< Sakaria 11 >

1 Buebue wʼapono, Ao Lebanon, na ogya mmɛhye wo ntweneduro!
Open thy doors, O Lebanon, and the fire shall eat on thy cedars.
2 Twa adwo wo pepeaa, na ntweneduro ahwe ase; wɔasɛe nnua a ɛwɔ animuonyam no! Twa adwo Basan adum; wɔabubu kwaeɛbirentuo no mu nnua no!
Wail, fir-tree; for fallen is the cedar; those that were mighty are despoiled: wail, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the impervious forest is come down.
3 Tie nnwanhwɛfoɔ agyaadwoɔ; wɔasɛe wɔn adidibea frɔmfrɔm no! Tie agyata no mmobom; Yordan ho nkyɛkyerɛ fɛfɛ no asɛe!
[There is] the noise of the wailing of the shepherds; for wasted is their glory: [there is] the noise of the roaring of young lions; for wasted is the pride of the Jordan.
4 Yei ne deɛ Awurade me Onyankopɔn seɛ: “Fa nnwankuo a wɔrebɛku wɔn no kɔ adidibea.
Thus hath said the Lord my God, Feed the flocks [that are destined for] the slaughter;
5 Atɔfoɔ no kunkumm nnwan no na wɔntwe wɔn aso. Wɔn a wɔtɔn nnwan no ka sɛ, ‘Monkamfo Awurade, mayɛ ɔdefoɔ!’ Na nnwan no ahwɛfoɔ no mpo nnya ahummɔborɔ mma wɔn.
Whom their buyers slay, and hold themselves guiltless; and whose sellers say, Blessed be the Lord, for I am rich: and none of whose shepherds have pity on them.
6 Merenhunu asase no so nnipa mmɔbɔ bio,” sɛdeɛ Awurade seɛ nie. “Mede obiara bɛhyɛ ne yɔnko ne ɔhene nsa. Wɔbɛhyɛ asase no so, na merennye obiara mfiri wɔn nsa mu.”
For I will no more have pity on the inhabitants of the land, saith the Lord: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into the hand of his neighbor, and into the hand of his king: and they shall beat down the land, and I will not deliver out of their hand.
7 Enti mede nnwankuo a wɔrekɔkum wɔn no kɔɔ adidibea, ne titire ne wɔn a wɔayɛ mmɔbɔ no. Afei, mefaa poma mmienu, na mefrɛɛ baako Adɔeɛ ɛnna baako nso Nkabom na mede wɔn kɔɔ adidie.
And I had fed the flocks [that were destined for] the slaughter, —indeed, the poorest of the flocks; and I had taken unto me two staves; the one I called Mildness [[No'am]], and the other I called Concord [[Choblim]]: and I fed the flocks.
8 Ɔbosome baako mu, mepamoo nnwanhwɛfoɔ mmiɛnsa no. Nnwankuo no ampɛ me, na wɔmaa me brɛeɛ
And I removed the three shepherds in one month; and my soul was tired of them, and also their soul abhorred me.
9 na mekaa sɛ, “Merenyɛ mo hwɛfoɔ bio. Wɔn a wɔrewu nwu, na wɔn a wɔreyera nso nyera. Na ma wɔn a aka no nso nkyekye wɔn ho wɔn ho nwe.”
Then said I, I will not feed you: what is dying may die; and what is to be lost may be lost; and those that are left may eat every one the flesh of the other.
10 Afei, mefaa me poma a mefrɛ no Adɔeɛ no bubuu mu de sɛee apam a me ne aman no nyinaa ayɛ no.
And I took my staff, namely, Mildness, and cut it to pieces, to annul my covenant which I had made with all the tribes.
11 Wɔsɛee no ɛda no ara, na wɔn a wɔrehunu amane wɔ nnwankuo no mu a na wɔrehwɛ me no hunuu sɛ, ɛyɛ Awurade asɛm.
And when it was annulled on that day, then knew they well, truly the poorest of the flocks that waited for me, that it was the word of the Lord.
12 Na meka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Sɛ ɛbɛyɛ yie a, montua me ka, na sɛ ɛnte saa nso a, momma ɛntena hɔ.” Enti, wɔtuaa dwetɛ mpɔ aduasa maa me.
And I said unto them, If it be good in your eyes, give me my reward; and if not, forbear. So they weighed out as my reward thirty pieces of silver.
13 Na Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, “To ma ɔnwomfoɔ no,” ɛboɔ a ɛsɔ ani a wɔatwa ama me no. Enti, mefaa dwetɛ mpɔ aduasa no, na meto maa ɔnwomfoɔ a ɔwɔ Awurade fie mu no.
And the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the treasurer, the precious price which I am prized at by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them in the house of the Lord unto the treasurer.
14 Afei, mebuu me poma a ɛtɔ so mmienu a wɔfrɛ no Nkabom no mu, de sɛee onuayɛ a ɛda Yuda ne Israel ntam no.
Then I cut in pieces my second staff, namely, Concord, to annul the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
15 Afei, Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, “Fa odwanhwɛfoɔ kwasea no nneɛma no bio.
And the Lord said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
16 Na merebɛma odwanhwɛfoɔ bi asɔre asase no so a ɔrenhwehwɛ deɛ wayera. Ɔrempɛ nnwammaa akyiri ɛkwan, ɔrensa deɛ wapira yadeɛ, ɔremma deɛ ɔwɔ ahoɔden aduane, na mmom, ɔbɛwe nnwan a wadɔre no nam, na watwitwa wɔn tɔte.
For, lo, I raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not think of those that are lost, nor seek for that which is gone astray, nor heal that which hath [a limb] broken; who will not care for that which hath stood still; but who will eat the flesh of the fat, and devour all even to their claws.
17 “Nnome nka odwanhwɛfoɔ a ne ho nni mfasoɔ, na ɔdwane gya nnwankuo no! Akofena ntwa nʼabasa, ne nʼani nifa. Nʼabasa no nwu koraa, na nʼani nifa no mfira koraa!”
Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall utterly wither, and his right eye shall be completely blinded.
