2 Тимофію 4

1 Оце ж сьвідкую перед Богом і Господом нашим Ісусом Христом, що мав судити живих і мертвих в явленнї Його і царстві Його:

I charge you, therefore, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom,

2 проповідуй слово, настоюй в час і не в час, докоряй, погрожуй, благай з усяким довтотерпіннєм і наукою.

preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and teaching.

3 Буде бо час, що здорової науки не послухають, а по своїх похотях виберуть собі учителїв, ласкані (од них) слухом,

For the time will come when they will not endure sound teaching, but according to their own desires they will procure for themselves an abundance of teachers to gratify their itching ears:

4 і від правди слух одвернуть, а до байок прихилять ся.

and they will turn away their ears from the truth, and be turned to fables.

5 Ти ж тверезись у всьому, терпи лихо, роби дїло благовісника, службу твою знаною вчини.

But do you be watchful in all things, endure evil, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry?

6 Мене бо вже на жертву наготовлено, і час мого відходу настав.

For I am now ready to be poured out, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7 Боротьбою доброю я боров ся, дорогу скінчив, віри додержав.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith:

8 На останок готовить ся менї вінець правди, котрий оддасть менї Господь того дня, праведний суддя, і не тілько менї, та і всїм, хто полюбив явленнє Його.

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me at that day; and not to me only, but to all those who love his appearing.

9 Старай ся скоро прийти до мене.

Endeavor to come to me shortly;

10 Димас бо мене покинув, полюбивши нинїшнїй вік, та й пійшов у Солунь; Крискент в Галатию, Тит в Далматию; (aiōn g165)

for Demas has forsaken me, having loved the present age; and he has gone to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)

11 Лука один зо мною. Марка взявши приведи з собою, він бо менї потрібен на служеннє.

Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for the ministry.

12 Тихика ж послав я в Єфес.

I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus.

13 Плащ, що зоставив я в Троядї в Карпа, ідучи, принеси, і книги, особливо ж кожані.

When you come, bring the cloak that I left in Troas with Carpus, and the books, especially the parchments.

14 Александер котляр наробив менї багато лиха; нехай оддасть йому Господь по ділам його,

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord repay him according to his works.

15 котрого й ти остерегайсь, вельми бо противить ся словам нашим.

Do you, also, beware of him, for he has greatly withstood our words.

16 У перве моє одвітуваннє нїкого не було зо мною, а всї мене покинули; нехай не полічить ся їм.

At my first defense no one stood by me, but all forsook me; may it not be laid to their charge:

17 Господь же став передо мною і окрепив мене, щоб проповідаве від мене знане було, і щоб почули всї погане; і збавивсь я з пащи левиної.

but the Lord stood by me, and gave me strength, that through me that which is preached might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

18 І визволить мене Господь від усякого дїла лукавого, спасе про царство своє небесне; Йому ж слава по віки вічні. Амінь. (aiōn g165)

And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and bring me safe to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory from age to age. Amen. (aiōn g165)

19 Витай Прискилу і Аквилу і Онисифорів дім.

Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.

20 Ераст зоставсь у Коринтї, а Трофима зоставив я в Милетї недужного.

Erastus remained at Corinth. I left Trophimus sick at Miletus.

21 Старайсь до зими прийти. Витають тебе Єввул, і Пуд, і Лин, і Клавдия, і все браттє.

Endeavor to come to me before winter. Eubulus and Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brethren salute you.

22 Господь Ісус Христос із духом твоїм. Благодать з вами. Амінь.

The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you all. Amen.
