1 Nkɔmhyɛ: Yei ne Awurade asɛm a ɛfa Israel ho. Awurade a ɔtrɛ ɔsoro mu, deɛ ɔto asase fapem, deɛ ɔyɛ honhom a ɔte onipa mu asɛm nie:
An oracle. The word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Jehovah, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:
2 “Merebɛyɛ Yerusalem kuruwa a ɛbɛma aman a atwa ne ho ahyia no atɔ ntintan. Wɔbɛto ahyɛ Yuda ne Yerusalem so.
"Look, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples, and on Judah also will it be in the siege against Jerusalem.
3 Saa ɛda no a ewiase aman nyinaa aboa wɔn ho ano retia no no, mɛma Yerusalem ayɛ ɔbotantim ama aman no nyinaa. Wɔn a wɔbɛpɛ sɛ wopire no no nyinaa bɛpirapira wɔn ho.
It will happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples. All who burden themselves with it will be severely wounded, and all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against it.
4 Saa ɛda no, mɛma ɔpɔnkɔ biara abɔ huboa, na mɛma ne sotefoɔ nso abɔ dam,” sɛdeɛ Awurade seɛ nie. “Mɛbue mʼani ahwɛ Yuda fie, na mɛfirafira aman ahodoɔ no apɔnkɔ ani.
In that day," says Jehovah, "I will strike every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.
5 Na Yuda ntuanofoɔ bɛka wɔ wɔn akoma mu sɛ, ‘Yerusalemfoɔ yɛ ahoɔdenfoɔ, ɛfiri sɛ Asafo Awurade yɛ wɔn Onyankopɔn.’
The chieftains of Judah will say in their heart, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in Jehovah of hosts their God.'
6 “Saa ɛda no, mɛyɛ Yuda ntuanofoɔ sɛ ogya ayowaa a ɛhyɛ nnyina mu, te sɛ ogyatɛn a ɛrederɛ wɔ wira a wɔaboa ano mu. Wɔbɛhye nnipa a wɔatwa wɔn ho ahyia nyinaa wɔ benkum ne nifa, nanso hwee renka Yerusalem wɔ baabi a ɔwɔ hɔ.
In that day I will make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they will devour all the surrounding peoples, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem will yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem.
7 “Awurade bɛbɔ Yuda atenaeɛ ho ban kane, sɛdeɛ Dawid fie ne wɔn a wɔte Yerusalem animuonyam renkyɛne Yudafoɔ animuonyam.
Jehovah also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem not be magnified above Judah.
8 Saa ɛda no, Awurade bɛbɔ wɔn a wɔte Yerusalem ho ban, deɛ ɔyɛ mmerɛ koraa wɔ wɔn mu no bɛyɛ sɛ Dawid. Na Dawid asefoɔ bɛyɛ sɛ Onyankopɔn, te sɛ Awurade Bɔfoɔ a ɔdi wɔn anim.
In that day Jehovah will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Jehovah before them.
9 Saa ɛda no, mɛhyɛ aseɛ asɛe aman a wɔko tia Yerusalem nyinaa.
It will happen in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of petition; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.
11 Saa ɛda no agyaadwo twerɛ a ɛwɔ Yerusalem no ano bɛyɛ den te sɛ Hadad-Rimon agyaadwo twerɛ wɔ Megido asase tam so.
In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
12 Asase no sofoɔ nyinaa bɛdi awerɛhoɔ, abusua biara ne wɔn yerenom; Dawid fie abusua ne wɔn yerenom, Natan fie abusua ne wɔn yerenom,
The land will mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
13 Lewifie abusua ne wɔn yerenom, Simei abusua ne wɔn yerenom,
the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;
14 ne mmusua a aka no nyinaa ne wɔn yerenom.
all the families who remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
