Псалми 16
1 Міхтам Давидів. Бережи мене, Боже, адже на Тебе я надію покладаю!
Preserve me, O El: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 Сказав я Господеві: «Ти мій Володар, немає в мене іншого блага, окрім Тебе».
O my soul, thou hast said unto YHWH, Thou art YHWH: my virtue is not without thee;
3 [Також] до святих, що на землі, і до шляхетних – до них моє бажання.
But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4 Нехай же численні скорботи спіткають тих, хто іншим [богам] прагне служити. Я не литиму їм крові жертовних виливань, не згадуватиму імен тих [богів] моїми вустами.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another elohim: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
5 [Лише]Господь – наділений мені спадок і мій келих; Ти тримаєш мій жереб.
YHWH is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 Межі мого [наділу] пролягли через приємні місця – так, гарний спадок для мене!
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 Благословлю я Господа, Який дає мені поради, навіть уночі моє нутро наставляє мене.
I will bless YHWH, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 В уяві своїй завжди я бачу перед собою Господа, адже Він по правиці моїй, щоб я не похитнувся.
I have set YHWH always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Тому радіє серце моє й веселиться слава моя, також тіло моє перебуватиме в безпеці,
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 бо не залишиш Ти душі моєї в царстві мертвих, не дозволиш вірному Твоєму побачити тління. (Sheol h7585)
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
11 Ти стежку життя мені показуєш; наповнив мене радощами перед обличчям Твоїм, насолодою по правиці Твоїй навіки.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
