< Romafoɔ 10 >

1 Anuanom, deɛ mʼakoma pere hwehwɛ yɛ me mpaeɛ a mebɔ srɛ Onyankopɔn ma Israelfoɔ sɛ wɔbɛnya nkwagyeɛ.
Brethren, the desire of my heart and my prayer to God for them is, that they may be saved.
2 Mɛtumi madi wɔn ho adanseɛ sɛ wɔyɛ nnipa a wɔde mmɔdemmɔ som Onyankopɔn sɛdeɛ ɛsɛ. Nanso, wɔn som no mfiri nimdeɛ mu.
For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3 Wɔammu tenenee a ɛfiri Onyankopɔn no, na mmom wɔpɛɛ sɛ wɔfa wɔn ankasa nimdeɛ so. Yei amma wɔamfa wɔn ho anhyɛ Onyankopɔn pɛ a ɔnam so ma onipa wie pɛyɛ no ase.
For being ignorant of the righteousness which is of God, and endeavoring to establish a righteousness of their own, they have not submitted themselves to the righteousness which is of God.
4 Kristo ne mmara no awieeɛ, enti obiara a ɔgye die no bɛyɛ ɔteneneeni.
For Christ is the end of the Law, so that every one that believeth may obtain righteousness.
5 Mose kyerɛɛ sɛ, sɛ onipa di mmara no so a, ɔbɛtumi asɔ Onyankopɔn ani, ɛberɛ a ɔtwerɛeɛ sɛ, “Sɛ obi pɛ sɛ ɔnya nkwa a, ɔnyɛ deɛ mmara no ka no nyinaa.”
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the Law: “The man that hath done these things shall live by them.”
6 Nanso wɔn a wɔn gyidie enti Onyankopɔn agye wɔn no, mma wɔmmisa wɔ wɔn akoma mu sɛ, “Hwan na ɔbɛkɔ ɔsoro akɔfa Kristo aba?”
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh thus: Say not in thy heart, “Who shall ascend into heaven?” that is, to bring Christ down.
7 Ɛnna wɔremmisa nso sɛ, “Hwan na ɔbɛkɔ awufoɔ asase so akɔnyane no aba nkwa mu”? (Abyssos g12)
Or, “Who shall descend into the abyss?” that is, to bring up Christ from the dead. (Abyssos g12)
8 Deɛ Atwerɛsɛm no ka nie, “Onyankopɔn asɛm no abɛn wo, ɛda wʼano na ɛwɔ wʼakoma mu.” Yei ne asɛm a ɛfa gyidie ho a yɛka no.
But what saith it? “The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart;” that is, the word concerning faith, which we preach;
9 Sɛ wopae mu ka sɛ, “Yesu ne Awurade”, na wogye di sɛ Onyankopɔn na ɔnyanee no firii awufoɔ mu a, wɔbɛgye wo nkwa.
for if thou shalt acknowledge with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 Na yɛfiri akoma mu gye di na wɔabu yɛn bem, na yɛde yɛn ano pae mu ka na yɛanya nkwagyeɛ.
For with the heart man believeth so as to obtain righteousness, and with the mouth professeth so as to obtain salvation.
11 Na Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Obiara a ɔde ne ho to no soɔ no, nʼanim rengu ase.”
For the Scripture saith, “Whoever believeth in him shall not be put to shame.”
12 Nsonsonoeɛ biara nni Yudani ne Aman amanmuni ntam. Awurade baako no yɛ Awurade ma wɔn nyinaa na, ɔhyira wɔn a wɔsufrɛ no.
For there is no difference between Jew and Greek; for one and the same is Lord over all, rich to all that call upon him.
13 Sɛdeɛ Atwerɛsɛm no ka sɛ, “Obiara a ɔbɛbɔ Awurade din no bɛnya nkwa.”
For “every one who calleth upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
14 Ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na nnipa bɛnya gyidie wɔ Awurade mu na wɔabisa no nkwagyeɛ? Na ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na wɔate, gye sɛ obi ka kyerɛ wɔn.
How then shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him, of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 Na sɛ wɔansoma wɔn nso a, wɔbɛyɛ dɛn na wɔaka Asɛmpa no? Sɛdeɛ wɔatwerɛ sɛ, “Wɔn a wɔde Asɛmpa no reba no nan yɛ fɛ.”
and how shall men preach, unless they are sent forth? as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
16 Nanso ɛnyɛ wɔn nyinaa na wɔagye Asɛmpa no adi, sɛdeɛ Yesaia kaa sɛ, “Awurade, hwan na wagye yɛn asɛnka adi?”
But they did not all hearken to the glad tidings. For Isaiah saith, “Lord, who hath believed what he hath heard from us?”
17 Ɛnneɛ na gyidie no firi asɛm no tie mu, deɛ yɛte firi Asɛmpa a ɛfa Kristo ho no mu.
Faith then cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 Nanso, mebisa sɛ, Wɔante anaa? Wɔteeɛ: “Wɔn nne akɔduru asase so mmaa nyinaa, na wɔn nsɛm nso akɔduru asase ano.”
But I say, Did they not hear? Yes truly, “Their voice went forth into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
19 Mebisa bio sɛ, Israelfoɔ te aseɛ anaa wɔante aseɛ? Deɛ ɛdi ɛkan, Mose ka sɛ, “Mɛma moatwe aman a wɔnyɛ me ɔman mpo ho ninkunu. Mede ɔman a wɔnni nteaseɛ bɛhyɛ mo abufuo.”
But I say, Hath not Israel had knowledge? First, Moses saith, “I will move you to jealousy by that which is no nation, I will excite you to indignation by a foolish people.”
20 Na Yesaia de akokoɔduru ka sɛ, “Wɔn a wɔnhwehwɛ me no hunuu me; medaa me ho adi kyerɛɛ wɔn a wɔmmisaa mʼase no.”
But Isaiah is very bold, and saith, “I was found by those who sought me not, I became known to those who inquired not for me.”
21 Na deɛ ɔka faa Israelfoɔ ho ne sɛ, “Ɛda mu nyinaa matrɛ me nsa mu ama nnipa a wɔyɛ asoɔden ne nyiyiano.”
But concerning Israel he saith, “All the day long I have stretched out my hands to a disobedient and rebellious people.”
