< Nnwom 97 >
1 Awurade di ɔhene, ma asase ani nnye; ma nsupɔ ahodoɔ nsɛpɛ wɔn ho.
For David, when his land is established. The Lord reigns, let the earth exult, let many islands rejoice.
2 Omununkum ne esum kabii atwa ne ho ahyia; tenenee ne atɛntenenee yɛ nʼahennwa no fapem.
Cloud, and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgement are the establishment of his throne.
3 Ogya di nʼanim na ɛhye nʼatamfoɔ wɔ afanan nyinaa.
Fire shall go before him, and burn up his enemies round about.
4 Nʼanyinam hran ewiase; asase ahunu, na ne ho popo.
His lightnings appeared to the world; the earth saw, and trembled.
5 Mmepɔ nane sɛ nku wɔ Awurade anim, Awurade a asase nyinaa wɔ no no anim.
The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 Ɔsoro pae mu ka ne tenenee kyerɛ na aman nyinaa hunu nʼanimuonyam.
The heavens have declared his righteousness, and all the people have seen his glory.
7 Ahonisomfoɔ nyinaa anim agu ase, wɔn a wɔde abosomhuhuo hoahoa wɔn ho no, anyame nyinaa monsɔre no.
Let all that worship graven images be ashamed, who boast of their idols; worship him, all you his angels.
8 Sion te, na ne ho sɛpɛ no na Yuda nkuraase ani gye Ao Awurade, ɛsiane wʼatɛntenenee enti.
Sion heard and rejoiced; and the daughters of Judea exulted, because of your judgements, O Lord.
9 Wo, Ao Awurade ne Ɔsorosoroni wɔ asase so nyinaa; wɔama wo so pa ara wɔ anyame nyinaa mu.
For you are Lord most high over all the earth; you are greatly exalted above all gods.
10 Ma wɔn a wɔdɔ Awurade no nkyiri bɔne, ɔbɔ ne nkurɔfoɔ a wɔyɛ nokwafoɔ no ho ban na ɔgye wɔn firi amumuyɛfoɔ nsam.
You that love the Lord, hate evil; the Lord preserves the souls of his saints; he shall deliver them from the hand of sinners.
11 Hann to gu teneneefoɔ so na anigyeɛ ba wɔn a wɔn akoma mu teɛ so.
Light is sprung up for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Momma mo ani nnye Awurade mu, mo teneneefoɔ nyinaa, na monkamfo ne din kronkron no.
Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; and give thanks for a remembrance of his holiness.
