2 Тимофію 2
1 Ти ж, сину мій, кріпшай у благодаті, що в Христї Ісусї,
Therefore, my child, be thou filled up with dynamite in the grace which is in Christ Jesus,
2 і, що чув єси від мене перед многими сьвідками, те передай вірним людям, котрі способні будуть і инших навчати.
and whatsoever things thou hast heard with me through many witnesses, commit thou the same to faithful men, who will be able also to teach others.
3 Ти ж терпи лихо, яко добрий воїн Ісуса Христа.
Suffer affliction, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 Нїхто ж, воїном бувши, не мішаєть ся в справи життя (сього), щоб угодити тому, хто вибрав його воїном.
No one operating as a soldier is entangled with the affairs of life; in order that he may please his commander.
5 Хоч же хто й бореть ся, не заслужить вінця, коли не законно бороти меть ся.
But if indeed any one may fight, he is not crowned unless he may fight lawfully.
6 Трудящому ратаєві перш подобає овощу скоштувати.
It behooves the toiling farmer first to partake of the fruits.
7 Зрозумій, що глаголю; а Господь нехай дасть тобі розум у всьому.
Know what I say; for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.
8 Поминай Господа Ісуса Христа, що встав із мертвих, з насїння Давидового, по благовістю моєму,
Remember Jesus Christ, who is risen from the dead, from the seed of David, according to my gospel:
9 в Йому ж терплю лихо аж до кайдан, як лиходій, та слова Божого не скувати.
in whom I suffer affliction as an evil-doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Тим усе терплю ради вибраних, щоб і вони осягли спасеннє, що в Христї Ісусї з вічньою славою. (aiōnios g166)
On account of this I endure all things for the sake of the elect, in order that they may also have the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (aiōnios g166)
11 Вірне слово: коли бо ми з Ним умерли, то з Ним і жити мем.
It is a faithful saying: For if we die along with him, we will also live with him:
12 Коли терпимо, з Ним і царювати мем; коли відцураємось, і Він відцураєть ся нас.
if we endure, we will truly reign with him: if we shall deny him, he will also deny us:
13 Коли не віруємо, Він вірним пробував, відректись бо себе не може.
if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful; for he is not able to deny himself.
14 Про се нагадуй, сьвідкуючи перед Господом не перечитись; нЇ на що воно не потрібне, (тілько) на руїну тих, що слухають.
Remember these things, testifying before God, that they shall not fight with words, profitable unto nothing, for the overturning of those who hear.
15 Старай ся поставити себе вірним перед Богом, робітником без докору, право правлючим слово правди.
Study to present yourself to God approved, a workman not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 Від скверного марнословия оддаляй ся; більше бо та більш (такі) розводять безбожність,
But reject the unsanctified empty talks: for they will proceed unto more of ungodliness,
17 і слово їх, як гангрена (рак), мати ме жир. З таких Гименей і Филит,
and their word like gangrene will have eating. Of whom are Hymenaeus and Phyletus;
18 котрі проти правди согрішили, говорячи, що воскресеннє вже було, і перевертають деяких віру.
who have made shipwreck concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection has already come, and they overturn the faith of some.
19 Твердо ж основина Божа стоїть, маючи печать таку: Познав Господь своїх, і: Нехай відступить од неправди всяк, хто іменує імя Христове.
The foundation of God stands solid indeed, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his: and; Let every one naming the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.
20 У великому ж домі не тілько посуд золотий та срібний, а й деревяний і глиняний; і инші на честь, а инші на нечесть.
But in a great house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also wood and stone, the former truly indeed unto honor, but the latter unto dishonor.
21 Оце ж, коли хто очистить себе від сього, буде посудиною на честь, осьвяченою і потрібною владиці, на всяке дїло добре наготовленою.
Therefore if any one may cleanse himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, having been sanctified, well pleasing to the Lord, having been prepared unto every good work.
22 Від похотей молодечих утїкай; побивай ся ж за правдою, вірою, любовю, миром з тими, що призивають Господа чистим серцем.
But fly from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, divine love, peace, with those who call upon the Lord out of a clean heart.
23 Від дурного ж і невченого змагання вхиляй ся, знаючи, що воно родить сварки.
But reject foolish and undisciplinary questions, knowing that they gender strife.
24 Слуга ж Господень не повинен сваритись, а бути тпхим до всїх, навчаючим, незлобним,
But it does not behoove the servant of the Lord to strive, but to be gentle toward all, competent to teach, enduring evil,
25 щоб нагідно навчав противних, чи не дасть їм Бог покаяння на зрозуміннє правди,
in meekness correcting the adversaries; if peradventure God may grant unto them repentance into the perfect knowledge of the truth,
26 і виплутають ся з дияволських тенет, що живими вловлені від нього у його волю.
and they may escape from the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him (the Lord's servant) according to his will.
