< Nnwom 81 >
1 Asaf dwom. Monto ahurisie dwom mma Onyankopɔn yɛn ahoɔden; mommɔ ose mma Yakob Onyankopɔn no!
“To the chief musician upon Gittith; by Assaph.” Sing aloud unto God our strength: shout joyfully unto the God of Jacob.
2 Momma nnwom no so na monwoso akasaeɛ. Mommɔ sankuo ne bɛnta dɛɛdɛ no.
Lift up psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
3 Monhyɛne mmɛntia ɔsrane foforɔ da no, ne ɔsrane korokumatwa mu, yɛn Apontoɔ da no;
Blow on the new moon the cornet, at the time appointed, on the day of our feast.
4 Yei yɛ Israelfoɔ ahyɛdeɛ, Yakob Onyankopɔn mmara.
For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance by the God of Jacob.
5 Ɔtintimiiɛ sɛ nhyehyɛeɛ maa Yosef ɛberɛ a ɔsɔre tiaa Misraim no, faako a yɛtee kasa a yɛnte aseɛ no.
As a testimony in Joseph did he ordain it, when he went out over the land of Egypt. The language of one I had not known did I hear.
6 Ɔka sɛ, “Meyii adesoa no firii mo mmatire so, ne mo nsa firii adwumaden ho.
I removed from the burden his shoulder: his hands left behind the burden-basket.
7 Mo ahohiahia mu, mofrɛɛ me na megyee mo, megyee mo so wɔ aprannaa mu; me sɔɔ mo hwɛeɛ wɔ Meriba nsuo ho.
In distress thou didst call, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret of the thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)
8 “Ao me nkurɔfoɔ, montie me kɔkɔbɔ yi, Ao Israel, sɛ mobɛtie me a!
Hear, O my people, and I will give warning unto thee; O Israel, if thou wouldst but hearken unto me!
9 Ɛnsɛ sɛ monya anyame foforɔ bi wɔ mo mu; ɛnsɛ sɛ mokoto ananafoɔ nyame.
There shall not be among thee a foreign God; nor shalt thou bow thyself down to any strange God.
10 Mene Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn a meyii mo firii Misraim asase so no. Mommue mo anom tɛtrɛɛ na mɛhyɛ mu ma.
I am the Lord thy God, who have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: open wide thy mouth, and I will fill it.
11 “Nanso me nkurɔfoɔ rentie me; Israel remmrɛ ne ho ase mma me.
But my people did not hearken to my voice; and Israel was not willing [to follow] me.
12 Enti megyaa wɔn maa wɔn akomaden sɛ wɔnyɛ deɛ wɔpɛ biara.
So I let them go in the stubbornness of their own hearts: and they walked in their own counsels.
13 “Sɛ me nkurɔfoɔ tie me, na Israel nante mʼakwan so a,
Oh that my people would hearken unto me, that Israel would walk in my ways!
14 anka mɛdi wɔn atamfoɔ so ama wɔn ntɛm na mama me basa so atia wɔn a wɔkyiri wɔn!
In a little while would I subdue their enemies, and against their adversaries would I turn my hand.
15 Wɔn a wɔtane Awurade no de suro bɛkoto no, na wɔn asotwe to rentwa da.
The haters of the Lord should offer flattery unto him; but their time should endure for ever.
16 Nanso, wɔde atokoɔ mu atokoɔ papa bɛma mo adi; mede ɔbotan mu woɔ bɛma mo amee.”
And he would feed him with the best of wheat: and out of the rock would I satisfy thee with honey.
