Псалми 149

1 Алілуя! Співайте Господеві нову пісню, хвалу Йому віддайте у зібранні вірних.

Praise ye the LORD! Sing unto the LORD a new song; His praise in the assembly of the godly!

2 Нехай радіє Ізраїль своїм Творцем, сини Сіона нехай веселяться Царем своїм.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him; Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their king!

3 Хваліть ім’я Його в хороводі, співайте Йому з арфою й бубном,

Let them praise his name in the dance; Let them praise him with the timbrel and harp!

4 бо вподобав Господь народ Свій, прикрашає смиренних спасінням.

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people; He will beautify the distressed with salvation.

5 Нехай вірні веселяться у славі, радіють на своїх ложах.

Let the godly-rejoice in their glory; Let them shout for joy upon their beds!

6 Богові хвала піднесена на вустах у них і меч обосічний у їхній руці,

Let the praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,

7 щоб вчинити помсту народам, [здійснити] покарання над племенами,

To execute vengeance upon the nations, And punishment upon the peoples!

8 щоб зв’язати царів їхніх кайданами й вельмож їхніх – залізними ланцюгами,

To bind their kings with chains. And their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 щоб звершити над ними записаний вирок. Така честь належить усім вірним Йому. Алілуя!

To execute upon them the sentence which is written: This honor have all his godly ones. Praise ye the LORD!
