< Romafoɔ 14 >

1 Sɛ obi gyidie sua wɔ mo mu a, monnye no; mo ne no nnnye deɛ nʼadwene kyerɛ no no ho akyinnyeɛ.
HIM that is weak in faith take by the hand, and enter not into niceties of disputes.
One man indeed thinketh he may eat all meats; another, who is weak, eateth vegetables.
3 Ɛnsɛ sɛ deɛ ɔdi biribiara no bu deɛ ɔnni biribiara no animtia; saa ara nso na ɛnsɛ sɛ obi a ɔdi afuomduane nko ara no bu deɛ ɔdi biribiara no atɛn; ɛfiri sɛ, Onyankopɔn agye no.
Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not, and let not him that eateth not judge him that eateth; for God hath accepted him.
4 Wo ne hwan a wobu obi ɔsomfoɔ atɛn?
Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? To his own master he standeth or falleth; but he shall be established: for God is able to establish him.
5 Obi dwene sɛ da bi wɔ hɔ a ɛho hia sene nna a aka no. Saa ara nso na onipa foforɔ nso dwene sɛ nna nyinaa yɛ pɛ. Ɛsɛ sɛ wɔn mu biara si nʼadwene pi.
One man judgeth one day different from another day: another judgeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 Obiara a ɔbɛbu da bi kɛseɛ no yɛ saa de hyɛ Awurade animuonyam; obiara a ɔwe nam no we wɔ Awurade din mu, ɛfiri sɛ ɔda Onyankopɔn ase; saa ara na wɔn a wɔnwe nso yɛ saa wɔ Awurade din mu de da Onyankopɔn ase.
He that observeth a day, to the Lord he observeth it; and he that observeth not a day, to the Lord he doth not observe it. He that eateth, to the Lord he eateth, for he giveth thanks to God; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth thanks to God.
7 Yɛn mu biara nte ase mma ne nko ara ho na obiara nwu mma ne nko ara ho;
For no one of us liveth to himself, and no one dieth to himself.
8 sɛ yɛte ase a yɛte ase ma Awurade; na sɛ yɛwu a, yɛwu ma Awurade. Enti, sɛ yɛte ase o, yɛwu o, yɛyɛ Awurade deɛ.
For whether we live, to the Lord we live, and whether we die, to the Lord we die; whether therefore we live, or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.
For to this end Christ both died, and rose again, and revived, that he might be the Lord both of the dead and of the living.
10 Na wo, afei, adɛn enti na wobu wo nua atɛn? Na wo, adɛn enti na wobu wo nua animtia? Yɛn nyinaa bɛgyina Onyankopɔn anim ama wabu yɛn atɛn.
But thou, why judgest thou thy brother? And thou, why dost thou disparage thy brother? for we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ.
11 Ɛfiri sɛ, Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “‘Awurade ka sɛ, mete ase yi, obiara bɛbu nkotodwe wɔ mʼanim; na obiara bɛpae mu aka sɛ, mene Onyankopɔn.’”
For it is written, “As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall make confession to God.”
Assuredly then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God.
13 Ɛno enti, momma yɛnnyae yɛn ho yɛn ho atemmuo. Mmom, deɛ ɛsɛ sɛ modwene ne sɛ, monnyɛ biribiara a ɛbɛma mo nua akɔ bɔne mu.
Let us therefore no more judge one another; but judge this rather, that no one put a stumbling-block or offence before his brother.
14 Ahotɔsoɔ a mewɔ wɔ mʼAwurade Yesu mu no ma mehunu sɛ biribiara nni hɔ a ɛho nte. Na sɛ obi gye di sɛ biribiara ho nte a, na saa onipa no na ɛho nte mma no.
I know, and am convinced by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who thinketh any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 Sɛ biribiara a wodi ha wo nua a, ɛnneɛ na wonte hɔ ɔdɔ mu. Mma aduane a wodi no nsɛe onipa a ne enti Kristo wuiɛ no.
But if by meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no more according to love. Do not by thy meat destroy him for whom Christ died.
16 Mma adeɛ a wobu sɛ ɛyɛ no nnye din bɔne.
Let not therefore food, which is good for you, give occasion of reproach.
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 Obiara a ɔsom Kristo saa ɛkwan yi so no, Onyankopɔn agye no ato mu, na nnipa bu no.
For he who in these things is the servant of Christ, is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Ɛno enti, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛtumi tena asomdwoeɛ mu, na yɛboaboa yɛn ho yɛn ho ma obiara nya gyidie a emu yɛ den.
Well then, let us earnestly pursue the things that conduce to peace, and the things which are for mutual edification.
20 Nnyina aduane so nsɛe deɛ Onyankopɔn ayɛ. Aduane biara yɛ aduane, nanso sɛ wodi aduane a ɛde ɔfoforɔ bɛkɔ bɔne mu a, ɛyɛ bɔne.
For the sake of meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are clean; but it is an evil thing for a man to eat, giving offence.
21 Ade tenenee a ɛsɛ sɛ woyɛ ne sɛ, wonwe ɛnam, nnom nsã anaasɛ wonyɛ biribi a ɛbɛto wo nua suntidua.
It is laudable not to eat flesh, or to drink wine, nor to do any thing whereby thy brother is stumbled, or scandalized, or weakened.
22 Deɛ wogye di wɔ saa asɛm yi ho no, ma ɛnka wo ne Onyankopɔn ntam. Nhyira ne deɛ ɔyɛ nʼapɛdeɛ a ɔnte nka sɛ wɔabu no atɛn.
Hast thou faith, exercise it before God within thyself. Blessed is the man who condemneth not himself in that which he alloweth.
23 Na sɛ ne tirim ntene no deɛ ɔdi ho a, sɛ ɔdi a, Onyankopɔn bu no atɛn, ɛfiri sɛ, deɛ ɔyɛ no mfiri gyidie mu. Biribiara a ɛmfiri gyidie mu no nso yɛ bɔne.
But he that maketh a difference between meats, if he eat is condemned, because he doth it not by faith: for every thing which is not of faith, is sin.
