1 Abɔfoɔ baason no mu baako a ɔkura nkuruwa nson no baa me nkyɛn bɛkaa sɛ, “Bra na menkyerɛ wo kwan a wɔbɛfa so atwe odwamanfoɔ kɛseɛ a ɔte nsuo pii so no aso.
And one of the seven angels having the seven bowls, came and spoke with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the judgment of the great harlot, the one sitting upon many waters:
2 Ewiase ahene ne no bɔɔ adwaman, na asase so nnipa aboto wɔ nʼadwaman nsã no mu.”
with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and those dwelling upon the earth were made drunk from the wine of her fornication.
3 Honhom no faa me maa ɔbɔfoɔ no de me kɔɔ ɛserɛ so. Ɛhɔ na mehunuu ɔbaa bi sɛ ɔte aboa kɔkɔɔ bi a wɔatwerɛ edin a ɛyɛ abususɛm agu ne ho nyinaa. Na aboa no wɔ tire nson, ne mmɛn edu.
And he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, having the names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 Na ɔbaa no hyɛ atadeɛ afasebire ne kɔkɔɔ a ɔde sikakɔkɔɔ aboɔ ne nhweneɛ a ne boɔ yɛ den ahyehyɛ ne ho. Na ɔkura sika kuruwa a afideɛ ne adwamammɔ ho nneɛma ayɛ no ma tɔ.
And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and the impurities of her fornication:
5 Na wɔatwerɛ edin bi wɔ ne moma so a ne nkyerɛaseɛ no wɔ ahintasɛm mu sɛ, “Babilonia kɛseɛ asase so adwamanfoɔ ne akyiwadeɛ maame.”
and upon her forehead her name was written; Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother of Harlots And The Abominations of The Earth.
6 Na mehunuu sɛ Onyankopɔn nkurɔfoɔ ne Yesu akyidifoɔ a wɔkumm wɔn no mogya aboro no. Mehunuu no no, ɛyɛɛ me nwanwa.
And I saw the woman drunken from the blood of the saints, and from the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and seeing her, I was astonished with great astonishment.
7 Ɔbɔfoɔ no bisaa me sɛ, “Adɛn enti na ɛyɛ wo nwanwa? Mɛkyerɛ wo ahintasɛm nkyerɛaseɛ a ɛwɔ ɔbaa no ne aboa no a ɔwɔ tire nson ne mmɛn edu a ɔte ne so no ho.
And the angel said to me, Wherefore wast thou astonished? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman and of the beast which carries her, having the seven heads and ten horns.
8 Aboa a wohunuu no no na ɔte ase, nanso ɔnte ase bio. Ɔrebɛfiri bunu no mu aba ama wɔasɛe no. Nnipa a wɔte asase so a wɔantwerɛ wɔn din angu ateasefoɔ nwoma no mu ansa na wɔrebɔ ewiase no, sɛ wɔhunu aboa no a, ɛbɛyɛ wɔn nwanwa. Ɛberɛ bi na ɔte ase, nanso seesei ɔnte ase na ɔbɛsane aba. The beast which you saw was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss, and go into perdition: and those dwelling upon the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will be astonished, seeing the beast, because he was, and is not, and will be. (Abyssos g12)
9 “Nyansa ne nteaseɛ ho hia wɔ ha. Etire nson no gyina hɔ ma mmepɔ nson, mmepɔ a ɔbaa no tena so. Wɔyɛ ahene baason nso
Here is a mind having wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, where the woman sits upon them,
10 a wɔn mu baanum awuwu, na wɔn mu baako da so di ɔhene na ɔbaako a ɔka wɔn ho no mmaeɛ. Na sɛ ɔba a ɔbɛdi ɔhene kakra.
and there are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, and another is not yet come; and when he may come it behooves him to remain a little while.
11 Aboa no a anka na ɔte ase na afei deɛ, ɔnte ase no yɛ ɔhene a ɔtɔ so nwɔtwe a ɔka baason a wɔdi ɛkan no ho a ɔrekɔ ne sɛeɛ mu.
The beast which was, and is not, and the same is the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going into perdition.
12 “Mmɛn edu a wohunuiɛ no yɛ ahene edu a wɔmfirii wɔn ahennie ase a wɔbɛma wɔn tumi na wɔne aboa no adi ɔhene dɔnhwereɛ no.
And the ten horns which you saw, are ten kings, who live not yet received a kingdom; but they receive authority as kings one hour with the beast.
13 Wɔn nyinaa wɔ botaeɛ baako, na wɔde wɔn ahoɔden ne wɔn tumi bɛma aboa no.
These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast.
14 Wɔbɛko atia Odwammaa no, na ɔno ne nʼakyidifoɔ, agyidifoɔ ne nokwafoɔ a wɔafrɛ wɔn no bɛdi wɔn so, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔyɛ awuranom mu Awurade ne ahene mu Ɔhene.”
These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall conquer them, because he is the Lord of lords, and King of kings: and with him are the called, and the elect, and the faithful.
15 Ɔbɔfoɔ no nso ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, “Nsuo a wohunuiɛ a odwamanfoɔ no te so no yɛ nkuro ne nkurɔfoɔ akuakuo ne aman ne kasa hodoɔ.
And he says to me, The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 Mmɛn edu ne aboa no a wohunuiɛ no bɛkyiri odwamanfoɔ no. Wɔbɛfa biribiara a ɛwɔ ne ho ama wada adagya. Wɔbɛwe ne nam na wɔde ogya ahye no.
And the ten horns which you saw and the beast, these will hate the harlot, and will make her desolate and naked, and eat her flesh, and burn her up with fire;
17 Ɛfiri sɛ, Onyankopɔn de ahyɛ wɔn akoma mu sɛ wɔbɛpene so de wɔn tumi ama aboa no na wadi ɔhene kɔsi sɛ Onyankopɔn asɛm no bɛba mu de ahyɛ ne botaeɛ no ma.
for God has given it into their hearts to do his mind, and to have one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 Ɔbaa a wohunuu no no yɛ kuro kɛseɛ a ɛdi asase so ahene so.”
And the woman whom you saw is the great city, the one having dominion over the kings of the earth.
