1 Awurade di ɔhene, ma asase ani nnye; ma nsupɔ ahodoɔ nsɛpɛ wɔn ho.
Adonai reigns! Let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of islands be glad!
2 Omununkum ne esum kabii atwa ne ho ahyia; tenenee ne atɛntenenee yɛ nʼahennwa no fapem.
Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and mishpat ·justice· are the foundation of his throne.
3 Ogya di nʼanim na ɛhye nʼatamfoɔ wɔ afanan nyinaa.
A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side.
4 Nʼanyinam hran ewiase; asase ahunu, na ne ho popo.
His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles.
5 Mmepɔ nane sɛ nku wɔ Awurade anim, Awurade a asase nyinaa wɔ no no anim.
The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Adonai, at the presence of 'Adon [Lord] of the whole earth.
6 Ɔsoro pae mu ka ne tenenee kyerɛ na aman nyinaa hunu nʼanimuonyam.
The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his kavod ·weighty glory·.
7 Ahonisomfoɔ nyinaa anim agu ase, wɔn a wɔde abosomhuhuo hoahoa wɔn ho no, anyame nyinaa monsɔre no.
Let all them be shamed who abad ·serve· engraved images, who boast in their idols. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship him, all you angels!
8 Sion te, na ne ho sɛpɛ no na Yuda nkuraase ani gye Ao Awurade, ɛsiane wʼatɛntenenee enti.
Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] sh'ma ·heard obeyed· and was glad. The daughters of Judah [Praised] rejoiced, because of your judgments, Adonai.
9 Wo, Ao Awurade ne Ɔsorosoroni wɔ asase so nyinaa; wɔama wo so pa ara wɔ anyame nyinaa mu.
For you, Adonai, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all deities.
10 Ma wɔn a wɔdɔ Awurade no nkyiri bɔne, ɔbɔ ne nkurɔfoɔ a wɔyɛ nokwafoɔ no ho ban na ɔgye wɔn firi amumuyɛfoɔ nsam.
You who 'ahav ·affectionately love· Adonai, hate evil. He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Hann to gu teneneefoɔ so na anigyeɛ ba wɔn a wɔn akoma mu teɛ so.
Light is sown for the upright, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Momma mo ani nnye Awurade mu, mo teneneefoɔ nyinaa, na monkamfo ne din kronkron no.
Be glad in Adonai, you upright people! Yadah ·Extend hands in thankful praise· to his holy Name.
