< Nnwom 83 >
1 Asaf Dwom. Ao Onyankopɔn, ntena hɔ komm; mmua wʼano, Ao Onyankopɔn, keka wo ho.
A Song, a Melody of Asaph. O God, Do not keep quiet, Do not hold thy peace, Neither be thou still, O GOD!
2 Hwɛ sɛdeɛ wʼatamfoɔ keka wɔn ho fa, na wɔn a wɔmpɛ wʼasɛm nso ama wɔn tiri so.
For lo! thine enemies, are tumultuous, And, they who hate thee, have lifted up the head;
3 Wɔde anifire repam atia wo nkurɔfoɔ wɔrepam atia wɔn a wʼakoma da wɔn so no.
Against thy people, they craftily devise a secret plot, And conspire against thy treasured ones.
4 Wɔka sɛ, “Mommra na yɛnsɛe wɔn sɛ ɔman, sɛdeɛ wɔrenkae Israel din bio.”
They have said—Come, and let us wipe them out from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.
5 Wɔde adwene korɔ bɔ pɔ; na wɔpam tia wo,
For they have taken counsel with one heart, Against thee—a covenant, would they solemnize—
6 Edom ntomadan ne Ismaelfoɔ, Moabfoɔ ne Hagarfoɔ,
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebalfoɔ ne Amonfoɔ ne Amalekfoɔ, Filistifoɔ ne Tirofoɔ.
Gebal and Ammon, and Amalek, The Philistines, with the dwellers in Tyre;
8 Asiria mpo akɔka wɔn ho de wɔn ahoɔden akɔhyɛ Lot asefoɔ deɛ mu kena.
Even Assyria hath joined herself with them, They have become an arm to the sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Yɛ wɔn sɛdeɛ woyɛɛ Midian sɛdeɛ woyɛɛ Sisera ne Yabin wɔ asubɔnten Kison ho no,
Make them like Midian, like Sisera, like Jabin, by the torrent of Kishon;
10 wɔn a wɔsɛee wɔ En-Dor na wɔdanee nwira no.
They perished at En-dor, They become manure for the soil!
11 Yɛ wɔn atitire sɛ Oreb ne Seeb, ne wɔn mmapɔmma nyinaa sɛ Seba ne Salmuna,
Make them—their nobles—like Oreb and like Zeeb, And, like Zebah and like Zalmunna, all their princes:
12 a wɔkaa sɛ, “Momma yɛmfa Onyankopɔn adidibea nsase no.”
Who said—Let us take a possession for ourselves, The pastures of God!
13 Ao me Onyankopɔn, yɛ wɔn sɛ twahoframa mu mfuturo, sɛ ntɛtɛ a mframa bɔ guo.
O my God, make them, As whirling [dust], As chaff before a wind;
14 Sɛdeɛ ogya hye kwaeɛ, na ogyaframa sɔ nkokoɔ mu hye no no,
As a fire burneth a forest, —And as a flame setteth mountains ablaze,
15 saa ara na fa wʼahum taa wɔn na fa wo mframa a ano yɛ den no hunahuna wɔn.
So, wilt thou pursue them with thy tempest, —And, with thy storm-wind, wilt terrify them:
16 Ma animguaseɛ nka wɔn, na ama nnipa apɛ wo din akyiri ɛkwan, Ao Awurade.
Fill thou their faces with dishonour, That men may seek thy Name, O Yahweh;
17 Ma wɔn anim ngu ase na wɔn abasa mu ntu; ma wɔnwuwu wɔ animguaseɛ mu.
Let them turn pale, and be terrified to futurity, Yea let them blush, and perish:
18 Ma wɔnhunu sɛ wo a wo din de Awurade no, wo nko ara ne Ɔsorosoroni wɔ asase so nyinaa. Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ sɛ wɔnto no wɔ gittit sankuo nne so.
That men may know that, thou, Whose Name alone is Yahweh, Art Most High over all the earth.
