< Nnwom 91 >
1 Deɛ ɔte Ɔsorosoroni no hintabea bɛhome wɔ Otumfoɔ no nwunu mu.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, Under the shadow of the Almighty, will tarry,
2 Mɛse Awurade sɛ, “Woyɛ me dwanekɔbea ne mʼabankɛseɛ, me Onyankopɔn a mewɔ wo mu ahotosoɔ.”
Saying of Yahweh—My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I will trust.
3 Ampa ara, ɔbɛgye wo afiri fidisumfoɔ afidie mu ne owuyadeɛ mu.
For, he, will rescue thee, From the snare of the fowler, From the destructive pestilence.
4 Ɔde ne ntakra bɛkata wo so; na ne ntaban ase na wobɛnya dwanekɔbea; ne nokorɛ bɛyɛ wo banbɔ ne wo kyɛm.
With his pinion, will he cover thee, And, under his wings, shalt thou seek refuge, A shield and buckler, is his faithfulness.
5 Worensuro anadwo mu ahunahuna, anaa bɛmma a ɛtu awia,
Thou shalt not be afraid, Of the dread of the night, Of the arrow that flieth by day;
6 anaa owuyadeɛ a ɛba esum mu, anaa ɔyaredɔm a ɛsɛe owigyinaeɛ.
Of the pestilence that, in darkness, doth walk, Of the plague that layeth waste at noonday.
7 Apem bɛtotɔ wo nkyɛn mu, na ɔpedu bɛtotɔ wo nifa, nanso, wo deɛ, ɛrenka wo.
There shall fall, at thy side, a thousand, Yea, myriads, at thy right hand, Unto thee, shall it not come nigh;
8 Wʼani nko ara na wode bɛhwɛ na woahunu nnebɔneyɛfoɔ asotwe.
Save only, with thine own eyes, shalt thou discern, And, the recompense of the lawless, shalt thou see.
9 Sɛ wode Ɔsorosoroni no yɛ wo tenabea, mpo Awurade a ɔyɛ me dwanekɔbea no a,
Because, thou, [hast made] Yahweh, my refuge, —The Most High, thou hast made thy dwelling-place,
10 ɔhaw biara remma wo so, na amanehunu biara remmɛn wo ntomadan.
There shall not be sent unto thee misfortune, Nor shall, plague, come near into thy tent;
11 Ɛfiri sɛ ɔbɛhyɛ nʼabɔfoɔ a wɔhwɛ wo so no abɛbɔ wo ho ban wʼakwan nyinaa mu;
For, his messengers, will he charge concerning thee, To keep thee, in all thy ways;
12 wɔde wɔn nsa bɛpagya wo, na wo nan rensunti ɔboɔ.
On hands, will they bear thee up, Lest thou strike, against a stone, thy foot;
13 Wobɛtiatia agyata ne aprammire so, wobɛnante gyataburuwa ne ɔtweaseɛ so.
On the lion and adder, shalt thou tread, Shalt trample on young lion and crocodile.
14 Awurade ka sɛ, “Esiane sɛ ɔdɔ me enti, mɛgye no; mɛbɔ ne ho ban, ɛfiri sɛ ɔnim me din.
Because, on me, he hath set firm his love, Therefore will I deliver him, I will set him on high, Because he hath known my Name;
15 Ɔbɛfrɛ me, na mɛgye ne so; mɛka ne ho wɔ amanehunu mu, mɛgye no, na mahyɛ no animuonyam.
He shall call me, and I will answer him, With him, will, I, be, in distress, I will rescue him, and will honour him;
16 Mɛma nkwa nna a ɛware amee no na makyerɛ no me nkwagyeɛ.”
With length of days, will I satisfy him, And will show him my salvation.
