1 Afei, mehunuu sɛ Odwammaa no ate nsɔano nson no mu deɛ ɛdi ɛkan ano, na metee sɛ ateasefoɔ baanan no mu baako de nne a ɛte sɛ aprannaa reka sɛ, “Bra!”
And I saw, when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as with a voice of thunder—Go!
2 Mehwɛeɛ, na mehunuu ɔpɔnkɔ fitaa bi wɔ hɔ. Na deɛ ɔte ne so no kura agyan na wɔmaa no ahenkyɛ. Ɔkɔeɛ sɛ nkonimdifoɔ kɔdii nkonim.
And I saw, and lo! a white horse, —and he that was sitting thereon holding a bow; and there was given unto him a crown, and he went forth conquering, and that he might conquer.
3 Afei, Odwammaa no tee nsɔano a ɛtɔ so mmienu no ano, na metee sɛ ɔteasefoɔ a ɔtɔ so mmienu no reka sɛ, “Bra!”
And, when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature, saying—Go!
4 Ɔpɔnkɔ foforɔ a ɔyɛ kɔkɔɔ baeɛ. Wɔmaa deɛ ɔte ne so no tumi sɛ ɔmfa ɔko mmra asase so na nnipa nkunkum wɔn ho. Wɔmaa no akofena kɛseɛ bi.
And there went forth another, a red horse, —and, unto him that was sitting thereon, it was given, [unto him], to take away peace from the earth, and that, one another, they should slay; and there was given unto him a great sword.
5 Afei, Odwammaa no tee nsɔano a ɛtɔ so mmiɛnsa no ano, na metee sɛ ɔteasefoɔ a ɔtɔ so mmiɛnsa no reka sɛ, “Bra!” Mehwɛeɛ, na mehunuu ɔpɔnkɔ tuntum bi wɔ hɔ. Ne kafoɔ no kura nsania mmienu.
And, when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature, saying—Go! And I saw, and lo! a black horse, and he that was sitting thereon holding a pair of balances in his hand.
Nanso, nsɛe nsrango no ne bobesa no!”
And I heard as a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying—A quart of wheat for, a denary, and three quarts of barley, for a denary, —and, the oil and the wine, do not wrong.
7 Afei, Odwammaa no tee nsɔano a ɛtɔ so nan no ano na metee sɛ ɔteasefoɔ a ɔtɔ so nan no reka sɛ, “Bra!”
And, when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature, saying—Go!
8 Mehwɛeɛ na mehunuu ɔpɔnkɔ nsonso bi. Wɔtoo ne sotefoɔ no din “Owuo”, na Asaman di nʼakyi pɛɛ. Wɔmaa no asase nkyɛmu nan mu baako so tumi sɛ ɔmfa ɔko, ɔkɔm, yadeɛ ne nkekaboa a wɔwɔ asase so nkunkum wɔn. (Hadēs g86)
And I saw, and lo! a livid horse, —and he that was sitting thereupon had for a name, Death, and, Hades, was following with him; and there was given unto them authority over the fourth of the earth, to slay with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
9 Afei Odwammaa no tee nsɔano a ɛtɔ so enum no ano. Mehunuu afɔrebukyia bi, na aseɛ na wɔn a wɔkumm wɔn wɔ asɛnka no ho na wɔde gyidie dii adanseɛ no akra wɔ.
And, when he opened the fifth seal, I saw, beneath the altar, the souls of them who had been slain because of the word of God and because of the witness which they held.
10 Wɔde nne a ano yɛ den kaa sɛ, “Otumfoɔ Awurade, Ɔkronkronni ne Nokwafoɔ! Woretwɛn akɔsi da bɛn ansa na wɔabu nnipa a wɔwɔ asase so atɛn, na wɔatwe wɔn aso sɛ wɔkunkum yɛn?”
And they cried out with a loud voice, saying—How long, O Sovereign, the Holy and True, dost thou not vindicate and avenge our blood from them that dwell upon the earth?
11 Wɔmaa wɔn mu biara atadeɛ fitaa, na wɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ wɔntwɛn kakra kɔsi sɛ wɔbɛkum wɔn nuanom asomfoɔ abɛka wɔn ho.
And there was given to them, each one, a white robe, and it was bidden them, that they should rest yet a little while—until the number should be made full of their fellow-servants also, and their brethren, who were about to be slain as even, they.
12 Na mehunuu sɛ Odwammaa no tee nsɔano a ɛtɔ so nsia no ano. Na asasewosoɔ a ano yɛ den baeɛ maa owia yɛɛ tumm sɛ ayitoma, na ɔsrane yɛɛ kɔɔ sɛ mogya.
And I saw, when he opened the sixth seal, that a, great earthquake, took place; and, the sun, became black as sackcloth of hair, and, the full moon, became as blood,
13 Na nsoromma tete firii soro bɛhwee asase so te sɛ deɛ mframa a ano yɛ den bɔ borɔdɔma bunu ma ɛtete gu fam pɛ.
and, the stars of heaven, fell to the earth, as, a fig-tree, sheddeth her winter figs, when, by a great wind, it is shaken,
14 Ɔsoro yeraeɛ te sɛ nwoma a wɔabobɔ, na mmepɔ ne nsupɔ firii wɔn atenaeɛ.
and, the heaven, was withdrawn, as a scroll rolling itself up, and, every mountain and island, out of their places, were shaken.
15 Na asase so ahemfo ne nnipa akɛseɛ ne asafohene ne adefoɔ ne ahoɔdenfoɔ ne nkoa ne adehyeɛ nyinaa hintahintaa abodan ne mmepɔ mu abotan mu.
And, the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rulers of thousands, and the rich, and the mighty, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves within the caves and within the rocks of the mountains;
16 Na wɔka kyerɛɛ mmepɔ no ne abotan no sɛ, “Monkata yɛn so na momfa yɛn nsie, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛyɛ a, deɛ ɔte ahennwa no so no ani renhunu yɛn, na yɛmfiri Odwammaa no abufuo ano.
and they say, unto the mountains and unto the rocks—Fall upon us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth upon the throne, and from the anger of the Lamb;
17 Wɔn abufuo no ɛda kɛseɛ aduru, na hwan na ɔbɛtumi agyina ano?”
Because the great day of their anger is come, and who is able to stand?
