Псалми 94
1 О Боже помсти, Господи, Боже помсти, з’яви Себе!
O LORD, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth.
2 Піднімися, Судде землі, віддай гордим по заслугам!
Lift up Thyself, Thou Judge of the earth; render to the proud their recompense.
3 Аж доки нечестиві, Господи, доки нечестиві торжествувати будуть?
LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult?
4 Вивергають, промовляють вони пиху, нахваляються всі, хто чинить гріх.
They gush out, they speak arrogancy; all the workers of iniquity bear themselves loftily.
5 Народ Твій, Господи, вони вражають ударами й пригнічують Твій спадок.
They crush Thy people, O LORD, and afflict Thy heritage.
6 Вдову й приходька вбивають, сироту гублять
They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
7 кажучи: «Не бачить Господь, і не вникає [в це] Бог Якова».
And they say: 'The LORD will not see, neither will the God of Jacob give heed.'
8 Схаменіться, невігласи серед народу! Коли ви станете розумнішими, безумці?
Consider, ye brutish among the people; and ye fools, when will ye understand?
9 Той, Хто насадив вухо, хіба не почує? Чи Той, Хто око створив, не побачить?
He that planted the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see?
10 Той, Хто народи карає, хіба не докорить? Той, Хто сам людині дає знання?
He that instructeth nations, shall not He correct? even He that teacheth man knowledge?
11 Господь знає думки людини, що вони – марнота.
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12 Блаженний муж, якого Ти наставляєш, Господи, і Законом Твоїм навчаєш його,
Happy is the man whom Thou instructest, O LORD, and teachest out of Thy law;
13 щоб заспокоїти його у дні лиха, поки буде викопана яма нечестивому!
That Thou mayest give him rest from the days of evil, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14 Адже не покине Господь народу Свого й спадку Свого не полишить.
For the LORD will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance.
15 Суд знову стане справедливим, і підуть услід за ним усі, праведні серцем.
For right shall return unto justice, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16 Хто стане за мене проти злодіїв? Хто стоятиме за мене проти тих, що чинять гріх?
Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Якби Господь не був допомогою моєю, то оселилася б душа моя в [країні] мовчання.
Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had soon dwelt in silence.
18 Коли сказав я: «Хитається нога моя», милість Твоя, Господи, підтримала мене.
If I say: 'My foot slippeth', Thy mercy, O LORD, holdeth me up.
19 Коли тривожні думки множаться в нутрі моєму, Твоя втіха збадьорює мою душу.
When my cares are many within me, Thy comforts delight my soul.
20 Хіба може мати щось спільне з Тобою престол загибелі, що діє всупереч постанові [Закону]?
Shall the seat of wickedness have fellowship with Thee, which frameth mischief by statute?
21 Натовпом тиснуть вони на душу праведника, і кров невинну засуджують [на страту].
They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.
22 Але Господь став моєю твердинею, і Бог мій – скеля мого притулку.
But the LORD hath been my high tower, and my God the rock of my refuge.
23 Він поверне проти них їхні власні гріхи і їхніми ж злодійствами знищить їх; знищить їх Господь, Бог наш.
And He hath brought upon them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil; the LORD our God will cut them off.
