
31 Навчав бо учеників своїх, і глаголав їм; Що Син чоловічий буде виданий у руки чоловічі, і вбють Його, і вбитий, Він третього дня воскресне.
For he taught his disciples, and said to them: The Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will put him to death; and after he is put to death, he will rise on the third day.
32 Вони ж не розуміли слова, й боялись Його спитати.
But they did not understand this saying, and they were afraid to question him.
33 І прийшов у Капернаум, і, бувши в господі, спитав їх: Про що ви дорогою між собою міркували?
And he came into Capernaum; and when he was in the house, he asked them: What were you disputing about among yourselves along the road?
34 Вони ж мовчали; перемовлялись бо між собою в дорозї, хто більший.
But they were silent. For they had been disputing with one another along the road which was greatest.
35 І сївши, призвав дванайцятьох, і рече їм: Коли хто хоче першим бути, нехай буде з усіх останнім і всїм слугою.
And he sat down and called the twelve, and said to them: If any one desires to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.
36 І, взявши дитину, поставив її серед них, і обнявши її, рече їм-
And he took a little child, and placed it in the midst of them; and when he had taken it in his arms, he said to them:
37 Хто одно з таких дітей прийме в імя мов, мене приймав; а хто мене приймає, не мене приймає, а пославшого мене.
Whoever will receive one of such children on my account, receives me; and whoever will receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.
38 Озвавсь до Него Йоан, говорячи: Учителю, бачили ми одного, що імям Твоїм виганяв біси, а не ходить слїдом за нами, й заборонили йому; бо не ходить слідом за нами.
And John answered him and said: Teacher, we saw one casting out demons in thy name, and he does not follow us: and we forbade him, because he does not follow us.
39 Ісусже рече: Не бороніть йому, нема бо такого, що зробить чудо в імя моє, і зможе скоро злословити мене.
But Jesus said: Forbid him not; for there is no one that will do a mighty deed in my name, and be able readily to speak evil of me.
40 Хто бо не проти вас, той за вас.
For he that is not against us, is for us.
41 Хто бо напоїть вас чашею води в імя моє, що ви Христові, істино глаголю вам: не втеряє нагороди своєї.
For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink on this account, because you are Christ’s, verily I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.
42 Та хто зблазннть одного з малих віруючих у мене, лучче йому, коли б почеплено жорно млинове на шию йому, та й укинуто в море.
And whoever will ensnare one of these little ones that believe on me, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.
43 І коли бдазнить тебе рука твоя, відотнй її; лучче тобі калікою в життє ввійти, нїж, дві руці мавши, пійти в пекло, в огонь невгасаючий, (Geenna g1067)
And if your hand ensnare you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter maimed into life, than having two hands to go away into hell, into the fire that is not quenched, (Geenna g1067)
44 де червяк їх не вмирає, й огонь не вгасає.
where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 І коли нога твоя блазнить тебе, відотнй її; лучче тобі ввійти в життє кривим, нїж дві нозі мавши, бути вкинутим у пекло, в огонь невгасаючий, (Geenna g1067)
And if your foot ensnare you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter into life lame, than having two feet to Be thrown into hell, into the fire that is not quenched, (Geenna g1067)
46 де червяк їх не вмирає й огонь не вгасає.
where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 І коли око твоє блазнить тебе, вирви його; лучче тобі однооким увійти в царство Боже, ніж, дві оці мавши, бути вкинутим ув огняне пекло, (Geenna g1067)
And if your eye ensnare you, pull it out: it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be thrown into hell-fire, (Geenna g1067)
48 де червяв їх не вмирає, й огонь не вгасає.
where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.
49 Кожен бо огнем посолить ся, і кожна жертва сіллю посолить ся.
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be seasoned with salt.
50 Добро сіль; коли ж сіль несолона стане, то чим солити Ті? Майте в собі сіль, і майте впокій між собою.
Salt is good; but if the salt shall have become saltless, by what means will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.
