Псалми 48
1 Пісня. Псалом синів Кореєвих. Великий Господь і прославлений вельми у місті нашого Бога, на Своїй святій горі.
A Song. A Psalm by the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
2 Краса невимовна, радість усієї землі – гора Сіон на північних околицях, місто великого Царя.
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the north sides, the city of the great King.
3 Бог перебуває в її палацах, Він знаний як твердиня.
God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge.
4 Ось царі зібралися, пішли разом [проти нас]
For, behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together.
5 та, побачивши таку [святість], здивувалися, збентежилися, пустилися навтіки.
They saw it, then they were amazed. They were dismayed. They hurried away.
6 Трепет охопив їх там, мука, як у породіллі.
Trembling took hold of them there, pain, as of a woman in travail.
7 Східним вітром розбив Ти кораблі Таршишу.
With the east wind, you break the ships of Tarshish.
8 Про що ми чули раніше, те й побачили у місті Господа Воїнств, місті Бога нашого: Бог утверджує його навіки. (Села)
As we have heard, so we have seen, in the city of the LORD of Armies, in the city of our God. God will establish it forever. (Selah)
9 Ми роздумували, Боже, про милість Твою всередині Твого Храму.
We have thought about your loving kindness, God, in the middle of your temple.
10 Як ім’я Твоє, Боже, так і хвала Твоя – до самого краю землі! Твоя правиця сповнена правди.
As is your name, God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness.
11 Радіє гора Сіон, веселяться доньки Юдеї через Твоє правосуддя.
Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments.
12 Обійдіть навколо Сіон, порахуйте його вежі.
Walk about Zion, and go around her. Number its towers.
13 уважно розгляньте його укріплення, пройдіть між палацами, щоб [потім] ви розповіли наступному поколінню.
Notice her bulwarks. Consider her palaces, that you may tell it to the next generation.
14 Адже це – Бог, наш Бог на віки вічні! Він вестиме нас аж до смерті.
For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death.
